Upgrading RAM for the name of the model: SVF15212, model number: SVF152C1WW

Hello

Recently, I bought a Sony Vaio SVF15212 (SVF152C1WW model number) in India.

It came with 2 GB of RAM preinstalled DDR3 (DDR3 PC3-12800(800MHz) 1x2Go).

It has 2 memory slots, you are free to upgrade.

I was told from Sony's Web site, we can improve up to 8GB RAM.

I bought the Rams of Strontium and Simmtronics 4 GB DDR3 RAM PC3-12800 but when I installed these Rams in second slot RAM (1x2Go and 1x4Go) the laptop won't turn on. But if the Rams individually 4 GB then the laptop starts normally. So I returned these Rams.

So what is the best idea that you can give me... I need to remove 2GB DDR3 RAM preinstalled and use one of the other Rams of 4 GB or 8 GB? (i.e. only a bar than a single stick of 8 GB or 4 GB).

I need more memory RAM that I use many virtual machines. I read somewhere that they installed 8 GB of RAM in the computer laptop sony vaio (not sure of exact model) with 2 GB pre-installed so that they use 10GB of RAM...

Is this possible? If so I'm happy that I can keep original key of 2 GB and you can buy 8GB new stick so that my RAM memory would be 10 GB. WOW!... even thought is amazing...

If someone help me (guide me) which is better than I do...?

Thank you and best regards,

SRI.

Thanks... will check and update.

  • Upgrading RAM for the installation of 64-bit guest OS on 32-bit host OS

    Hi all

I am a total newbie to VMWare and I have a curious question.  Currently, I have an Intel Core i7 920 PC running on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit with 3 GB of RAM DDR3 triple channel. I just installed VMWare Workstation version 7 on this PC.

Now, I understand that Win7 32-bit build does a maximum of 3.4 GB RAM logically and not beyond. My intention here is to move the RAM to 9 GB, and then install the version 9.04 of Ubuntu 64-bit on VMWare with 6 GB of RAM reserved for the Ubuntu. My question then became: the guest OS (Ubuntu) would be able to use the 6 GB of RAM that I intend to allocate to it from the host OS (Win7), does that up to 3.4 G memory?

I want to thank everyone in advance for your help.

    Best regards

    Hello Peter,.

Unfortunately, you will need to have a 64-bit OS host to do what you want. The guest operating system will not be able to use memory that is presented to it through the host. Is there a particular reason that you have installed Windows 7 32 bit instead of 64-bit?

  • Upgrading RAM for the Pavilion N011AX

I want to improve my 8 GB RAM. With the one that came with the laptop, the total should be 12 GB. (I checked, there are 2 slots for RAM in this laptop)

My question is, this laptop will accept 4 GB + 8 GB of RAM? Adding RAM is

    Samsung 8 GB DDR3L 1600 PC3L - 12800S 1.35v

This laptop motherboard is HP 216 (with chipset A55/A60M FCH).

    Thanks in advance.

You don't mention the name of the full model (Pavilion 15 / Pavilion 14).
Anyway, the two would support up to 12 GB (8 GB + 4 GB) with the configuration that you mentioned.

You can go ahead with the purchase.

I have to mention that adding another 4 GB with the same config would give you the advantage of boost dual-channel.

  • Upgrading RAM for the ancient system XPS R450

This has probably been asked and answered before, but I'm having a hard time finding all the information I need in one place.

Through my church, I volunteer teach computer skills and doing my best to upgrade the equipment for people who cannot afford a new system.

    Here's what I'm faced with:

    Dell Dimension XPS R450

    WIN XP Pro version 2002

    IIP/448 MHz

    384 MB OF RAM

15.7 hard drive NTFS of G

I want to update their RAM wherever possible, but continue to see conflicting views on how high I can go.

In addition, according to my research, I conclude this must SDRAM - i.e. cannot use the DDR I have sitting around - and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the DIMM form factor required match sticks?  Don't have not cracked the box still - does anyone know how many slots I could watch?

Bottom line - what is the absolute MAX RAM?

