Using Droid Turbo as a TV remote control

Did someone using their Droid Turbo as a remote control for their TV? If so, what App do you use, and how does it work?

Thank you

I do not think that the turbo has an IR blaster, so it does not work like a TV remote in this case.

  • What software to use on Presario V3918 for XP remote control?

Hello everybody, my problem is, I've downgraded successfully to XP my presario V3918. Everything works ok, but last week I received a remote from tx1330 Pavilion. This remote works on my machine, but its function is reduced, because I can use only a few buttons. For example, keys windows media center and DVD are useless on XP. Is it possible to do their job? The editable functions button or something?

Also, I wanted to ask why my microphone does not work on XP, my audio device is detected as Conexant HD audio, but I can't activate the microphone in the volume control because the option is not available.

Hope someone can help me with this, sorry for my English. Thank you.

    Hi Lil-k

The remote control driver was built HP Quick Launch Buttons.

I have had no experience with tx1330 remote control, but I can assure you that it works with remote dv2000, dv6000 and dv9000.

    .NET framework (before quick launch)

    HP Quick Launch buttons

    here: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp40001-40500/sp40139.exe

Uninstall the current sound driver, install an updated driver the below:

    Conexant SmartAudio 221

    here: http://www.mediafire.com/?dg0cmmkm4y4

Use it for audio. Unzip in a folder. Run the Setup program.

If it errors use Device Manager.

In Device Manager, right click "Audio Device on HD", choose Update driver, not to communicate.

Install from a list or a specific location, select do not search.

I will choose the driver to install,

For the hardware Type select 'show all devices '.

Remove control "Show compatible hardware" and click on 'disk '.

Next... Navigate to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".

    Ignore XP when it complains.

    Reset.

I got V3700 series and it work very smooth with XP.

  • Can I use my android phone as a remote control for the air to my iPad

I have an iPad Air, can I control remotely using my phone android mobile

    N °

About the only thing you might be able to do is to get a basic application is which is about android and iOS, as a player (do they have an android app) and then you can use it to access the documents of these two devices (upload photos from your iPad and view them on your phone and vice versa, for example)

but your phone and your iPad literally speak two different languages.

  • Qosmio F20-132: Question on the use of the remote control

Hi ppl, I just read the manual of my laptop and I realized something that I didn't realize before

I can use my remote control without using the "infrared adapter" using the USB connection, but it does not work inside the Win XP MCE, but I can use it to turn on my laptop and off and use other features, I will try in the future to use some other aplications with the remote control. I guess many of you guys realized it when you bought your laptop, but I said at the beginning when I opened the package ' what the hell? remote control... but I really need this adapter? Sherazade, that sucks.

by the way someone is using the remote control with other applications (such as ahead nero, chis tv, or linux inside)?

    Hello

I downloaded the manual for this unit, and according to the information of the remote control receiver is required if you want to use the MCE Remote control.

In addition, remote controls USB only works with Win MCE and so cannot be used directly with Qosmio Player
Additional some application programs can not supported control functions remotely.

  • Remote Control Surface RT using Windows Phone

Y at - it an app that allows you to use a Windows Phone as a remote control for the Surface 2? For example, if Surface 2 is connected to a TV via HDMI, can you control the Surface of the couch using a Windows Phone?

EDIT: Found this app "Unified remote", but does not currently support Windows RT. We can try to make requests in their request page of http://requests.unifiedremote.com/. There is an APA request Windows RT but I can't seem to be able to click on the star. Let me know if you are able to.

EDIT #2: I got a response from the people behind the "Unified Remote" application above. They say they receive a lot of requests for RT so it's something that they intend to work and out in the future, but no word on how long they intend to get it out. If it is interesting for you, I say drop a line so that they know that demand for an application of the RT is here!

    Hello

I am not aware or all the apps that provide this functionality for Windows RT.  I understand that you have found an app, but it does not support Windows RT. You cannot send a request through the Web site. I've tried it myself and was unable to click on the star.

You can click on this link and get in touch with unified remote support.

    I hope this helps.

  • Tecra 750: Question on the infrared remote control and TV

    Hello

I wonder if anyone can help. I have an old Tecra 750 which I use as a sound system to play my MP3 collection. It has an infrared detector on it and I was wondering if it is possible to use this to receive a TV remote control IR, so I can use a remote control to navigate through my audio files. Does anyone know how or where I could find how? Y at - it a freeware to help maybe? Is it still possible?

