Use of Droid in Europe

I know that phone service and 3g data service is not available in Europe, but will work the wifi and gps? Also can I recharge the droid in Europe simply adapting the electric pins to adapt the European catch? Thank you

Depending on where you are in Europe, it may or may not work.  You are right that most of Europe is GSM but there are some on cdma technology.  I was in Egypt (I know, not exactly europe) a couple summers ago and my LG Dare has worked perfectly there, while the mobile minutes are expensive

Regarding the wifi, it will work fine out there, but if that's what you use it for, I would try to find an app that turns off cell signal, so it is not constantly trying to find a signal and your battery.  Airplane mode can do that, but it can also put in wifi and gps turned off, not quite sure.  GPS works there, in theory, but google maps navigation will most likely not.  There is a reason that he was not inclined to step, it is probably not configured it.

Regarding the map, in addition to the power adapter, you will need a converter.  They can be picked up at radio shack very cheap.  Tell them that you are going to europe and need a power converter and adapter and they will be able to help you.  I learned this the hard way, European opportunities to use a different current and without the converter you will fry the phone.  Do not want that!

Intend to purchase Apple Watch USA and use it in Europe. Will this be a problem? Can I use only a simple switch of 3rd party? I'm going to hurt same hardware or software?

    Hello

You will be able to use the watch in Europe.

There is no regional differences in the hardware and the software can be configured to your chosen region. The supplied USB power adapter will have to pine trees located in the United States. A travel adapter will allow you to connect it to the European outlets.

Alternatively, you can buy an Apple USB power adapter that is located in your country of destination / country.

  • Using Droid Turbo as a TV remote control

Did someone using their Droid Turbo as a remote control for their TV? If so, what App do you use, and how does it work?

    Thank you

I do not think that the turbo has an IR blaster, so it does not work like a TV remote in this case.

  • is there a way to tell if the person calling me is really using an iPhone.

A person calls me a phone which, said, is an iPhone, yet when I text, my outgoing text does not appear in blue, what he does with everyone who has an iPhone.   In addition, I get the text of the message undeliverable.  So my questions are: 1) is there a way for me to verify that the person calling is the use of an iPhone, and 2) if indeed it is an iPhone, why the text would not delivered?  Even if the person was using a droid, the text should go.

There is no way to determine what type of phone a person uses when they call you. As iMessage versus SMS is, if the person who uses an iPhone does not choose to have iMessage activated, so you would not get the opportunity to send a message as an iMessage, he would send as a normal SMS. If the message is not delivered, it could be for any number of reasons, connection problems, the lack of a SMS plan on one of the devices, etc. Can send you a SMS? If so, can answer you?

  • Firefox android app fails when you use orbot (tor)

I have installed Orbot and torified Firefox, my browser stock and several other applications in my settings Orbot. However, Firefox returns an error page (impossible to connect / check your network settings). Should what settings I set to use Firefox for android and orbot. In addition, my stock browser apears work very well and, as expected, sites cannot identify my origin. I use a Droid X running Cyanogen Mod 7.
    Thank you

Thank you for your help. Just in case other users need help I've included my solution below.

I was able to solve this problem by following these steps:
1 were going to about: config
2 entry "proxy" in the search field
    3. change the following parameters:

     network.proxy.http 127.0.0.1
     network.proxy.http_port 8118
     network.proxy.socks 127.0.0.1
     network.proxy.socks_port 9050
     network.proxy.socks_remote_dns true
     network.proxy.type 1

    4. close and restart Firefox

A user can also use the add-on Proxy Mobile of the Guardian project. The add-on changes these settings for you, but before this post, I had compatibility problems with the add-on to addons.mozilla.org so I tried to do it manually. I found the updated module (https://guardianproject.info/releases/proxymob-latest.xpi) and installed. You must always give the port numbers specified in 3 above.

    Thanks again

  • Use of LabView for exploitation of Bosch Rexroth HCS01

    Hello people,

I am a student assistant and my current project is to complete what was launched in a work of degree more than a year ago: to build an experimental platform to test the effect of superconductivity on maglev technology. Part of this experimental platform is a precision three-rail network operated by compact inverters HCS01 (IndraDrive Cs) by Bosch Rexroth.

My question is: is it possible to use LabView to operate the three axes of a central VI?

I have already connected all three compact inverters to a computer and I am able to operate using most Ds-startup-easy mode, but I can only operate separately and not of a single window.

Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated!

    Greetings,

    Paul Masuch

    Hello world

I just found this forum article on control components Rexroth with LabView and as a representative of Rexroth, I disagree that West no way is easier to control than using Ethernet/IP.

We have an official partnership with National Instruments, and offers a complete Package of VI for all our components (IndrDrives and IndraControl automata) to access all the features of a PLC or lead of Bosch Rexroth. This is possible thanks to our Open Core of Bosch Rexroth and our open approach we take with our automation components. For controllers the VI contains more than 850 screws to communicate directly from your LabView execution to the controller. These packages are completely free for you and you can download the packages from our Web site

    http://www.boschrexroth.com/OCE

(access after registration in our network in engineering).

In addition it s also possible to control our readers a cRIO OR using the Council of Europe.

Here's a sneak peek of our open main Interface feature. There are SDKS for several languages of programming and several technologies including National Instruments Soft - and hardware.

So you see, West don't need to learn PLC programming, when you want to connect LabView to Automation from Rexroth.

If you have any trouble Don t hasitate to contact me!