I know than most - including me - would say trash box and buy something of the modern era.  But they are very poor people who are lucky to have a PC at all, and that's what I have to work with.

All the tips are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Upgrading RAM for the Pavilion P6650z

I had an analysis of the system of crucial.com who said that I have 4 slots for RAM. 2 are empty; 2 have sticks of 2 concerts each - so I currently have 4 gigs. The results of the analyses say that my max is 8 GB. FWIW, there is a Pavilion P6650z, under Windows 7 Home Premium.

I wonder - then - I buy a single 4 GB stick and insert it into one of these 2 empty slots? Or is there a maximum of 2 GB per slot (in which case, I have to buy 2 sticks of 2 GB each, to the max of 8 GB RAM)?

I tried to call customer support HP (sic), but I was bounced from one Department to another because this computer is no longer under warranty, and finally when to transfer me to a person as well, I just got cut. So hopefully someone here can help me out.

  • Upgrading RAM for the Qosmio F60-111

    Hello

This is my first thread here

I intend to improve my ram 6 GB to 8 GB of DDR3 memory
intalled ram are currently 2 sticks of DDR3 1066 Mhz 4 GB and 2 GB
I couldn't find a key 4 GB 1066 Mhz on the local market; available only 1333 mhz.

If I have installed DDR3 1333 mhz 4GB stick with the original 4 GB of DDR3 1066 mhz, my laptop works perfectly?

Another issue is my laptop motherboard can support frequency 1333 mhz ram?

    my laptop is Qosmio F60-111

    Hello

The FSB seems to be limited to 1066 Mhz.
So even if you want to use the faster memory modules (i.e. 1333 Mhz), the speed could be clocked up to 1066 Mhz.

So, of course, you can use the 1333 Mhz modules.

It would be also possible to mix modules: 1066 Mhz and 1333 Mhz

  • How do you know the model number for my iPod Touch?

I need to find the model number for my iPod Touch - this is not about documentation or on the device itself.

I need to find it to buy a protector screen for her.

The screen protects tend to be sold by the name of generation, no model in my experience.

Protections that correspond to the 5th generation will adapt the 6th gen (and iPhone 5 screen covers are so because they are the same dimensions)

The 4th generation iPod is smaller than the 5th or 6th gen.

Having said that, the settings, General, about will give you your model number

It can also be printed on the back of your device, but the print is teeny tiney and almost the same color as your case (I need loop a jeweler to see mine)

  • Upgrading RAM on the Qosmio X 505

I don't know what's going on but I have a Toshiba Qosmio x 505 I'm a little confused on the amount of RAM my PC and it's his lwo I would buy more, I bought mine from Newegg almost a year with the backlit keyboard, to my knowledge, I thought that my computer has 6 GB of ram and it runs games big but the other day while running dxdiag I was shocked to see that I have 4 GB of ram... (4096MB to be exact, it is more than 4 GB, but if it's 6GB so where is the other 1.9 GB of RAM at?)

Recently, I did a reinstall of windows and wipe the entire computer, it would affect my bios for ram at all? I swear I had 6 GB of ram, but maybe I was wrong, in any case if it is after that that someone provide me a link to buy the 8 GB of ram for the qosmio? Thank you! I'd love to update the full agreement.

    Hi mate

The value of the RAM can be checked in the BIOS!
Please check in the BIOS what RAM is recognized.

In addition, the graphics card shares a part of main RAM in order to get better performance all in game.
The main value of RAM is the part that would be shared by the graphics chip is high.

So if the laptop was equipped with 6 GB of RAM (hmm, in that case it should be a 4GB and 2 GB RAM module installed) then some of this RAM could be used by GPU.

By the way; 4 GB of RAM or 6 GB of RAM are more than enough to get good performance... so in my opinion RAM upgrade is not necessary

  • Maximum RAM for the R31

Can someone tell me what is the maximum RAM for the R31

    Welcome to the forum!

Could you please send the model number of 7 characters of your R31?

Theoretically, 1 GB should be maximally to P3M units, but some Celeron machines have a slot already filled, that is why I ask the model number.

Good luck and let us know.

  • Satellite Pro A300D - what is the model number for the keyboard?