    Thank you!

    Hello

The computer uses infrared IRDA, and it is not compatible with the type of infra-red used by normal remote controls.

You could get an external infrared remote control which must be plugged into the USB port.

  • Windows Media Center does not recognize an Entone Hydra box/remote control cable

I'm putting in place the WMC to work with my cable box Entone. It's not satellite, this is the area used by CCC Southslope in Eastern Iowa. There is no section Entone for activation of the box, automatic remote recognition does not take into account. When I try to teach my cable remote codes manually it will "key to continue" but never moves from the teaching of the 1 button for button 2.  I am sure that the IR receiver works and is properly plugged in, and that the batteries in the remote are fresh.

Make sure the distance between the IR receiver and the remote control is quite close, there are no obstacles between the two and the whole set up is not under the direct fluorescent light.

  • Support of remote control options to view 4 desktops

Can someone suggest a support remotely appropriate office application?

We use currently NetOp v9.2.2 remotely control our physical computers for the management of the end user. It allows several customers view and control a single host for collaboration, etc. Runs as a service and is fast.

However, it doesn't play well with desktop view mode RDP. Works very well in mode of PCoIP but conflicted with RDP.

DameWare is my next choice, but their customer service is a show-stopper. Any other suggestions?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

We had this same problem and I can't say that we have resolved yet. We use LANDesk here on campus, so it would have been nice to use his ability to remote control integrated as we do for our physical machines.  Unfortunately, the landesk agent and pools of related clones don't play well together.

I have not yet tested, but I looked at using WebEx Support remotely:

    http://www.WebEx.com/product-overview/Support-Center/remote-support.html

There was a conversation at VMWorld in the fall that remote assistance could be a new feature in a future version of view - but it doesn't look like to me he was coming very soon.

  • Using a remote control or the remote with two Apple TV app?

1 can a remote AppleTV, is the most recent or a last generation we use with two different AppleTV (one is the most recent and is the older generation)?

    2. an iPhone Remote APP can be used with two different Apple TV?

    Thank you.

1 not easily. There is no way to select the device to control, you end up control both. You could get a programmable remote control and lead to control different devices, but this would require a deception.

    2. no doubt. The Remote app offers a grid of all ATVS, he knows, and you choose the one to control. It has the advantage of a keyboard for searches, passwords, etc. Do you need a remote pair with each ATV.

When I press on simple volume keys + / doesn't seem to work.
I have the batteries in it but do not know if I have to activate something on the laptop itself to start using the feature.

A remote control that is included with some models allows you to perofom certain functions.
Using the remote control, you can
-Navigate and control the media center window

-Place the computer in and out of fashion "Eve".

There is a button on the remote control.
It begins or ends the OS. The functions of this button as your computer's power button. By default, the "sleep mode" is equivalent to powering down of the State of your laptop. to change this click Start-> Control Panel-> system and security-> power options.
You will find options; do nothing, sleep, hibernate, shut down.

  • Re: Cannot use remote control with my Satellite P20

I just got hold of a PSP20E and the remote control (2 of them) does not work, the light blinks but that's all. When I try to set up in the Media Center settings, I get the message unable to detect the remote sensor.

I was told by the previous owner it was working, the only thing I've done is to adapt to a new DVD (TEAC DV-W28E) player and loads of recommended Windows updates. The BIOS version is 1.6 and I'm under Win XP MCE (sp2). Any ideas would be welcome.
Either by the way, I write a BIOS updated on a CD, or do I have to buy a floppy drive?

    Hello, Alan

I used Satellite P20 over 2 years and I never noticed any problem with the small remote control. I guess you bought second-hand laptop and in my opinion, the first things you need to do is install the OS via recovery CD.

When the laptop to factory settings, you must test the operation of the equipment, in particular the use remote control. Recovery image is designed so that everything should work. If this isn't the case, it may be just because of a malfunction of the equipment. As I've already said I used this laptop long enough and never noticed any problems.

To be honest I didn t make updates because the BONE was very well set up. As I said, you can test it with recovery image.

The BIOS update you need floppy drive.
