Uprgade Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 Enterprise

I am currently trying to find the way the most effective of the upgrade to Windows 7 Pro to Windows 7 Enterprise.

I have all the correct licenses and keys and agreements and what not for the company, but I have a VERY large number of machines that I need to do it on. I know that only one option is a clean install. This is not practical due to constraints of time, but also questions of maintenance of data and parameters.

Another option that I've found is all change professional in the Publisher of the registry and then do a repair install with an ERD of company. I've tested this and it did work, preserving the data and settings. But it still took 4 + hours. I hope that there is a way to cut this time down.

I also saw in my travels through google a "Windows Anytime Upgrade". My questions about this are then, it works to put on professional level of company? How much time would it take time wise (if possible)? And if it keeps the data on the computer?

Or are there other options I know?

And finally, if Windows Anytime Upgrade does not work for this, and there is no way to reduce the duration of the repair facility, is that something I could write a script to do all of this for me?

Thank you!

    Hello

Enterprise is for Volume licenses (and companies not to use unique and private.)

    https://blogs.Windows.com/ITPro/2009/08/06/Windows-7-Enterprise-Edition-understanding-software-assurancevolume-licensing/

Volume Licensing is the most affordable to upgrade your existing PC to Windows 7. If your PC is not already covered by Software Assurance, you can purchase licenses to upgrade thanks to a Volume Licensing program to access Windows 7 Enterprise.

To use a Windows 7 upgrade version, you must have a qualification system of operating Windows installed, such as Windows XP or Windows Vista (Windows 7 Enterprise is not a qualification o/s).  You must return your copy of Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade (Microsoft North American Retail product refund Guidelines) and then buy an edition "Full Version" of Windows 7 and perform a "clean installation."

  • Install Windows 7 Enterprise on Veriton x4640g

We have recently acquired 30 x Veriton x4640g that comes preloaded with Windows 7 Professional. I tried to install the version of Windows 7 Enterprise and continues to freeze on the language selection / time zone all day.

Although there is nothing wrong with Windows 7 Professional, it is a company policy to install only Enterprise Editions of Windows on all of our systems due to the volume of licenses and standardize the whole environment.

I changed the BIOS to UEFI Legacy mode, tried to install from a DVD and USB, I even used to different brands of DVD and USB but the problem persists.

My next step is to upgrade the BIOS to see if that helps, a start-up network also suggested colleague via the Windows Deployment Services, I doubt that will solve the problem, but I'm grabbing at straws here any suggestions.

So after a lot of noise I just got an e-mail from my IOC that acer will send someone during an update on all the machines we bought recently and which should solve this problem. They could have just sent me the tool and I could have done myself, or maybe they don't want to share with us.

What is the certificate of authenticity for Windows?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-the-Windows-certificate-of-authenticity

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

    ------------------------------------

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

If the factory recovery partition is not functional, but the COA sticker is there with the appropriate version and edition of Windows 7, you can try to download and then reinstall Windows 7:

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? A few days ago (after battling a virus naughty (and eventually won), my Windows 7 Enterprise tells me now that I am the victim of counterfeit software, my desktop background is black, a message at the bottom right says "Windows 7, Build7601, this copy of windows is not genuine" I am also square box pop ups reminding me this fact regularly.)

I tried to re entry and re activate my legitimate copy of windows nothing helped.

My key is legitimate, I've been through the online help of regular MS who have told me that they have validated the serial key, but can't help me because it's a company that issued my key for me.

Can a MS teach, please advise how I can re entry and re activate my windows, to return to normal as soon as possible.

    Thank you very much.

If an organization exceeds the MAK activation limit, then its TI

Unfortunately, you can not upgrade to Windows 7 Enterprise edition to another edition of Windows 7. If you are willing to invest in a license of Windows 7 Professional Retail, you can use the following method it downgrade to this edition while preserving your files staff, settings, and applications to install.

I'll try to install using drivers designed for Vista x 86 (which I am curently downloading) - but any suggestion expertise in the meantime?

    To fix these:

    (1) download the Toshiba page display driver - I used the pkg of display-en-20080407-162339 and it works fine (I'm on windows 7 64 bit)

    (2) the "mass storage controller" is the controller of the memory flash card - drivers are again on the Toshiba site

    (3) the controller memory PCI driver you will need to download on the Intel site - you want to IATA89ENU.exe you will find in the page of Intel (matrix) Storage Manager.

    (4) this is the bluetooth controller, drivers are once again on the Toshiba page.

  • T500 with Windows 7 Enterprise (x 64) Ricoh drive/SD card randomly disappears

I got a T500 (2082-5XU) running Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit) with 4 GB of RAM. I have been using a 8 GB SDHC card into the Reader/slot for card SD Ricoh as a ReadyBoost drive.

Recently, I noticed that the SDHC card will disappear at random from the list of devices with removable storage. In some cases when this happens if I physically eject the SDHC card and plug it in again, the storage reappears. In many cases, I can delete and add the SDHC card repeatedly and it will never be displayed.

I am unable to make head or tail of what could be the cause. It does not seem serious if I'm coming from a cold start or return to hibernation. I do not use standby mode. I even went up to remove the device driver package and install again. As far as I know, the latest version for this is at http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-73713. That's what I have currently installed. I installed it like myself and I have tried to install it with the administrator account local system without any change in behavior.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it possible that this is a hardware problem? I don't remember if I encountered a similar problem under Vista Business (32 bit) on this same system.

I tried a search, but found that none of the results seems to fit this particular situation. But, if anyone knows another topic where this problem has been reported, I would be happy to chime in there, too.

    Thanks in advance.

At this point, I think that this SDHC card went bad. I have a compatible USB SDHC card reader and I can't even read this unit off.

Thanks for the suggestion to try another SD card. I'm embarrassed to admit that it didn't even occur to me to try another SD card. Probably because I forgot I had an extra laying around.