My husband managed to dislodge a key on my keyboard CAP and broke the clip white scissors that holds up on... (don't ask me how)

He spoke of the authorized service center here in Norway and they sent us replacement scissors tongs (actually they sent an old non-functional keyboard), but the clips are of a different design to those on my laptop.

I was wondering if anyone has an idea of the model/serial number of the keyboard used in the Satellite Pro A300D-151 (PSAK9E) so I can get the correct replacement part.

I really don't want to have to replace the entire keyboard when it's just 1 scissor clips which is broken... the laptop is only 5 months old.

Here are some pictures of the scissors clamp in question and where it attaches to the keyboard (sorry for quality)

    Hello

Boyfriend sorry but it is not possible to exchange a few individual keys on a keyboard, so in this case, you must replace the full keyboard. But normally, it shouldn't be so difficult.
Either you exchange the keyboard yourself or you sent the laptop to the authorized service provider.

The model number for the keyboard is not known to me but contact your ASP! They can order all the parts of Toshiba and they should know the right part number.

    Good bye

  • Is there an API that returns the model number or any other identifier for a module installed, I can use to identify the characteristics of this module?

    For example, I'll call you

    DaqSystem.Local.GetPhysicalChannels (PhysicalChannelTypes.AI, PhysicalChannelAccess.External)

For a list of connected devices.  The data in the table back looks like this:

    cDAQ1Mod4/ai0 (etc.)

It tells me that I have a CompactDAQ chassis, which is good, and an analog module in the slot Module4.  What I need to know is not just that there is an analog module in the slot to #4, but also of its ability (voltage, temperature, voltage, etc.) so that I can use the correct DAQmx task for this type of module.  All this has to be discovered during execution.

Otherwise, I'll have to provide a configuration utility when the user program needs to determine which module is plugged that slot - and will it change by moving it to another location, you must enter these details again.  I want to avoid this by making the material more discoverable as possible.

I can remember an API - and that is my hope.

    * beep *.

    Hello

I could understand the syntax for you. It's here.

    Device blah = DaqSystem.Local.LoadDevice ("cDAQ1");
foreach (String dev in bla. ChassisModuleDeviceNames)
    {
    Label1. Text += "\n" + DaqSystem.Local.LoadDevice (dev). ProductType;
    }

This displays the model number of all modules of the cDAQ in the chassi. I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • customization error "Sysprep is not installed on the server of virtual center for the model you have selected.

    Hi all

Need your help with customization of the script here is the steps I've done so far

1.I have created a virtual machine with Windows XP Professional as the operating system installed VMware Tools / VMware view agent then I added the virtual machine to the domain and created a template called (winXPtemp)

    2. According to article http://www.VMware.com/support/VC/doc/c12prepcustomize.html#1030366 I downloaded the Q257813_w2k_spl_x86_en.exe and the same extract. I force my VC server find the path as mentioned in article

C:\ [VirtualCenter_installation_directory]\resources\windows\sysprep\1.1 so copied the files extracted to the location C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VirtualCenter Server\resources\windows

3 then I copied and extracted the file \support\tools\deploy.cab on the windows 2003 CD and copied the sysprep files extracted to the following location on the VC Server

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep\xp

    4. After you have done that, I've created a script under customization script called "testsript".

5 Note until now I have not created a pool of resources as requires it the deployment of only 4 VM on an ESX Server with script customization. The data store for the virtual machine is a 100 GB LUN from a 2050 of FAS of NetApp iSCSI

    6. now when I create an automatic pool when I select the script that I created in step 4, and then click then it gives me an error "Sysprep is not installed on the server of virtual center for the model you have selected. Sysprep on the server installation.

    Troubleshooting done by me:

I have readded the VC Server Manager to view but it force worked

Thanks in advance for your help

    Kind regards

If I remember correctly the location for XP should go to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep\xp

For XP SP2 Sysprep files can be downloaded from the Microsoft site and are called

    Windows XP SP2 deployment tools

The article you linked was VirtualCenter 1.x. Since you have given a version number of VirtualCenter I assumed it was 2.x or later.
