Upgrades for Sat Pro 6000

OK, I read some of the general specifications on the site and download the manual on the site, and they say different things.

The manual says that the memory is 200 pins and only take as two 256 MB SODIMM maxing out at 512 MB of ram. Specifications page says it can take up to a gigabyte of RAM and a person says here the 6000 SatPro taking 144 pin SODIMM.

It's just too complicated to have 2 pages of different specifications mean 2 different things.

How is it difficult to upgrade this laptop anyway? Here's what I want to install in your laptop...

PCMCIA USB card 2
CD - RW in slim Bay
At least 512 MB of ram

What kind of specs I will search and is PCMCIA all standard maps? Is it the same for the bay cd - rw slim are all series? I won't go to the toshiba product page to buy these, I'll get them off ebay.

Hello

Satellite Pro 6000 can handle with max 1024 MB of RAM. Two slots are available and are compatible RAM modules
PC133 128 MB memory Kit: PA3085U - 1 M 12
Kit memory 256MB PC133: PA3086U - 1 M 25
Memory PC133 512 MB Kit: PA3108U - 1 M 51

Memory module cover is placed on the lower side and if I remember well is fixed with two screws. It is very easy to add or remove the memory module and you can do it alone.

On the PCMCIA USB 2 card I can't tell you much because there are many of them on the market. I recommend getting some info from your dealer.

Please see the s manuals for this unit and you will find a few different compatible drives that can be used. If you n t have it please go HERE

If you have any other questions, please write again.

Good bye

(DVD burner or a combination dvd/CD-RW)

As far as I know that no engraver of DVD or combo for Satellite Pro 6000 driver is available. Download and review the Satellite Pro 6000 user manual. There are readers who must be compatible.
    I found these:
Reader of DVD - ROM SD-C2502
    -Player CD-R/RW UJDA340
    -Drive CD-RW/DVD-ROM UJDA720
    -Drive CD-RW/DVD-ROM SD-R2102
Reader of DVD - ROM GDR-8081

But if you want to be 100% sure, you can contact the ASP in your country. There also order you the discs

  • CD or DVD drives for a sat pro 6000

a know if I can put a dvd player SD-C2302 model in a high satellite Pro 6000 lab number or number of everything I put in it please?

    Hi Adrien,.

You are mostly correct in your statement about CD/DVD players for your laptop. However, it is important that you buy only readers with dimensions similar to your current model.

Generally CD/DVD players come in two varieties, those intended for installing type Tower and one for laptops. These are generally referred to as "slim" or "slimfit".

To install the new drive, you must usually to unscrew and remove the brackets used to dock your player to your laptop as well as fittings plastic components. These must then be attached to your new drive.

Computers laptop Toshiba use various commands (Toshiba, TEAC, Mat * a, etc.) then you will usually have a pretty wide variety to choose.

Finally, you may need to download drivers for your new drive if none was provided or if the version of your purchase an OEM. These can be obtained on the web site of car manufacturers.

  • How can I get a hard copy of a manual for Satellite Pro 6000?

    Hello Forum users

My brother and I bought my father (at age 81) a Satellite Pro 6000 model PS600E-20EE1-EN on E - Bay for Christmas. There is unfortunately no manual with the laptop. I'm in Australia and my father's in the United Kingdom and he asked me to help to get your hands on a paper manual.

As I don't know anything about Toshiba laptops or point of sale UK, I was wondering if someone could help. I tried for an hour on the net but could not find a manual to download, which seems to correspond to the above specifications. I guess I could make a phone call international to support the customer in the United Kingdom, but thought I'd try here everything first. My dad would really like a paper, in order to download manual is second best option.

All the tracks were greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I really like this AE & body use all threads, made in the background (which results in NO crashes (so far)) because my old 120 GT video card apparently is more stifling that it worked in FX in FCP 7 & 4 Motion.

    1. Q - can someone point me in the direction of how Adobe got the device to use all the cores and threads and run it in 64-bit, but starts in 32 bit?

In terms of performance, (rendered in particular) I know I should go to the Apple/ATI 5870 graphics card, but as a veterinarian of fixed-income securities disabled, $450 is hard to find. I evaluated cards flashes, including those of macvidcards on ebay, but for used cards which are flashed, it gives me pause, especially when they are about the same price as the new price of 5870.

For After Effects, more RAM is better. For Premiere Pro, an improved GPU is more important. In addition, you might consider spending money even on an SSD, which is beneficial for both (for caches).

