USB Pre drive stay connected.

When the Pre is connected to the computer in USB drive mode, the Player keeps connecting and disconnecting. This has happened on several computers. Has anyone else seen this or make me a defective pre?

Problem seems to be resolved. I was using the original cable that came with the Pre, but it seems that the cable had a problem. I went to the sprint store and they gave me another cable to try. My pre was connected about an hour now and has not been disconnected. Normally he would have cut about 15 times in the 1st 10 minutes.

On a Lenovo S10E with XP Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr. 090804-1435: Service Pack 3) I have three virtual disks assigned to the files on the C drive.  3 drive letters are D, E & F.  When I plug a USB key, it appears in the file Mgr as 'removable disk (d)', but when you open it you get the file I originally assigned to D.  When you remove the USB key, Mgr of files will no longer display a drive D, but the initial allocation of virtual drive is still active and functional.

If I plug in a USB CD/DVD drive instead of the flash player, it is correctly attributed the letter G.

In comparison, on an IBM Thinkpad Z61t, with similar virtual drives defined, when the USB is connected it is assigned letter H (after the edge G CD/DVD drive).  The Z61t IBM has the same level of Windows XP is installed.

On a Lenovo with Vista 6.0 T500 Thinkpad, the USB is also properly assigned, after all virtual disks.

But I think I installed all available updates, I wonder if there is a fix or an upgrade for the Lenovo Netbook is going to fix this problem?

With the USB drive connected, run Disk Management (start > run > diskmgmt.msc), click on the drive and change its drive letter.

  • I can't start Windows when my USB hard drive is connected

    My Book Essential

I just took a WD My Book Essential. I learned sooner go into the BIOS and tell the "USB Boot" as well as the Legacy USB option capable. But I can't get my system to boot to the desktop. I have to disconnect the drive "K" and once I'm on windows I can plug the hard 'K' and have no problem. WD isn't too big to provide assistance.

This is a replacement. I formatted my new book and disabled the USB boot. It was only yesterday evening that I discovered the Legacy USB and disabled as well, but I had no luck.

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate the help.

Try to connect my Asus Transformer Tf101 tablet to my laptop Windows 7 Home premium, but the driver USB MTP failed guard. I downloaded and tried the Asus USB MTP driver, who was able, as a DPW Universal USB driver, which didn't do too well. Installed Windows Media Player and update at 12, did not help. • WiFi connectivity weird when I plug in the USB Flash drive?

I found this WiFi connection problem a few days ago, when I plugged a USB Flash drive in "USB port right side' of my MacBook Pro.

Every time when USB , WiFi won't work - the connection is lost and can not connect to any hotspot even turn the WiFi market.

I found more weird, ONLY this brand and model key USB could be the abnormal Mac WiFi.

This problem will not happen to another USB port even I put the Flash drive in the left side, USB port, weird isn't?

Conclusion, this flash drive cannot be used with USB port on the RIGHT side, another USB port works fine. If WiFi don't work.

All other USB devices I've owned are working very well on the USB ports on the right or left side.

Could Apple support or any helps me to understand why this happen?

PS. I had the Apple's Diagnostics and received a message "no problem found".

PS #2. Right - same USB port side and next to the HDMI port on MacBook Pro 13 "model 2015" (snack for someone who confuse average left or right)

I have a drive external hard Iomega LDHD-UP that I want to connect to my Airport Extreme (running the 7.6.4)... version but I can't seem to do.)

Currently, the airport is set up as a bridge to my Verizon Fios router.  It all works very well.

  • Tracer USB Serial Driver for USB 2.0 need to connect... Help!

My old computer died and now my vinyl cutter does not connect to my new. I said needs 2.0 USB Serial Driver which he cannot find. Help!

It sounds as if you have an old vinyl plotter of a series and (b) interface has at one point bought a USB to serial adapter or cable.

If the above is not correct, what is the brand and model of your plotter?

If you can't find the CD that came with your card and cannot identify it (so you can search for a driver on the Internet), your simplest solution is to buy a new USB cable or serial adapter that comes with its own driver.  They seem to run from $ 10 to $ 20 or more.

Do yourself a favor and read the comments in places like Newegg, TigerDirect and Amazon before deciding that one to buy.

Another alternative (that some of the negative reviews on the cables/adapters mentioned) is to buy a serial port PCI card (assuming that you have a free desktop/tower with a PCI slot computer).

  • External USB hard drives lose its connection and work stoppages. __

External USB hard drives lose its connection and work stoppages.      History

    Windows 7 Ultimate - 64-bit
I installed it on a HP Pavilion, OS, 64-bit, and I have this problem.
People report that it does not occur with Windows 7 32 bit OS.

    Problem:
Any brand of external hard drive USB (and other USB devices sometimes) lose its connection and stops working only when copying large files internal drive to external USB drives.
The USB device may appear to work properly when Windows first starts, but later stops working (crashes computer) after the start of large files to copy. You must restart Windows for the USB is working again.
This only occurs when you copy files large files to THE USB port, not on the internal drive. It happened when I synicing my IPhone with Itunes when it started the synchronization of music files.

According to the suggestions I have:
    1) updated the BIOS from the websites of the manufacturers.
    (2) power management disabled on the USB hub for disks
    (3) ensure that the BIOS for Legacy USB is set to.  I don't have this option in the BIOS settings.
    (4) this is not a motherboard problem, it is located on three different MB that we use.
Also tried three different USB drives and different cables.

