USB devices are detected, but I can't access any fles
Hello
Ive had a very weird problem. Everything was fine until this afternoon. I unplugged a usb (Sandisk blade) flash drive and when I put a new one in I couldn't access the files. He says drive D was there, but I couldn't access it and everything he told me to do, it was to format the drive. I tried the same thing with other readers and portable hard drive and it's the same thing. I tried these on other machines, and they work very well which seems to indicate a problem with my system. I had done a few updates for .net, but I uninstalled them I'm sure. They appear in Device Manager. Said of the USB storage device usb and HARD drive said it was something another beginning with I (device inditto or something. It escapes me at the moment. Something like Indento device or something. I tried to uninstall only for devices to be taken back, with their correct names, and he says that the facility is very well, but still I can't access it. When I click on them. A couple of times I tried to let the readers and they seemed fully functional, but once I got out them again the problem starts again. I tried to reassign the drive, turning letters works, plug in the usb key and auxiliary ports and now I am at my wits end. If someone out there can help, I would be very grateful. My specs:
XP SP3
Dell Dimension DXPO51
2,81 Ghz
2gig RAM
kind rgds

I had this problem under linux. I realized there was no alias set. Where it says welcome and then has a drop down box, you should make sure that something is selected. If you can not select anything, you need to add an alias. If this isn't your problem, I don't know what would be the solution.

My USB devices are not recognized, but they have a power
My USB devices are not recognized, the only ones to be recognized are my mouse and keyboard. Each device is powered (motherboard works fine), but Windows 7 isn't their read (although sometimes I'll get a code 43). I have the latest chipset.
I tried right click and uninstall each device and rebooted the computer. Nothing has fixed this.
My external hard drive, ipod and other devices that involve the transfer of data seem to ONLY get power and nothing else.
It is not material because all my devices work on my laptop. Also my motherboard works fine (it's the 2nd RMA) and it has been tested at the factory to make sure of him.
I would really appreciate help with this

Error "USB device not recognized" but nothing is plugged
Hi, this problem recently just started to happen, nowhere I can say. Whenever I turn on my computer or it wake up from hibernation, a message from the task bar appears saying "USB device not recognized". However, there is nothing plugged one of my USB ports. I have three USB ports available, and all are empty. I tested all three ports in something by plugging, and all three ports seem to work well. What can I do to get this message to stop appearing? Thanks in advance!

ProBook 4740 s will not feed if USB devices are connected
G ' Day, I have a ProBook s 4740 and after taking the laptop to the site, when I'm home and plugged things back, by pressing the power button would see it for a few seconds and then od light out. The LED above the power would have flashes once and then turns off. Needless to say, it would not start up.
After a lot of frustration, I found that by unplugging all (wired Ethernet and USB devices) and by pressing the power button it would start up and even when starting I could plug the devices and everything is OK.
I had to return to the site today and when I came back again, it wouldn't power up until I unplugged the USB devices. USB devices are external hard drives only, all running through a powered USB hub.
This configuration has worked without any problems for wells in the year I've had the ProBook.
This could be the cause?
Thank you.
The last update :-)
After downloading the BIOS update, I decided to wait until I had a break in things until I applied it. Then around one hour before, I saw the red exclamation mark on the HP Support Assistant in the taskbar. Open it, there was an update of the available BIOS, so I decided to let him do. At this point, no indication that it was the F.60 update.
I hate doing these updates that work at the machine code level where if things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong.
Well, everything went well. Updated the BIOS and restart the computer. I went back in to the support assistant and got the information on the computer, and he says that it is now the F.60 version. If she went from F.43 to F.60
I power it off, wait a minute, then restarted with everything plugged in and it worked correctly.
Thanks again for your help.

Hello
Since you said it worked very well recently, I'll try to do a system restore at this point in time.
See this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore?SignedIn=1
In addition, see the response of the Meghmala and follow the instructions listed there. I think that the three method might be the best of the bunch for you, but they have all the right steps.
