Upgrade Windows Vista 64 for Windows 8

How to change Windows 8 Windows Vista 64 with multiple users on a single computer?

Hello

Support for 8 stops to Jan, 2016; you upgrade to 8.1 with a clean install.

See if that helps you.

"Upgrading to Windows 8.1 of Windows Vista or Windows XP"

And ensure that your computer manufacturer has 8.1 drivers available for your model, otherwise 8.1 does not work for you...

See you soon.

  • Is it possible that I can buy an upgrade to Vista professional for Vista Ultimate?

company from vista upgrade to windows 7 ultimate

I have a PC where Vista Business came pre-installed.  I ignored the offer to upgrade to Windows 7, which was to come out soon.  Now, I need to use the bitlocker feature that is not available on my version of Vista.  It seems that my only option to achieve this functionality is upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and I need to buy a new license of Windows 7.  Is this correct?  Given that Windows 8 is expected this year there will be an offer for me to upgrade to it at a special rate?  Is it possible that I can buy just an upgrade of Vista professional for Vista Ultimate?  Thank you.

Because Anytime Upgrade is no longer available for Vista, you will need to buy a copy to standard retail or upgrade to Vista Ultimate.  Vista has been on the shelves of retailers for some time, you may need to look on online auction sites.

Remember that Vista Ultimate only adds multilingual, Bitlocker and Extras.  Are you sure that you need?

If you are seen Windows 7 please download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to determine the State of your current software under Windows 7.

Windows 8 is radically different from Vista and Windows 7.  Make sure that you preview before you buy.

My personal choice would be to continue using Vista Business or upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.  Windows 7 Ultimate does not even have Extras.

  • How to restore an upgrade to Vista HP for Vista Ultimate?

I've updated to Vista Ultimate on my laptop and now I want to restore that upgrading to Vista HP.  How do I do that?

    Hello

You CAN depending on how you installed the complete edition

If you have a folder windows.old on your hard drive and enough hard drive space you CAN rollback

and if you do not have a folder windows.old here are the different ways to reinstall vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

  • Considerations for the host of the upgrade of Vista HomePremium for Win 7

I have a large 64-bit Vista HomePremium PC as the host operating system. I've got VMWare Workstation 6.5.x running as an application on Vista and it supports two computer called Windows XP (essentially nothing else that VMware is running on the host).

I think the upgrade to Vista from readings elsewhere. Assuming that succeeded, it would be an appropriate next steps approach?

    • Re-install the VMware Workstation application on new host (Win 7)

    • point this VM Workstation application newly installed on the definitions of existing virtual machine (GER) for Windows XP 2 clients

I'm sorry not to use better terminology in my question. I hope my question makes sense for a VMware guru. I have a bit of memory on the use of the MS Virtual PC 2007 product and I think I understand the concepts but my terms are probably passing offshore for VMWare.

Other ways to address this issue are:

    • is there a list of audit planning things to do before you change your host operating system while you are a user of VMWare Workstation?

    • is there a special version or service pack for VMWare WS run on a host Windows 7 (64-bit) machine?

    jjamjatra wrote:

Thank you for your comprehensive reply and suggestions. As I answered Naki, know nothing about the intentions of VMWare on the 'official' support for Windows 7?

Official support for Windows7 as a host and guest will be included in VMware Workstation 7, which is currently in version beta (in fact it is now at the stage of the Release Candidate).

VMware comment on dates for the next version, but my guess is that 'soon' is based on the fact that it is more listed on the page of Beta here: http://communities.vmware.com/community/beta

  • Upgrade to Vista 7 for free Office 365? Need advice

I read that a clean install, not an upgrade should be done if/when I have to buy Windows 7.

However, I need to know what version of the old Windows Version would be really the best choice. I need to access; which is not on my laptop now.

I need an inexpensive choice, given that I am a student. I can use the computer lab, but I want all the bells and whistles that office 365 can offer on my laptop at home.

.. What are my options for getting a version older than Win7?

Zip, nada, zero, zero.  Microsoft wants that World runs Windows 10 now. (No, your Vista computer is not compatible with Win10.)

  • The upgrade of Vista (32) for Vista 64 on m8120n (Media Center PC)

I want to improve my PC Media Center of Vista Vista 64.  I noticed that HP has the drivers for Vista 64 on the site, very cool.  Is there anything else I should be aware of when you do?

Is it possible to dual boot between Vista and Vista 64?

I do it mainly to take advantage of the 8 GB of RAM, I use in Vista.  I have run a large number of VM and you can always use more memory.

    Thank you.

The first thing to do is to make sure that you have all the drivers for your motherboard and all your external devices, in particular wireless adapter if you use one, The 64 - bit drivers for additional cards are not always easy to find.

    Make an HP restore disc.

    If you know how to make a picture of two partitions on your hard drive. This will allow you to restore your system to the exact state, {(avec tous les programmes et données intactes) it was before you changed it.}

Dual-Boot and even quad-boot is easy to do. Note that start between a 64 bit OS and a 32 bit OS is delicate due to the boot manager that uses Vista. There are a lot of upgradings on how to do it online. Here's a search with your query as the topic. Simply use the search engine of your choice to find.

  • Upgrade from Vista 64 for Win 7 64

Have Pavilion Media Center m8530f computer. Comes with Vista 64-bit installed and I would go to Win 7 64 bit, but I can't find the drivers on the HP site? Can someone help me find the necessary drivers (and, perhaps, necessary updates to the BIOS) for Win 7?

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the reply, Hans.

Intend to do a clean install with Win 7. I appreciate the fact that Win 7 will have driver support but I expect to need drivers for: chipset, video, audio and network, at the very least. Take a look at the website of HP support to drivers available for the existing installation of Vista 64 - that's what I'm looking for Win 7.

In fact, I just followed your link of BIOS and all the necessary Win 7 drivers are here!

I couldn't get to this page from the HP Support/download site.

can I upgrade Edition Vista Home premium to windows 7 using vista anytime upgrade for free?

Lol you cannot use Anytime Upgrade upgrading Vista to Windows 7.   The Vista program to THE was the upgrade of a Vista edition to a higher edition of Vista only.  The Vista program to THE ended when Vista was removed from retail sales.  It has never been free.

THE present program is to upgrade an edition of Windows 7 to a superior and is only available to current users of Windows 7.

If you want to upgrade Vista to Windows 7, you must purchase a standard upgrade of Windows 7 at retail price.  Please see

  • Can I use a key to upgrade Windows 7 32 - bit for the upgrade to Vista 64 - bit, 7 64-bit, with a 64-bit upgrade disc?

It's a bit complicated, but I appreciate all help.

    I have the following:
    1. access to a genuine copy of Windows Vista 64-bit (regardless of the version I want) through IEEE Computer Society.
    2. a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit upgrade disc purchased through a program of student software in 2010. Shortly after using the disk and the key, the laptop I was using died due to hardware problems.
    3. a drive to upgrade Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit bought via the same pattern of student software, including an unused key.
Student software system only allows users to buy a copy of each version, so I can't buy it simply another copy of the 64-bit version.
I wonder if it is possible to use the key of the 32-bit version with the version 64-bit upgrade disk to upgrade a 64 bit Windows Vista installation to Windows 7? If this is not the case, unfortunately, I'll be stuck with Vista.