Because I tested with two different computers updated and USB drives, our opinion is that this problem indicates that the Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

    Someone knows a solution?

    Hi Jh6284,

    4. expand the 'USB Bus controllers' category
    5. right click and uninstall all THE references listed
    6. restart your computer and check if it works.

I suggest you go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your and try to install the latest drivers for the chipset. Make sure that install you in compatibility mode there is no driver for Windows 7 64 bit.

Please go through the article below to install in compatibility mode.

  • Satellite Z930 - suspend the problem with connected USB hard drive

    Hello

    Owner of a newly acquired Satellite Z930-15 X, I have a few questions/problems:

    1) suspends the work of RAM and good hibernation when there is no external hard drive connected. If there is one is connected, the laptop immediately returns back to suspend state. Is there a solution for this?

    (2) is there a way to selectively disable Bluetooth? Currently, only toggle airplane mode is available (with Fn + F8 or Windows 8 charm bar). This activates / deactivates the Wi - Fi or Bluetooth I think.

    (3) the portable computer is wobbly on reception. I put a bit of thin paper at the corner of a bottom (bottom left) so that it can be stabilized. Apparently, the problem is also mentioned in another thread. Is there a suggestion to fhix this problem?

    Thank you.

1 / what HARD drive is connected to your laptop? When I use the external 2.5 HARD drive with my Satellite U940 I n t have problem.

2 / I ve tested it on my machine and I noticed the same thing. When WIFI is disabled software BT is off too. I didn t find a way how to separately control adapter WLAN and BT.

3 / I think that this issue needs to be clarified with Toshiba service. They must check and perhaps exchange rubbers inside.

  • Windows Explorer stops working whenever I have connect a USB flash drive and try to access

    Hello. I use Windows Vista.

I had a particular problem. Whenever I have plug in a USB key and try and access it, I get a pop saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working." the file is closed. If I wait a long time (i.e. 10 seconds), I might be able to get into the drive without any problems, but even when there is no guarantee. The problem persists in each USB slot I use. In addition, it is not that the computer is not able to detect it. It can detect and identify that it is a USB flash drive. It's just that whenever I try to access (or the folders inside the flash player), windows Explorer stops working and restarts.

Does anyone have this problem before? And any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The mistake made reference the MSVCR80.dll, which is a Microsoft file, but it may be another third party file, causing the problem.

  • NB100 - How can I reinstall OS from USB flash drive

My laptop TOSHIBA NB 100 has no CD-DVD player.

Laptop start not at all so I can't run any kind of test when I turn it on.

So I want to reload Windows from my USB flash drive.
The BIOS boot sequence is the USB HDD - FDD - FD - CD memory.

What are the steps for loading Windows USB flash drive?

If that does not work then I want to connect another laptop with Windows CD in the CD - DVD drive laptop.
Will this work? The laptop will use the Windows CD in the drive of the laptop to load the operating system?
    How to make this connection?

    Hello

You usually have an external USB CD/DVD drive to boot from the Windows XP disc or the Toshiba recovery disc.

But there is a method that allows you to install Win XP using the 2 GB USB key.
This is possible because the NB100 BIOS supports booting from USB key.

    Pease check this Web page:

+ Installation of Windows XP using a USB Flash Drive.

  • AC2400 (E8350) router cannot map USB hard drive in Windows network.

    Hi all

I recently bought the Linksys AC2400 wireless router and a USB 3 Western Digital Elements 2 TB hard drive.

The network works perfectly, except for the USB hard drive. The firmware on the router recognizes it okay, but in the windows network, I can't access your hard drive. I simply get a path not found error.

    I tried:

Y access inside or outside Windows Homegroup.

-Re - formatting in the linksys configuration (Fat32... There is room for improvement)

-Test the USB drive directly into the PC, works perfectly and formatted in NTFS.

    -Turn off all firewalls.

-Tried the port USB2/Esata instead of the USB3

Also, from another computer on the network, I get the same error.

Pre-installed on the hard drive was a mediaserver program called Twonky. He wants autoconnet to my router using port 9000, but the web interface I get then does nothing. Also when I enable the mediaserver configuration linksys website, he created a mediaserver in windows network, wth pilots twonk. But I can't change that.

When I test the ftp server, I had access to the hard drive without any problem. This suggests that it is not a compatibility problem.

I could also map the Windows ftp server, but that does not work on my mediaplayer, I need for this network interface.

Does anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong and why windows is unable to connect to your hard drive?

I didn't install the new version of firmware, because the changelog mentions nothing about the functions of the USB or storage.

I've added a few photos with the settings, it could be useful.

THX in advance for any response.

    Map of old-school reader:

    1. Open the file Explorer or (right click computer and 'Map network drive')
    2. Click "Map network drive" in the top menu
    3. Choose the drive letter
    4. Enter "\\192.168.1.1\" or "\\192.168.1.1\your-share-name".
    5. Add identifying information if access to the secure folder is enabled "Admin" and password

Test the USB drive on another PC or laptop.

Connect a different usb flash drive to the usb ports on your laptop to verify that the problem is related to this particular usb flash drive.

Unfortunately, some just usb flashdrives stop working. I had this happen a few times.
