Upgrading the video graphics card - HPE-180 t

I need to upgrade the video card in my HP Elite HPE-180 t. My PC came with ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card and the standard power 460 watt. I intend to switch to NVIDIA GTX 650 it, model 2 GB. I do a lot of editing video and need a video card that has "cuda" processors on the video card.

My questions are this card with my work computer at will (1) and will (2) I also need to update the power? If food needs to be replaced what brand and size of power supply should I buy?

Most GTX 650 it require a 450 Watt or greater power supply with PCIe auxiliary power connector. You may or may not need to provide a new power. Please review the Corair CX500, CX500M, CX600, or CX600M your power supply needs.

  • Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory?

Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory? If that's true then how much resolution a 2 GB card can support? I mean on what map I'll be able to run a game like 'NFS RUN' on a resolution higher, if I have 2 cards with the same specifications but difference is 1 GB and 2 GB, I don't speak of GDDR3 128 bit NVDI GT 440. ?

Resolution is dependent on the GPU, and not on the installed memory. The memory will help the screen refresh more quickly, and video help in smoother race.

    According to the specs here:

    http://www.GeForce.com/hardware/desktop-GPUs/GeForce-gt-440-channel/specifications

You should be able to get a maximum digital resolution of 2560 x 1600 and an analog-resolution 2048 x 1536 (VGA). This assumes of course that your monitor will be very high. The highest card ira is limited by the capabilities of the monitor also.

Thus, the memory card more than video, that you, smooth graphics should work, but it will have no effect on the resolution.

  • The video graphics card upgrade

I have a HPE-112y.  My son wants to go graphical treatment to NVIDIA GTX 680 graphics card.   I know I have to improve the supply, but the current system will be able to handle it.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-112y. The 680 GTX graphics card should fit and work in your system, but you want to measure the space along the PCIe x 16 slot to make sure. You must also ensure that the PCIe x 1 adjacent to the beach 16 x slot is empty. The cards GTX 680 I watched, require a power minimum system nominal 550 watts or greater and an amp 38 note on the 12 volt rail. Corsair CX600 is highly recommended and known to adapt to most HP consumer computer cases.

  • Can satellite M40-231 - I upgrade the GPU (graphics card)?

    Hi all

My Satellite M40-231 has an ATI Mobility Radeon X 600 SE and I would like to upgrade to deal with the demands of today's games, but also a new HARD drive, but the latter, I think that I can go as far as the 120 GB HARD drive.

    SUGESTIONS are welcome.

    TKS

Sorry, buddy, but this is not possible!
There are several discussions about upgrading the GPU on mobile phones and all the threads said the same thing that's not possible.

The point is that most graphic cards chips are outside the motherboard and cannot be deleted.
You must understand that technology for portable computers is not the same thing as the technology of desktop PCs and more upgrades are not possible.

Which could be upgraded are the memory modules and HARD drive.

    See you soon

  • Dell PowerEdge T110 II add on the video graphics card that works

    The system configuration:
    Dell PowerEdge T110 II
    BIOS 2.8.0
    RAM 2x8GB

For many reasons (for example feeding bus PCI), it is difficult to install a Dell PowerEdge T110 II graphics card.  The ATI Radeon HD 5450 is a good choice for the Dell PowerEdge T110 II because if its (approximately 10W) low energy consumption.

After trying several HD 5450 (listed below), a graphics card that works is a "VisionTek Radeon HD 5450 - graphics card - Radeon HD 5450 - 2 GB memory DDR3 - PCI Express 2.1 x 16'.

Edit: Thanks to paikat for the following references, (see his assignment for the links, where to buy)...
    VisionTek manufacturer: 900356

This card works when the monitor is connected to the VGA/D-SUB/DB15 connector. I wasn't looking to connect to HDMI or DVI connectors.

After you install this graphics card, passed the BIOS Setup:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: enabled

    by saying:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: Standard

and allowed to move from "Standard" to "Distributed" so it now says:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: distributed

Note: Install the card with the monitor connected to the integrated video port / edge, change the BIOS to Distributed settings, restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the Discrete / distributed / video port to Add on.

I have read this thread and seen the suggestion of VisionTek, it also works with the card mother E3-1230V2?

My guess is the Dell PowerEdge T110 II uses the same motherboard for various configurations of CPU, but this is only a guess.

    SR2002
Also, are there better options eventually with the support of 12 DDR5 and directx?

None that I know, but I've only tried a few cards. Please let us know if you find cards better than the VisionTek 900356

    SR2002
I saw a thread suggesting ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5, someone at - he of the inputs on this card?