  • The maximum size of HDD for Satellite Pro 6000?

Hi, I am trying to install a 60 GB hard drive, but it is shaped, and it stops at the instalation of Windows XP Pro.

Is there a size limit of HD?

    Thank you

    Hello

It stops without any error message? If this isn't the case, then try another copy of Windows XP since the Satellite Pro 6000 shouldn´t have problems with this drive. I had 2 years a similar machine and I also got a 60 GB Toshiba HARD drive installed. It worked like a charm, so I can't imagine that the hard drive could be the problem.

    See you soon

  • SSD upgrade for Satellite Pro P200 (PSPB7A-01000J) - possible?

    Hello world

I had a Satellite Pro P200 for 3 years and more. It came with Vista Business pre-installed, but I have successfully installed Windows 7 a few months ago.

A few months ago, I replaced the C drive in my office with a Solid State Drive and now he sings - program start and loading of the system is much faster than before.

Now I'm wondering if the SSD upgrade even could be done to my trusty P200 and if yes, what brand/model of SSD could be better. It should be 128 GB or 256 GB maybe.

Anyone else been in this way? The results? Pitfalls?

    All responses appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Greg.

    Hello

I think that it should be possible.
You must use a SATA SSD drive since the laptop supports the SATA controller.
To be honest, I never tried to upgrade the laptop with a SSD but SSD is not very different from the HARD drive and normally should not be a problem.
In some cases, an update of the firmware of SSD may be necessary but usually these firmware updates should be available on the SSD drive manufacturer support page.

  • HDD upgrade for Satellite Pro M70

Is anyone know the upgrades available to change the standard 60GB hard drive in the Satellite Pro M70 (PSM76E-00100KEN) with something bigger.

The Toshiba Options site shows only optionally available external hard drives, but noticed that the newer models of the same family have between 80 and 100 GB discs, so I asked if any of these would correspond, for example:

    PSM75E-00P004EN uses a 100 GB drive
    PSM76E-00500KEN uses a 80 GB drive

You can also all drives available from other sources that might be suitable - what spec should I look, speed, installation size, connections etc. and BIOS compatibility

All the info appreciated, surprising how fast the disk fills up, and I would like to keep in-house, although I also use an external drive of 250 GB for home storage and backups etc.

    Thank you
    Steve

    Hello

The Satellite Pro M70 series is great, but I think that every m70 must support a HARD drive with serial - ATA interface.
Some units have been delivered with a 80 GB HARD drive. In my view, that a 100 GB HARD drive should also work.

I found a few properties of the HARD drive:
    Rotating disk: 5400 RPM
    Buffer size: 8 MB
    Number of discs: 2
    Number of Heads: 4

  • Are there drivers available for Sat - Pro A300s this channel to use 12 & 13?

    We use Windows XP SP2 & SP3. The A300 that I use has a RealTek 8187 B wireless card.

Our Organization has a number of Satellite Pro A200, A300, laptops computers L300.

We have identified that there is a scouce of interference (we are unable to find the source) which blanks on channel 11 in a part of our site. I thought that the easy way would be to go to channel 13, because it is above the interference. Interference is on an extremely tight between the middle of the Ch9 & Ch10. frequency (I can connect the access point to a range of 6-12 "but cannot connect to 3')

Our access points all know we are in Europe and so allow us to use the channel 12 & 13. our sniffer radio show transmitting them to channel 13, but laptop will not connect to them. I assume that the driver follows the American standard and ends at channel 11, who was born in the inf file that specifies the max 11 channel.

Is there an easy way, we can use the channels 12 & 13, which are valid strings here in Europe?

    Hello

I found very interesting paper Toshiba that explain why only 11 channels are available:

Why is it not possible to use all 13 channels WiFi on a Toshiba WiFi card?
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ35002P0001R01.htm

+ The European Standard ETS 300328 allows for 13 channels. A card that is able to use all of the 13 channels is a so-called "ETS-map" These cards-ETS can be used in Europe. +
+ In the USA and the Canada, there are only 11 permitted use WiFi channels. +
+ In Japan, there are 13 channels like in Europe. +
+ In order to use a WiFi card anywhere in the world, has created a so-called "WORLD Card" standard with 11 channels. +
+ WiFi Toshiba cards are 'Map world' standard class, which are allowed for use in the world. +

Seems that you can use only 11 channels
