So you must upgrade to Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1 then first if you want to keep everything, including applications 'compatible '.

  • I use Win 7 Upgrade Wizard with retail Win 7?

    Hello!

I have a copy of the tune upgrade that came with the upgrade for my HP Pavilion desktop computer. I'll be updating my HP DV4-1140GO with an upgrade to Windows 7 retail of Ms.

Is the universal HP Upgrade Wizard, which is can be used with any HP computer (desktop or laptop)?

It will work with a retail upgrade disk?

    Is this a good idea?

    Thanks for your advice.

More than likely it will not be. The upgrade wizard is specific for your desk top drivers are concerned. Some software may be accessed and used for your laptop.

If you want to upgrade to another version of W7, go to the control panel and find Windows Anytime Upgrade. Everything is left in place, and all you have to do is to enter a valid product key for the version you want.

If you want to get rid of HP bloat-ware, then it is much easier just uninstall everything and then go to the road you expect.

I can help you with what you need to uninstall to tilt your device off.

If you go to W7 from Vista, I would like to know if this is what you are thinking, and I can help you with that also. There is a right way and struggling to do.

I ask, what IS the real purpose of the upgrade wizard?

OK guys, here is the solution, UNLESS you do what yoyur HP upgrade wizard is not necessary, if your unfirmiliar with it, then iether use the hp dvd Wizard or that someone do it for you, go to the phase of upgrade by myself helped a lot and well spent, I still cyberlink and work and so far , both are working properly, all the hp software is up to date and drivers fine airy

Although I will admit windows update returns with an error when you try to install a driver from nvidia, but that's why microsoft invented hide update.

Once again, here is the solution, hope this help anyone

  • Use the HP upgrade wizard disk?

Have seen a few posts that it is better NOT to use the HP upgrade wizard disk. Have seen the messages the disck Upgrade Wizard disables some programs/features and all the necessary drivers are available on the HP site.  Instead, we should just update directly from the Windows 7 disc.  Should you use the upgrade wizard disk?

    ewrayjr,

The upgrade wizard will uninstall some programs that are not compatible with Windows 7 and the replacement by versions of Windows 7 compatible, for example Norton Internet Security.  It will contain also most (if not all) of the drivers that you will need for your PC.

The upgrade wizard is highly recommended for a smooth upgrade process.

  • Windows 10 Upgrade Wizard does not load.

So it is a problem that also occurs in many other programs. I'm going to click on the Windows 10 Upgrade Wizard and it is a blank white screen. No text, no icon nothing.

In some cases turns an opener of small file as follows:

This opening queue results in this:

I'm at a loss to know what to do, and it doesn't have this with any of my programs before July 14. Skype does exactly the same thing.

Its a 64-bit computer. I think that it is an update of the system, but I don't know who it is, and also I tried to restore my computer to an earlier date, but only, he went to 15. Any guidance would be great

I trained the same frustrating problem (even left my computer on all night I slept and, in the morning, the "Windows Upgrade Wizard" window was STILL white and white and nothing had apparently changed on my hard drive).

Today, I think I found the solution to acquire freedom, 'Windows 10' upgrade...

    GO TO: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Site legitimate "Microsoft", you will use the 'media creation tool' and be able to improve your "Windows 7 - 8.1" computer on site (OR) you will be given the option to install support for upgrade to a USB FlashDrive (like me) or on DVD, to upgrade your computer at a later date. "

Once you access the site, carefully read all the instructions, then click on the "TOOL of DOWNLOADING NOW" icon, then you should be on your way.

(COUNCIL IMPORTANT):  If you use a flash drive to install the program Windows Media 10 to upgrade FUTURE to your machine, make sure you use a single WHO IS EMPTY, the installation process will ERASE anything on the flash drive.  ALSO, it seems that the flash player will also be REFORMATTED in the process, so try not to "lose" a significant flash drive (like me... my "Sandisk" flash drive became a 32 GB drive after installation, which uses less than 4 GB of space on the 128 GB flash)!

Do the following before upgrade you to Windows 8.1.

Check if the manufacturer of your computer/laptop has Windows 8.1 drivers available for your model.

If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.
