  Hello

  I need some opinions on what I'm trying to achieve. I add this here and not server space under Weblogic, since I am trying to understand server upgrade complications related to Webcenter sites.

  We are reclassification of FatWire 7.5.4 to FatWire 7.6.2 on our way to WebCenter sites 11.1.1.8. The FatWire 7.5 is installed on Weblogic 10.3.0. We seek to upgrade to FatWire 7.6.2 on Weblogic 10.3.0 and then subsequently pass Weblogic to 10.3.5.

  We are looking at two possible options for the upgrade from weblogic.

  1 using Weblogic utility upgrade to upgrade from Weblogic to 10.3.5 Weblogic 10.3.0(with FatWire 7.6.2).

  2. place a distinct environment with Weblogic 10.3.5. Deploy the application CS (from the Weblogic 10.3.0) in Weblogic 10.3.5, port during the installation directory (/fatwire) and the shared directory. Point the new data source to the database.

  My questions are

  1. is there another way, this has been implemented?

  2 everyone faced complications with Option 1 (which is the simplest)?

  3. for Option 2, I do not think there is any configuration in the file shared/install dir/cs application/database that are specific to the application server, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

  I suggest option [1]: upgrade Sites WebCenter to 7.6.2 first and then upgrade WebLogic at 10.3.5, like Sites is supported only on WLS10.3.5 from Sites 7.6.2.

  It is possible to set up a separate WebLogic 10.3.5, but during the original WLS Portage to the new, can be tricky. There are a few properties that depend on the appserver specific, such as cs.jsproot settings in futuretense.ini. There may be other properties in other files as well. I don't have a comprehensive list.

  I through the installation guide to install 11.1.2.1 & found that, in the assemblies required for the services of the Foundation, it is an assembly called "Upgrade WebLogic jar file" mentioned in the tutorial. When I extracted the Foundation
  
  files 1-7, I don't see this assembly in this excerpt. I extracted even the publication of additional content & I have not see this assembly in the folder where I extracted.

  It is mandatory and yes the extract in the same folder. While they improve the documentation available in this version, they have missed a fairly heavy reliance in the form of the Weblogic software.

  I need to install ODI 12 c in my machine. 12 c ODI needs + 11.2.0.3 database oracle or 12 c, but I'm running on oracle 11.2.0.1 with OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 db.

  I was wondering can I go for a clean install with obiee 11.1.1.9.0 and odi 12 c + 12 c database. But I am facing a large number of conflicts of compatibility here. Please clarify my doubts I framed questions below.

  1. my machine running on an OS Windows 2008 R2, Enterprise Edition. It does support OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0?

  2. because my machine is already installed with the package OBI, I was wondering if I can only move the database to 12 C. This raises a question as 'OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 Will work with oracle db 12 c?

  For 1) get the matrix certification OBIEE (Google for it).

  For 2) if it is a test environment or sandbox, yes you can just upgrade your DB.

  OBIEE 11.1.1.7 works very well with DB12c, but if yours is a PROD environment, you will need to upgrade weblogic to be certified (if test or sandbox with a certified system isn't a priority for me).

  I install BIAPPS 11.1.1.8.1.  I finished the configuration of BIAPPS and finally come to upgrade weblogic 10.3.5. to 10.3.6.

  I stop all BI services and restart the server. After a reboot, I stopped the Oracle WebLogic NodeManager

  at the time of the upgrade of the 1.3.5 weblogic server. to 10.3.6. I got the following error:

  "Fatal error encountered during the installation of the file. The willingness of cleanup now install and get out! D:\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\win\x64\wlfileio3.dll(the process Cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)'.

  I got the answer that we must stop services databases oracle as well. We must stop DBConsole, NodeManager, TNS Listener and Oracle service and then start the 10.3.6 weblogic upgrade...

  Hi gurus,

  I have a guestion, I want to upgrade the EMP 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.3 with Maintenance Release Installation (machines are same and the directory are the same).

  When setting is the option import the data from an earlier example at the Regional service.

  My question is shoud I use this option or not?

  I know I use this same database for configuration so I select the option to connect to the database that is already configured.

  My second question is, when you set up should I deploy all components in the existing domain or should I create new domain?

  It is not so important is a maintenance release, which is usually used when it is an upgrade from a version prior to 11.1.2.x

  You would deploy to an existing domain.

  I usually start my EMP services using the script./start.sh. Once the script has completed, I am able to carry my EPM applications.

  My question est,./start.sh script does not start weblogic (correct me if I'm wrong) that how I'm able to run applications that are deployed on weblogic server? When it does not.

  The script should start all the EMP components installed on the machine, it is be run by which includes weblogic web applications (not just the Management Server)

  "EMP heating contractor installs a single startup script in EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin, called start.bat | sh. run the script of single boot on a machine in your EPM deployment system starts all services of EPM system installed on this machine." The start script works by calling the individual start scripts for each product. »

  No, built-in weblogic server is not necessary in jdeveloper for bpel upgrade.

  If you are migrating bpel go separate domain and weblogic/managed servers, don't use integrated weblogic.

  Our developers have installed Weblogic with Jdeveloper. Now, I'm trying to set up a production environment and use only the version of the ADF.
  DOWNLOAD, ADF runtime is available in version 11.1.1.6 only.
  With that, I was able to start and stop WebLogic, connect to the console via http or https.
  
  Now, I did the upgrade to ADF 11.1.2.3 using $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.sh.
  The weblogic process starts, but the console is not displayed. Not on the client, not the server (Oracle Linux 6.3).
  When I use stopWebLogic.sh to stop WebLogic, I get:

  I put the MaxPermSpace in setDomainEnv.sh to 4096 m. It always seems that the MaxPermSize value is not used.

  Download and install WLS 10.3.6. Download and install the Application Developer 11.1.1.6. For more information, see the Oracle Fusion Middleware Installation Planning Guide.
  Run the Configuration Wizard of Fusion Middleware and create a new domain or extend an existing domain using the form of statement TOGETHER, EM + GOSA field template.
  Download the Opatch beams 11.1.2.3.0 and use the opatch tool to apply the patches (see install the Patch below).
  Stop servers to domain target.
  Run the command "upgradeADF" of WLST in offline mode (see run the commands below).
  Restart the servers.
