Use CPU 100% on window customers 7/2008

Hello

Have workstation 7.1 and the following came "out of the blue".

  • Had not opened a guest in several weeks
  • Open 2008 comments, processor attached to 100%
  • Show process Taskmgr taking up a large part of the processor, but not all 100%; seems to balance on a number of tasks; closing taskmgr does not help
  • Have restarted comments, host, upgrade to 7.1.3 - no result
  • Malware of thought; sweeps home vacuums
  • Analysis seemed to have effect, however; dropped to normal after environ.5 the scan time - twice
  • Peggs back to 100% if the comments in pause or stop
  • Exactly the problem now on another Win 7 comments on the same host
  • Problem not intervene on Win 2003 comments

Arrgh - all help appreciated.  This came flying out of left field; no problem with these comments before.

Greg

Welcome to the community,

What is your host operating system? Windows 7? Did you apply SP1?

In this case, add vmmon.disableHostParameters = "TRUE" to the C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware Workstation\config.ini and restart the host.

    Some troubleshooting you can try:

It can change so quickly that the total is rarely exactly as 100%.

These methods allow to see if you can determine what is using cycles CPU when the system of bogs

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • use of 100% of Cisco ips 4270 cpu...

Hi people I have cisco ips 4270 version 7.0 (2) E3 when I try to access through IDM his show the cpu1 CPU = 100% and 100% = cpu4, but vary cpu1 and cpu2 can you please tell me what will be the solution to this problem...

When I try to go to the configuration then its give me error... attached document attached please check...

    Hello

Having 100% on some of your CPU is normal on the platform of the IPS.

The device uses cycles slowed down it is to prepare for the handling of incoming packets and reduce the delay that it will introduce on their way, then is expected to get even under low load.

If you want to get a better idea of capacity by % of your IPS you are currently using, you should have a look at the value of the load of the Inspection. Looking at the data that you have provided, you are about 25% at present.

For the message timeout rdep, it seems to be a software problem. Looking more closely at the image you attached, you can also see "analysis engine status: no answer.

It is somewhat difficult to troubleshoot those on CSC, so I suggest to prosecute TAC if you want to know the exact origin of cause.

What I advise is upgraded to the latest code of 7 (0) which is I believe 7.0 E4 (5A), since it is more then likely fixed in this version.

If you are looking for a quick fix, a reboot of the PPE must erase this but the problem will more then likely return later.

    Kind regards

Why my poster Task Manager my CPU 100% busy so no or few applications is running? In particular the process explorer.exe (the OS) occupies CPU resourses.

    Angelo

    Hello

Thank you for your kind reply.

    My answers to your questions:

    1 processor: Intel Core 2 CPU 4300 1.80 GHz

    2. RAM: 2.00 GB

    3 OS architecture: 32-bit

    4. OS version: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (V6.1.7601)

As I said before, CPU usage was 100% even if no demand had started. The operating system (explorer.exe) used about 60% of the CPU.

Microsoft Security Essentials has not helped.

In the meantime, I found a solution. After using restore system several times (not only one!), I managed to get my normal working conditions in return.

    Problem solved, thanks again!

A lot of changes began to sturdiness almost every night until the system is almost usless today.

1 Diskperfect sent an automatic update, which we do not have the server set for, because of the many issues in the past with windows home server.

    2. then the systetm started accepting all kinds of windows 2011 updates and automatic restarts on a database of 2003 with coverage WHS Server fancy top.

    3. the server started to accpeting all Microsoft Windows server 2003 Small Business Server updates

in the last 10 days and with never attempt to stop the automatic updates at night, with the exception of blocking off the system. Now the system truly believes that it belongs to WHS2008, part of WHS 2011 and part windows small business server 2003.

Support through our partner accout told us that it is impossible, got the journal reports and we can either retrieve the number SRX online and when we call we get from the SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 WHS and then told to call perfect disc three times happened in a BIG circle through my Department.

  • First CC2015.0.1 crashes quickly transport through sequences ProRes (@CPU 100%)

    Hello-

After updated in CC2015 (and the other a.0.1), I noticed that the first is a lot less stable.

I actually managed to isolate the behavior when I would be transported quickly through sequences (using keys JKL accelerate up to max speed.)  After being at maximum speed and then to wait a bit for first to sort of "dragging" (generally through 1 + minutes of footage) and first would break.  This does NOT happen quickly rubbing through the images.

I was able to reproduce this problem with a NEW PrPro project that was started in 2015.  I was able to reproduce the issue with the wrapped .mov files created by the two Final Cut ProRes / compressor as well as files created by Atomos Ninja ProRes.  The way back to PPro CC2014, I confirmed that this problem was not present.  I was not able to reproduce this problem with other types of images (even though I only tried with H.264, DNxHD and DNxHR.)

Also, I look at my system specs while rubbing, when my CPU 100% usage was when she would crash in CC2015.  With the help of CC2014 rub through the same images, that it could peak around 70-80%.

Also looking at the HDs system resources never more than 50%, GPU no more than 10% and I am 12 years old and + GB of ram to spare.

All my OS and GPU patches and updates are installed.  My specs are below:

Intel Xeon W3565 3.2 GHz CPU

    24 GB Ram

    nVidia GTX 980 TI

All the updates of Windows 8.1, run

    OS / Apps on SSD

Project (ProRes images) on hard disk 7200 RPM external connected via SATA internal

Cover media on separate 1 TB 7200 RPM drive working.

    Hi Ryan,

First Pro CC 2015.0.2 update (9.0.2) to solve this problem. Sorry for the waiting and inconvenience.
