  BTW, just for later use, you should not bother with grapple to the general screenshots. CMD + SHIFT + 3 capture the entire screen, cmd-shift-4 and drag to capture a part of it. Here are a few other shortcuts (article is 10.8 but they are the same in 10.9)

  Printer HP DeskJet 6840 worked very well under Windows 7 but now on Windows 8, in some cases, parts of the first character in line are reported missing and occasionally more characters missing in some areas.  In some cases, the upper part of the character is absent, and in some cases, the last character online missing all or part of itself.  The printer is connected to my local network via a cable (not for wireless).

  The hardware test page prints fine (says there is ink and the jets are clean), but the Test Page from printer Windows and other programs (Word, Excel, etc.) have this injury problem.  When you print to my printer HP OfficeJet 6700 (from the same computer), I can print correctly.  The 6700 is connected wireless.

  I downloaded, removed, reinstalled the latest driver HP and all Windows updates are installed.  I am willing to sell the printer on eBay and buy something else, but if someone on this forum could offer suggestions.

  Hi rcowen, sorry to hear you have s question to get your printer to work correctly with windows 8.   I did some research and I noticed that this model of printer is not supported with Windows 8.  Here is a document that shows the minimum requirements. http://goo.GL/IMWBER

  What you can try to do is to use the generic Windows 8 printer driver.  If you go to add a printer option in windows 8 and select the 990c Deskjet printer driver or the Deskjet 550 c printer driver and then connect your printer, this may solve your problem.  I can't guarantee that it works, but I had it turn out to be successful for me in the past.

  Another option, because you have an HP printer, you may well qualify for the "Trade In Trade Up" program that offers HP.  Everything you need to call HP at 1-800-474-6836 and ask about this option.  You will be asked your serial number located on the back of your printer on a sticker that is located close to a bar code.

Its really annoying I can't do anything because most of the sites have login at the top of the screen and I can't connect to anything.

  This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.

  Here's a breakdown; (applied to the master)

  1. Set your browser to your background color fill (I read it as Hex # f4f5f0)
  2. Go to the drop down filling and white fixed color, opacity 100%, solid.
  3. Line color fixed to zero size "0"
  4. Go to the drop-down list of the effects, select shadow and check the enable box.
  5. Set a medium gray color.
  6. Set opacity to 50%
  7. The blur value 12.
  8. Set the Angle to 90.
  9. Set the Distance to 4.

  Note: there is no import of Photoshop files.

  On the table, there are 54 index:

  3 unique indexes are the primary key and 2 another witch number field contains unique identifiers for rows in other systems. The domain index is an index of Oracle text on a couple of fields. There are 3 indices of function based on a high on a field and 1 on an individual function. This last clue has caused the problem. Apparently, on the creation, this function is deterministic, but when rolling a new version of the software. It became a non-deterministic function. When I delete the index, my original index on upper (sre_e_mail) has been created successfully! Now, I did the deterministic function again and could recreate the function without problem.

  A few notes:

  -Place the lines of code out of the cfdocument tag cfparam.

  Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).

  If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.

  You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.
