move Windows 8 Enterprise n to Windows 8 Pro

I currently have Windows 8 Enterprise N RTM installed on my PC at home (for work purposes). Now, I want to buy Windows 8 Pro for my personal use. Is it possible to go from Windows 8 Enterprise N to Windows 8 Pro without losing my settings/applications/etc?

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, he is not.  ANY victory 8 s must be installed clean.  If you configure a second partition, you can use the wizard for easy transfer to import SOME of your data.

I have to manually install the driver for Aspire ZC-102, updates when I move Windows 8 to 10?

I was struggling with this ACER for more than a year. I have do it I have back when it was still under warranty, 14 months ago. Now I've updated free online through Microsoft for Windows 10 back in early August. I had hoped that my mess was a stack of the operating system, but unfortunately, it's still a piece. However, there is no virus. I run Malwarebytes Pro full time with it has quarantined of PUPPIES as well as McAfee Anti Virus full time. I use cCleaner to keep cut up. I NEVER garguillo or browsed porn.
I've got max 16 GB of RAM. I have very few applications other than Office 2013.

Even if this thing was a room at the time where it was running Windows 8 and 8.1, so I want to try to make it work on Windows 10 without having to start over with a clean install. That's why I asked about the drivers.

your ZC-102 will not have a direct drivers updated from Acer support, which means you have to rely on Windows Update by itself the drivers or get them by yourself.

Let me give you 3 Tips:

    1) never use Registry cleaners Windows 8.x and above all, they are no longer needed

    (2) uninstall McAfee, he kills the performance of your machine, use the antivirus windows integrated, it is good and very light

    (3) If you require loading time fast on programs, think about an SSD upgrade

  • HP. Want to 700-239: how to move to Windows 10 Pro

I have two PCs. My office has windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 7 Pro Laptop. It only allowed me to upgrade Windows 10 and not Windows 10 Pro. Technically, I'm downgrading my OS. How to move to Windows 10 Pro? I think it's the right upgrade

    Thank you

Microsoft detects which version of Windows is installed, and will install the correct version.  If there Core remove the pulp is installed, it is the same for the Pro version.

I looked at the specs of your CV. Want 700-239, and it indicates that the kernel has been installed not Pro.

    Move windows between multiple monitors

You can easily extend your Windows desktop across multiple monitors. A display that spans two monitors or more significantly increases your screen area so that you can drag windows and program icons anywhere on the desk of theextended.

By default, when you connect another monitor, the image of your desktop appears on each monitor display. Before you can drag a window from one display to another, you must change your display setting toExtended. For more information, see Set up multiple monitors.

  • Why can't upgrade windows 7 Enterprise to windows 10 pro

Why can't spend enterpise windows 7 to windows 10 pro if I don't need company more?

because they are 2 different versions.  You must clean and re - open for the company to Pro.  Win 10 is also an upgrade to an existing operating system (and qualifying).  Win 7 Enterprise is not an eligible operating system

  • How can I move windows 7 (not OE), to another machine after upgrade to windows 10?

I have a machine that has Windows 7 Ultimate installed on it, as a clean install from a CD with a code.  I upgraded this Windows 10 machine and I want to spend the nec plus ultra 7 to another machine.  How to "Uninstall" or "Turn off" Windows 7 in the computer being upgraded so that I can activate it on another computer after a clean install?

If you upgrade Windows 7 Ultimate edition free update of Windows 10, you cannot move Windows 7 Ultimate edition to another machine because the free update used Windows 7 Ultimate edition as an eligible basic license.

Only if you have installed a full version of Windows 10 license would you be able to transfer the license of Windows 7 to a new computer.

Otherwise, you will need to purchase a new license of Windows 7.

  • How can I move Windows 7 on a disk with data on it?

I am running Windows 7 with 64 bit.

    My C: drive is a 223 GB SSD;

My E: drive is a 931 GB hard drive.

I want to leave Windows the SSD to the larger hard drive to free up the SSD for the exclusive use of my photo software.

I found the instructions on moving of Windows on a NEW drive, but not to move it to a drive with the data on it.

I can do this and if so, how?

Thank you for your suggestions, you can offer.

    Very respectfully,.

    Larry

You will not be able to move it to a drive with the data on it. You will need to save everything that is on the E: drive to an external hard disk, uninstall the SSD and reinstall the HARD disk as the default drive and then restore a backup image of the installation on the SSD hard disk.

  • Use OEM Windows 7 Pro in virtual computer; Enterprise of Windows 8.1 in the physical Machine

    Hello

I need some real tips on Windows license manager that I don't want to go against all Microsoft software license.