I tried a GeForce GT 610 2 GB and it did not work.  Check the use of the GTX650-E-2GD5 (DPT) power and make sure that it is less than 25 watts (see below)

    Quick notes:

    1. the location of PCIe x 16 is actually a "full-size x 8 slot" (also known as an x 16 slot / x 8) and the video card needs to work in this type of accommodation.

    2. video card power (TDP) is a limiting factor. Technical guide Dell says "the system supports a maximum power of 25 W for all four cards PCIe.»  and said Dell owner's manual "ATTENTION: to ensure correct cooling, not more than two cards of four extension may have more than 15 W power consumption (maximum 25 W each), not to mention the integrated storage controller card."

3 install the card with the monitor connected to the integrated video port / edge, change the built-in BIOS devices > on-board video controller 'Activated' / 'Standard' to 'Distributed', restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the Discrete / distributed / video port to Add on.

  • Need to upgrade the m15x graphics cards

Hi all, I have an old Alienware M15x i7 Q840 (1.86 Ghz) with 8 GB of RAM. I no longer play video games and just use the PC for movies and for the work. (I am a business analyst and I work with very large spreadsheets / data tables / VB / SQL etc.)

I just got a new monitor to do work from home a little easier as it is ideal for multi-tasking and has a very high resolution. (34-inch Dell UltraSharp U3415W curved LED.) Problem is that the graphics card on this machine *. (NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M) I have two questions: 1. is there a graphics card I could throw out there that would allow me to get the full resolution of my monitor (3440 x 1440) and how it would be difficult to install? I'm pretty handy and exchanged coins out before but my experience, it is quite limited when it comes to portable computers).

2nd - which is another option if I can find a good deal, it is: are there any sites or companies can I pay Custom build a PC Tower for me? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, and as I said, I do not play video games... but I am what you call an "advanced user" because of the large data I work with... and would like to get a solid Setup for home use. I wanted to build my own time is no longer available to do yet so thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone had any suggestions for me.

Side Notes: I had a very good deal on a Samsung SSD 256Go 850 PRO (also have a 4 GB Seagate quick disk Portable HARD drive that I use for all my storage)

Appreciate any input or help thrown my way about these 2 questions! Thank you!

People by Clevo/Dell versions is the vBIOS on the card must be either Dell Clevo. If you get one from MSI, it won't work. MXM is just the form factor, and most of the 7970ms are in MXM.

Try changing the cables, if they are of the same type.

I think that the problem is a damaged cable.

  • Upgrade the video card in Pavilion HPE 380t

    Hello

I want to upgrade the video card in my HPE 380 t, currently it has geforce gtx 260, I want to install a geforce gtx 560 ti or 570.

I have 2 problems with the viability of this. 1. space. and 2. Food. Has anyone successfully completed a similar upgrade on this system?

Plug current sys is the following.

    • Intel Core i7 - 930 quad-core [2.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 + 8 MB of cache N3 shared]
    • 12GB DDR3 - 1066 MHz SDRAM [6 DIMMS]
    • 1 TB hard drive 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s of 750Go
    • 1.8 GB NVIDIA Geforce GTX 260 [2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters]

    power of 460 wt

About the food, the psu calculator gives me the following recommendations

I need my current configuration 529W!

    with a gtx 560 ti , I need 513

    with a gtx 570, I need 577W

    This raises a few questions:

    1. How can my system running on a 460wt power if the power supply calculator recommends 529w (nvidia reccomends a PSU 500w for the gtx 260 which is installed on my machine?)

    2. how the song gtx 560 ti could possibly require less energy than my current gtx 260?

    3. could I move to one of these cards without replacing the power supply? (I'd be willing to lose the dvd/rw drive, this falls 30w)

    4. what someone has updated the PSU in a HPE 380 t? Looks like there is a little extra space, but not much?

About the video card itself, I am concerned about the space, I looked inside of the case, there is a decent amount of clearance around the gtx 260, but I'd love to hear from someone who has tried to replace this card.

    Specifications for standard cards are:

    gtx 260 courses:

height: 4,376 inches, length: 10.5 inches, width: double slot

    recommended psu 500w

    GTX 560 ti

height: 4,376 inches, length: 9 inches, width: double slot

    recommended psu 500w

    GTX 560 ti super clocked

height: 9.4 inches, length: 11.8 inches, width: double slot

    GTX 570

height: 4,376 inches, length: 10.5 inches, width: double slot

    recommended psu 550w

bang for buck the 560 ti superclocked is the best deal, unfortunately they are also the most cumbersome...

    All advice appreciated!

    Hello

The difference will be the distance between the power supply and the optical bays can be annoying.  Open your PC and do some measure and see if a thumb causes less issues.  Don't forget the extra cable lengths.

Tip: When you install the new power supply, remove the front cover, lock the optical drive and slide if forward to facilitate the installation of the power supply. Do the PSU upgrade before you get your PC stable before installing new video card.

