  HI, thanks a lot. There seems to be no place on the web for RSS concerns, and since I use Thunderbird and Firefox, I thought I'd try here. Maybe someone can shed some light on what is happening?

  No, this isn't a problem with the browser, but with this server.

• Safari search/address bar of copy to URL problem

  This has been a problem for about a year, I think that, maybe more, even if I don't specifically remember.

  I often use search/address bar of Safari for searches on the internet, probably 90% of the time.  Sometimes, I want to share these search results with others.  The problem is, when I click in the address/search bar to select and copy the URL of the site, I visited, the URL is replaced with the search parameters that I had previously placed instead of the URL of the site that I actually visit.  It is not that this all the time, but very often.  Now that I'm trying to replicate, I can't, even though it took place just 20 minutes ago.  I was finally able to recreate by opening a new Safari window.  It is perhaps connected to tabs how do I open in the window?  Here is a screenshot.  Any ideas of what could be the cause?

  

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

• Vanity URL problem

  I tried to get my head around vanity URL and I have problems...

  I have a web relative root implemented that matches the prefix in the file configuration web.xml (using for example avi)

  prefix: avi

  Web root: / cs/avi

  I then use to rewrite all URLS that Apache / * / CS/avi / *.

  It all works very well. However, the URL throughout the site in the page content are then generated to study the prefix: ...com/cs/avi/etc

  How is it supposed to work? I want to be able to use vanity URLS for access and paths throughout the site without the prefix.

  I tried to use the /Site/? Add = somevalue & lookuppage = somevalue which I had some success with it, but I can't seem to make this work with satellite servers?

  Am I missing something?

  Just thought I'd follow on this case to someone else has the same problems. It turns out 404 errors ask errors etc. of wall due to many bugs with the 11.1.1.8.0 of output. After having patched the right to up to 6 Patch installation, all problems disappeared and vanity URL works correctly with satellite servers using the format:

  SS/Satellite? lookuppage = home & add = / cs/avi

• Button URL problem

  Hi, I noticed a problem with the buttons URL when I navigate to a page via a button. They launch the browser in app. However, if I slip on the next page compared to navigate via a button, they throw very well. If I navigate to a page via a button and move the page (not to finish a shot) they will launch the browser. I use the action button (goto next page).

• Animation Flash URL problem

  My site uses certain URL's long and ugly to access different documents, pictures, flash animations, etc.. For example:

  It is a valid url for a valid swf - I can download and play directly (should be on a line without spaces). However, if I use this url in the usual < object > and < embed > tag, it won't play in a web page (the Player loads, but it says "not loaded a movie"). If I move the file and change the tag to use a single file like "\flash\movie.swf" it plays properly.
  
  So, I know that the tag is correct, since it plays the movie with a simple url. I know that the swf file is valid because it can be played. I know that the ugly url is correct as it downloads the correct file.
  
  The only explanation I can think is that there is something in the ugly url that confuses the flash player. Sometimes these things work, then maybe a specific url character a problem (% sign maybe?).
  
  Anyone can shed light on this issue?

  Looks like you need to remove the header Content-Disposition :)

  I published an introduction to Captivate 3 in a .swf within a .htm file. I have problems with the opening of URL. When I click a click box, a URL should be opened in a new window, but nothing happens. This problem occurs in IE 7 and Firefox 2.0.0.6, in Windows XP.
  
  I noticed that this does not happen on my PC, but it does on other PCs. I had to configure my places for trust macromedia in order to play the .swf properly that I run the file to a local folder. I would like to know if the reading of the file online (from server) requires the same configuration change. If so, I there is no way to avoid this?

  I am new to Dreamweaver. I'm setting up a website and want to link a PNG with a Url. Dreamweaver keeps telling me that url is not in my files. How can I put it there? When I asked to register on my site that Dreamweaver would not allow him to be put into memory. I can list the url, but Dreamweaver asks you a file name. No matter what name I have a choice, he switched the url and assigns the name of file in both places.  at the present time, I resorted to a link with the words, but this isn't my preference.   Yet you defined your site in DW?  Without this critical step 1, DW cannot manage links & assets for you.  Site > new Site.  See screenshot.

  

  Your graphic editor (Photoshop or Fireworks), save the Image for the Web as jpg, png or gif file YourSiteName .  As mytaxsite said, you can create a subfolder for your images, but this is not mandatory.

  Back to DW.  Open your HTML page.  In the Insert panel > commune > click on the Image.

  Navigate to the image file and click OK.

  Save your page with Ctrl + S & Preview in browsers.

• Service Provider Hyperion URL problem

  Scenario: we have 2 separate physical servers, so their own APS running services, planning and pointing to their own SQL environments.
  Question: within smartview is is it possible to have planning applications for TWO_ separate servers added in the server nodes in a Hyperion URL of the Service provider?
  
  My guess is NOT because they do not share the same SQL circles? Please confirm!
  
  -On this test, I could not add the second or server applications using the first service provider Hyperion URL, unless I change the URL of the Service Provider Hyperion to point to the secondary server where planning applications. The error that has popped up was "your attempt to connect to the server not support planning fails."

  Hi DermottB,

  The SQL environment has little impact on the ability to register a server planning under a server node.

  APS is a Java web service that runs in the context of the server planning, thus sharing the servername of the URL part.

  Unfortunately, I don't think that Smart View is currently designed with the possibility of several different servers with different URLS APS planning.

  You could write some VBA to manipulate the URL of the APS for some leaves.

  I suggest a SR of opening and make an enhancement request.

  I needed to write the code like this because the button will open a different link according to an external variable that is passed into flash using a query string. I know that I should nominate different names of variables to the url request, but when I do that, I get an error in the browser, with the exception of only the first query url variable. I searched and searched for an answer correctly names url request variable to work right. I'm just stuck. Help, please!

  I actually just thought of it... I needed to name the variable name any, but also naming the same variable name 'navigateToURL'... Simple fix... :)

• URL problem with flash application

  Hey people,

  created a simple menu. Now, I have a flash application that has a hyperlink to a Web site. I run the HTML (shot in the SWF), now when I click on the button, that he won't jump on the hyperlink. So, it works in flash itself, it does not work in a projector, but it isn't when you pull the swf via the generated html flash. This I well need. I read everywhere that if you set security in flash via Control Panel to allow access of the locatoin of files (which I did), or add the Web site it crosses to the app (which I did too), it'll work.
