  • Windows Media Player C00D11BA error after upgrade (?) to Windows 8.1 8.0 on the urge

    I have one:

    Intel Core i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20 GHz

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

    #1 AudioDevice: Intel(r) Audio display

#2 AudioDevice: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

After I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 and was playback of an MP3 file, I got this Windows error mseesage, "Windows Media Player C00D11BA error" and no sound. Many required devices as their drivers updated and completed.

    Please advise,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.1

When you're done, shut down the laptop by holding down the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporrily prevent a hybrid boot.

Only start the laptop and let Windows load completely - it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - restart the computer and try to play the mp3 file.

  • I just bought Windows 7 upgrade Windows Vista. I get the error message: operation is not supported on this platform. What should I do to get this latest version in my computer?

The upgrade from Vista to Windows 7

I just bought Windows 7 upgrade Windows Vista. I get the error message: operation is not supported on this platform. What should I do to get this latest version in my computer?

Have you tried to do an upgrade installation or a custom installation?  A custom installation requires you to back up your files and settings with Windows Easy Transfer and then reinstall everything after installing the new.  If an update install does not install work, you need to do a custom.

In addition, a Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade will not work and you get a message from a platform if you have bought a UA and tried to use it with Vista.  Vista upgrade requires a detail, a copy in the Windows 7 box.

  • Update to Windows 7 RTM failing - error 80070652 - cannot install new software or run Windows Update successfully.

I upgraded from Win 7 RC for Win 7 RTM on my 64-bit machine from Dell and started installing all my software.  Everything was fine until I started Windows Update and had a list of 15 updates that needed to be done.  Several have had agreements that I had to accept, he wasn't the normal process of "update in the background.  I had to leave and is concerned to let the process of continuous updating on its own and potentially hang, so I cancelled it.

Since then, I can't install any software or to upgrade my system.  Updates fail with the error message "WindowsUpdate_80070652" which seems to be undefined.  In some cases, I get an error message another installation is running and the current installation or update cannot be performed until the end of the current installation.

I restarted my dozens of machine time and then immediately began installing or upgrading windows - without success.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  It seems that there is a dead plant that does not block updates and installs.
