  If your try Windows 7 or Vista 64-bit, you will find Belkin isn't 64-bit drivers. However, Belkin do not have drivers anyway.   It may or may not always work; It is a material that is quite old, built originally for Windows 95. Compatibility mode is your best bet, in my opinion.

  I just checked the information file for driver installation for the W8.1 driver and there is no support for the hardware ID you have posted.

  Try this one for W7.  When I took a peek in the file of configuration information, it looks no different from that of the W8.1 driver file, except that it contains support for the hardware ID you have posted.

  I have a Photosmart 7762 printer attached to a NAS box (with wiring everything very hard to go to the behind the various units of the office) and want to be able to print to it a new PC for Windows 8.1 that is installed (with difficult access to the wiring) in a separate room, but on the same network.

  The HP site for the printer says that I have to use Windows Update to obtain the driver, but this only works if you physically connect the printer to the PC which is not an easy thing to do in this case.