    Best regards

  • Verizon CS "confirms" imminent ICS for the Droid Razr

I just got the phone to VZ customer service. I needed to use my Droid 3 on my next trip abroad, the unlock code.

As finished I spoke with three different agents, I asked each of them on the Razr and ICS updates.

The first said that she was about to enter a meeting and thought it might be on ICS to the razr.

The first two, said they had not heard an update for GB, but maybe the rumors where about ICS.

The third officer of CS confirmed that ICS for the Razr will be available anywhere "one to four weeks!

I really want to believe that this guy.

  • No e-mail error with Outlook Express and Verizon Droid hotspot sending phone

Outlook Express using only email for years with dialup... no problem.  Now, using verizon droid phone hotspot to access the internet and can not send emails (can receive throughout the day). Help Verizon sent me say here that it is a question of Microsoft based on Error 0x800CCC0E.  Here is my error message: the connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.triton.net', server: 'mail.triton.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 10054, error number: 0x800CCC0E.

That's my next step, I guess.  If I can get a fix, I'll post.  I think I should just switch to web e-mail and say the hell with it as the hotspot works awsome for web browsing... may be the easiest option in the long term.  Thanks for your help so far, Bruce

  • DROID: Transferring music from Mac to my Droid

I was able to mount the droid on my Mac, but can't drag and drop of my music. Is anyone else able to do this? Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

I couldn't drag the playlists, but I could select individual titles in the playlist and drag them to. Something that maybe someone knows, after disassembly of the drive, I still can't get out the droid on my desktop Mac drive icon. I tried a lot of things. First of all, I have to disable USB storage device. Then, I can unmount SD card. But I get a message that the disk is in use and could not be ejected. I just unplug it. Can't be good for her, but I have not found another way. I'm maybe not allowing enough time for the songs to be copied on the Droid. Anyone know about this? There are a lot of Mac users who want to use the Droid (many of us don't like AT & T). Maybe help will come from Motorola finally. Not to alienate the Mac users.

  • DROID: Is it possible to cancel the timeout of the screen when loading?

I wish I could use my droid with the maps in the car, but unless I'm in navigation, the screen times out and empties.  Is there a way to set this based on the question of whether you charge the phone or not?  I use a power cable in the car.  If the car dock has a magnet to make the screen stays on, that may need to be placed where?

  • BlackBerry smartphones I just got my new Motorola Droid 2

I thought I'd share my feelings on the Blackberry storm and what RIM did that was really bad.

1 RIM abandoned the excitement about the storm very quickly, so that the successive versions were actually worse. I went for more than a year with:

    a. bad phone calls (I had to put in speaker mode to receive calls from phone to work). The Droid 2 is clear.

    b. the screen click statement so much better on the droid just to have a vibrarion minute when you click a button on the screen. Works just as well.

    c. the Blackberry is slow on just about everything and is broken just about anywhere. I get my screen in a mode where I press a keyboard and a button on the opposite side of the screen lights up as if I pressed on y. I don't have these problems with my new droid.

    d. the blackberry only gives you quick access to material internal. I understand the security concepts but droid can do and maintain security.

    2. the differences between the blackberry and the droid 2 are just night and day. I am surprised every time function and response. The droid 2 just leave the blackberry storm in the dust. If I didn't know any better, I would say that Blackberry is out of the phone business. They might as well give up now.

    3. I suggest that RIM or leverage in QNX (which is a very nice RTOS), or implement an android phone that is clean and add to the cool, rather than harm to this.

Good luck and I'm disappointed, but I gave Blackberry a fair shake. They just don't cut.

I am a developer too and I reached a relatively high level in the developer for blackberry forum.

    I develop for android now.

    I had a storm 1.

    I kept the software updated.

I'm a software engineer, so he was not a user error.

The droid 2 is about the same size as the blackberry storm, so the comment about 2 x 4 is . The droid is very nice to use as a phone... and I could hear a pin drop. The speaker is also very good.

My comments are not opinion. They are done. I have described specific things that happened with my phone. I don't see how the Storm 2 would be different. That he could call ability (note that I couldn't keep my storm in my ear that I had to make a decent call in speakerphone mode). It could also have the location of the most reliable touchscreen. However, it would still have other issues. And blackberry connect this droid 2. User experience everything is so nice and so natural to feel that I am very surprised. I was expecting it to be different, but not that good. It really is like night and day. If you have not used a droid. Find a friend with one and ask to swap the phones for a day or to spend an hour with her. It will blow you away. It's so nice.

Yes, these discussions can be like religions. I agree with that, but I've always been a fan of blackberry. I gave him a fair shot. I'm afraid that's not a fair opinion. My droid 2 is VASTLY superior to my blackberry storm... This isn't a fair opinion.

Finally, I acknowledge that by limiting the use, the blackberry is a tad safer, and the android OS is open to virus and security issues. However, if you buy a specific device with a certified operating system, do not install an application not certified, you will be safe. Yes, it is possible for someone to write an application that is not secure for the droid and to sell or to give it for free through an unusual channel, but this is a user error. A talented person could do the same for the blackberry. I could do this using assembler arm and points in the start-up code for an application. I have to waste his time to understand the appropriate addresses, but thanks to the knowledge of the means chip I could do if I wanted to waste a lot of time. It is I don't have time to lose... Then the verdict here is that security is really up to the habits of the user. It is easier to hit a virus by mistake on a droid on a blackberry, but it's pretty rare... rare enough to not make a difference for me. Now for applications sensitive military and policies (such as the phones of the President), then it makes more sense to use a blackberry.

    Peace