These "how-to" HP articles should be useful.

The OCZ has a bus verses double 12 volts the Corsair with a rail.  There is always a debate about who is best. Both have advantages and disadvantages.  I prefer implementing the only bus.  The really big PSUS, all seem to have several buses. The material of the size of the bus which had to bear the whole of the amperage on a bus would be rather substantial with very large power supplies and there are other reasons.

  • Upgrade the video card on Satellite X 200-20 g

    Hello everyone

I'll find a way to have my 8700M GT updated on my X 200 laptop.
I paid for it more than 2000 and I paid for 2 years warranty.
A few months later, I discovered that some of the new Toshiba are equipped with 9700 m GTS!

I know that the X 200-20 G is having a mxm graphics card which is removable to be upgraded (not being is not part of the motherboard).

I couldn't find anywhere in the Toshiba site, where I can ask to buy a new graphics card, or if I can send my laptop and ask for an upgrade price.
I suppose someone who has paid a sum of money for Toshiba can be listened to, or get a special offer to swap its model to the newest one after even not a year of use.

I really want to upgrade the video card, and I don't really know where to find advice or information about it, other than on the side of Toshiba.

Thanks to everyone or admin, to let me know how I should do, or process.

    Kind regards
    Chris

  • Upgrade the video card

I have a HP Pavilion h9-1187 windows 64 - bit pc with nvidia GeForce GT 530 by default.  I need to upgrade the video card, but this motherboard has only one of pci express 16 3.0 slot.  Almost all decent video cards require two slots.  I guess that most cards except those in the crossfire, two cards together configuration, must the two slots.  Most of the time, I guess the seller asking two slots due to the space.  Remove the CAP from my pc and possibly void the warranty, can someone tell me what video card width this pc may take.   I have the motherboard COMPANY PEGATRON, the default value.  If you care to recommend a video card decent all 250-300us about feel free.  Thank you. Apologies, but as a newbie I also posted this in the hardware section of the bureau of the forum as well.  I'll delete the entry that is in the wrong part of the forum.

When a card is listed as having "two slots", this means only that he would hold the PCIe x 16 location and regardless of the slot is adjacent. It does not require a connection to more than the PCIe x 16 slot. Looking at the photo below, the long black slit under the "IPMMB-FM" is the PCIe x 16 graphics card slot. "The slot short slot needs to be empty, then the '2 locations' map can adapt it without connection to this.

Almost any card graphics PCIe 2.0, 2.1 or 3.0 will work on your computer. Please look at these PCIe x 16 graphics cards for a selection in your price range. Please see Guide of Dave_G of a discrete video card selection of useful information on the subject.

You need to upgrade PC's POWER supply at least a 400 watt unit.

Or video cards will not work with a 250 Watt power supply installed in your computer.

The minimum requirement of the system for the HD 4650 is 350 Watts and the card HD 5550 requires 300 Watts.

    Hello

It is not possible to upgrade the video card in your laptop, as it is physically soldered to the motherboard and for all practical purposes, is not a replaceable component.

  • UPGRADING THE VIDEO CARD

I have a HP p6367c and I'm looking into upgrading the graphics card have first and finally the hard drive.  My first question is of course the graphics/video card.  Looking at my specs (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01961291) it is said that it supports DDR3 2 cards working together.  Sounds decent until I look at what support the motherboard and it goes further in detail.  I have a PCI Express X 16 or PCI Express 3 x 1 slot slot.  Then he supported speeds of 1066 MHz PC3-8500 or PC3 6400 800 MHz video cards.

Now, I admit that I am not a master I.T..  I'm a professional video editor wishing to upgrade the graphics card in my PC to its full potential when adding to an HDMI output if necessary.  Watch sites like TIGER DIRECT, it seems that the best suited cards seems to be (G) DDR3 2 GB PCI Express 3.0, but unfortunately they are all x 16 location.  Can I go out with him on my PC?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello:

What say the specs, it's that you can use the integrated graphics card (Intel) or an add-in on the map.

You cannot run them simultaneously.  Add it on the video card will disable the integrated Intel graphics card.

You should be able to use any PCIe x 16 2.0, 2.1 (I don't know about 3.0 on this old model) video card of your choice, as long as the supply of power of the card needs are 300W, and it doesn't have a PCIe 6-pin supplementary power connector.

Can I upgrade the video card on HP TOUCHSMART IQ525?  At the moment it has a Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family graphics on it.

Ah, thanks for the correction.  But the answer, unfortunately, is still probably no. However, you can check yourself by visiting the HP web site, go to the support section and drivers, then let it detect your computer.  Which will lead you to a specific page to your PC exact and will have manuals and other technical specifications for you.
