Upgrade Windows 7 Ultimate on X201T

Hello, I just got my X201T Tablet I bought in English version. I tried to install a pack of Spanish handwriting recognition, but Microsoft, you must have installed to use packs of diferent from those who come preinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate, I have Windows 7 Profesional. I have 2 questions:

1. is Ultimate Windows supported by the X201T?

2. If so, don't sell Lenovo that licenses and upgrade? Or where can I buy it?

Thank you very much

Rafael Poggi

P.S.: I now understand why there are so many people happy with Lenovo ThinkPads, they are formidable power tools...

Hi fafelpoggi!

Yes Windows Ultimate is supported by the X201T.

In many countries, you can upgrade professional to ultimate online using Microsoft upgrade Express. However you cannot make Bolivia online, so that you will have to buy a license key from a store. The software is already on your system, and allows him just need the key and takes ten minutes or so.

You are right that the Windows 7 Release Candidate cannot be upgraded to the final release:
You will need to find a way to re - install Windows Vista using recovery discs or discs an OEM Windows Vista and then upgrade to Windows 7.

my old software of file will remain?

The upgrade in version i.e. Starter to Home Premium/Professional/Ultimate must not remove any programs or files. This is because first of all it's unlocking the features that were already there, but disabled.

Having said that ANY task that involves significant changes to the operating system or disk must always be preceded by a complete system backup and copy your data files

  • Upgrade Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Professional (the two 32-bit) using Express upgrade after that my hard drive crashed.

    Hello:

As the title says, I have recently updated my new hard drive, I got from Dell's Windows Vista Ultimate Edition of Windows 7 Professional. I don't have the product key for the Express upgrade, so I'm unable to activate my copy. The last time this was back in 2009 when I bought the Express upgrade, so I don't know what I did to fix this problem.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

    Hello

I suggest you only to contact a Microsoft Customer Service representative to activate your copy of Windows.

  • Upgrade Windows 7 Ultimate - where is Microsoft Tinker?

I have licenses for 10 copies of Windows 7 and 1 copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.  I chose to put the ultimate on my desk, so my wife could use the Microsoft Tinker game, which I think she would appreciate.

It did not include.  Any word anywhere in the forums or sites of Windows 7 that I could see on the intention to register.

After you run Windows Vista Ultimate Edition on a single machine and find Tinker, the only thing to recommend Ultimate over other versions, the law to let her out of Win7 Ultimate stuns me.

    When is this corrected?

Sorry MilneCat! But Windows Ultimate Extras is no longer part of Windows 7 or Windows 7 Ultimate edition.
You can't get Microsoft Tinker on Windows 7.

  • Cannot upgrade Windows Vista Ultimate Edition after the HD upgrade

I have an ASUS computer which is about five years old and works fine. It runs only Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1.
The HD has been giving signs which is failing. I bought a new HD and copied the old HD to the biggest news. Everything seems to work fine until I tried to run Windows Update. It does not allow me to update and gives the 8024A 000 error code every time I try to run it. I called ASUS for help and they said
    to contact me Microsoft.

    Thank you

I found the solution to this problem. I went to another Windows help forum. It is to reset the Windows Update program. I tried the one here on the Microsoft site, and it did not work. But I tried this one http://wind8apps.com/windows-update-error-code-8024a000/ and the fist solution worked like a charm. He fixed the update and install issues with Powershell 2.0. After that and a certain number of updates, it's updated, Windows Update will update to the latest version. After this release he went and found many updates, I had to install. So be patient, you're in for a little wait.

  • can use windows xp upgrade Windows 7 ultimate update

I bought an upgrade to ultimate from windows 7, but I see that I started at ultimate level for XP and I'm running 7 home version and he did not notice until what I had already opened the package and I can't take back. It will modernize the windows 7 I have?
    Thanks Robert

Yes, you can use to upgrade to Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 Home Basic or Home Premium.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

  • WIndows 7 Ultimate Upgrade

    Hi guys,.

I have a question regarding the upgrade WIndows 7 Ultimate.

I recently bought the Toshiba NB200 / C01 that comes with Windows 7 Starter.

Someone of you have upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition? The heads-up on potential upgrade problems?

Also another question regarding memory | Don't the mini are accompanied by an extra slot to add another gig of memory, or is it only a single location?

    Bravo guys

Camera is one that does not work yet. Someone I think that said drivers XP will work with Windows 7. Can I try this.

There is only one location. You remove the 1 GB module and replace it with a 2 GB module. It's the first thing I did with mine once the package has been delivered. I never ran it with 1 GB, so I can't comment on the improvement.

  • I am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate

I have several licenses of Windows that I don't use, including Vista and XP, and this license to upgrade Windows 7 Ultimate that I had used on a laptop that is dead and I sold as parts (WITHOUT the HD, I erased). It is a upgrade license, but I formatted the HD, exactly as says the help on the website of MS and done a clean install (I'm using Linux). Now, he tells me that I can't use the license to activate Windows, because it can only be used for an upgrade. What happens here? I followed the instructions related to the ability to format the HD and Windows used to ask me to insert a CD of live installation for an earlier version of Windows to do the upgrade?

Do not tell me I have to install XP or Vista and THEN do the upgrade thing, because which usually translates into an unstable installation. I need a solution, not a hack.

You can perform a custom installation that removes previous Windows version while the version upgrade qualification.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