As a backdrop, I have the following:

-an OEM Windows 7 Pro that came with the purchase of a Dell PC

-a license in Volume Windows 8 with Software Assurance purchased by my company

I would like to know if I can install the copy of the OEM Windows 7 Pro in a virtual machine on the Dell PC, while having a Windows Installer on the physical PC/computer Dell 8.1. i.e. physical Machine Dell PC = Windows Enterprise 8.1; Virtual machine in the same Dell PC is Windows 7 Pro OEM.

I don't want to do a dual boot to install because it will be difficult to remove once my 3rd party applications fully supports Windows 8.1; and I also want to keep my PC as clean as possible. I also can't use one of the Open License of Windows 8 as a lower upgrade to Windows 7 as this installation will take another license to use.

I read from the windows 7 EULA that:

'Use with Virtualization Technologies. Rather than use the software directly on the licensed computer, you can install and use the software within the virtual (or emulated) only on the licensed computer system... »

I was wondering that the clause applies, but I don't know if the OEM Windows 7 Pro can be activated on a virtual machine because I don't have the OEM product key.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It's the same clause I was going to paste attesting that you can install the license OEM Windows 7 in a VM.

In addition, since you have Windows Enterprise 8.1, you can use the built in Hyper-v:

Windows 8 integrates into hypervisor called Hyper-V.

This requires that your processor supports the translation of the secondary addresses.

To see if your processor is supported:

Press the Windows key + X

    Click on programs and features

Click on turn Windows features on or off

See if you can check off Hyper-V and all its options of void

If this isn't the case, it does not support Hyper-v.

You can use alternatives such as Oracle VirtualBox or VMWare Player.

  • How can I move windows 7 to my new SSD?

I decided to change my hard disk SSD to improve performance. My windows license has already reached the limit, so I can't reinstall windows again and I don't want to go through all the each setting still or. Is there anyway that I can move windows 7 from my old hard drive to SSD?

As long as this is the same computer, you can always reinstall Windows 7 and reactivate by phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

You can clone the installation for the SSD, provided that the SSD is large enough to accommodate the installation to be cloned.

See http://www.ssdfreaks.com/content/664/how-to-clone-hdd-to-ssd-with-windows-7s-own-software or (easier) use a trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2012.

Note that, immediately after cloning, you must stop and unplug the original installation. The disc can be reconnected once the DSS started successfully.

Alternatively, you can use Easeus Todo Backup to move your plant to a SSD:

  • Windows 7 Pro to Windows 7 Enterprise

We would like to upgrade to Windows 7 Enterprise Windows 7 Pro to take advantage of the MultiLanguage pack.  Do have to do a clean install?  Not there at - it no upgrade path?

    Thanks to André and JW.

We are a volume license customer and recently purchased a license of Windows Pro with Software Assurance upgrade under contract Open Value.  We have Windows 7 Pro on our machines and want to get to Windows 7 Enterprise.  We are allowed to do, but we say that we have to do a clean install.  It doesn't look good for me.  We want to upgrade, is it possible?

Unfortunately, there is no other choice.

Custom installation is your only option.

Your best option is to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro or Windows 8 Enterprise Edition which takes in charge in place upgrades from Windows 7 to Windows 8.

  • Move windows in Windows 7

I have a new HP Pavilion p6240f I used for about a week.  I discovered that Windows 7 is a new feature which is really annoying.  When you minimize a window and drag it to the top or the side of the screen so you can watch another window, the window moving automatically 'fixed' on the edge of the desk and expands... usually a lot bigger.  I want to know how to disable this feature.  When I move windows autour, I want to stay where I put them, and if I want them more, I enlarge them myself.  (I usually hate it when my computer thinks he knows what I want better than I do and change stuff without asking me.)

    Thank you.

    Tom

Thanks for the info.  I didn't know what the function was called, so I couldn't do a search for it.  I didn't notice the part "shake".  I love how the minimized windows piling up under the IE icon, and when I move the cursor on the icon I get these small preview windows.  I'll play with it some more, but I have a feeling I'm going to turn it off.  I guess I'm just a guy a bit of gear.

I see there are a few other videos covering the other new features of Windows 7, so I'll be watching for those too.  I had XP on my old desk, and I'm getting used to 7 pretty quickly.  I like better than XP, and it's much, much better than Vista.  I have Vista on my laptop, and I will definitely be upgrading.  Win7 is much more intuative.  I have very little trouble to know where things are.

    Thanks again.

Or I just have to wait until the release of surface Windows with Pro?

No, you cannot update the software because the hardware is different. Surface with Windows RT has a mobile processor (ARM), whereas the Surface with Windows 8 Pro has an Intel processor (like most of the PC).
