Use of the RAM mounted fast

I noticed that my computer suffered a ridiculous amount of lag and saw that my memory usage was close to 98%. I cut all my open programs, other than the Task Manager, and only, it dropped to 80%. (is usually around 40-50% usage) With each program closed, the memory started increasing (1% about every five seconds) until I stop the laptop when he reached 94%.

Just before stopping, I noticed there were a couple of process in Task Manager which seemed to raise more than 1 100 000 K of memory, but I can't remember what programs they were. I will update if I find out what programs are those that have been, unless a solution is found first.
What processes would all suddenly eat upward of a lot of RAM?
PC Info:
Samsung R580, over 3 years, recently replaced hard drive two months ago.
I don't know if this helps, but I got Vuze installed before shutdown and removed since the restart. It is the latest software that I had installed.
If you need additional information, feel free to ask. Thanks in advance!
Note: 1% every five seconds may not be remarkably fast, but given that it is generally stable and a much lower percentage, and considering also that I have little or no knowledge of the use of the RAM, it is extremely fast for me.

The problem is PC-specific and can be caused by viruses and malware.

If you usually download from torrent sites you can choose to analyze both a decent AV and malicious software utilities - everything is free

  • Windows XP can be updated to use all the RAM on a PC?

    Hi all

I have a question that concerns me for centuries. Then Windows XP updated so that it can use all the RAM on a PC? The reason why I ask this is that I find a bit strange that my custom PC has a total of 8GBs of RAM but XP only can use a 2.96GBs total or 3GBs if I use one of my two video cards (currently using a GPU SLI configuration). So is one such update for XP or I'd be better off getting Win7 or Win8 when it comes out?

If I'm not mistaken, you need a 64-bit o/s (hardware Inc.) to address more than 4 GB.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to check the use of the ram?

I have 3 GB of ram on my pc, and I want to know how to check the use of the ram in xp pro? is the use of FP in taskmanager? or (k) of the kernel memory?

Yes, Yes... and no. All applications on your computer uses RAM, not only the pagefile or system (kernel).

What are you really trying to do?

See http://www.petri.co.il/pagefile_optimization.htm , especially the part under "How Pagefile your system use?"

  • Use of the RAM of Firefox causing accidents?

In the last three days, I have observed a new problem with my Firefox. I never had this problem before.
If I load any text or images on a tab, it causes the RAM to increase usage. Its use does not diminish over time, and sites such as Facebook and 9GAG, with long flow of images and text, can cause the use of RAM go more than 2.5 Gigabits. Once it reaches this threshold, Firefox crashes. Manually close Firefox also removes the use of RAM, although the closing of tabs does not work.
I scoured the list help accidents, even if nothing is done.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

  • Great use of the RAM in the new MacBook Air?

It's the first time I've owned a Mac and it is currently a week. I use every day since it arrived (watching videos, using the word and research). Recently, I found my way on activity monitor, 7.5 GB of physical memory to 8 GB was in use - 3 GB of this was kernel_task. I stopped all open windows, so it is now 1.11 GB, but it still seems way too high. That said, I know nothing of what it should be, so I would like to know if this is normal? If this is not the case, what I can do to lower the kernel_task? (In addition, the kernel_task is GB 25,42 disk tab, should I worry?)

Set apart this, nearly half of the RAM is still in use and I would like to know if it's too normal - for such a new mac.

The system was not slowed down at all, while I use it, but if there is a problem, I would like to know before it becomes a problem. If the problem comes from the manufacturer and not how I use the mac, I of the ofc as contact with Apple.

Yes, it's normal.  On operating systems newer, the OSX tries to use as much RAM is available for maximum efficiency.

The new setting is the PRESSURE.  If it's Green, everything is good.  If she turns to orange or red, then there may be issues that need to be addressed.

    Ciao.

  • Safari - use of the RAM going through the roof

    Hello

    I have a problem with Safari 9.0.3

Since last week the RAM usage is exploding. When you open Safari it will use 1.63 GB. Without activity or window / tabs open, the RAM usage goes up quickly. After less than four minutes, the use is already at 32 GB. Safari, then crashes by freezing.

I've done what is obvious: flush caches, disable the modules and plugins, but nothing helped.

Anyone have any idea what makes Safari go haywire?

Data sheet: iMac i5 3.2 GHz, RAM OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 24GO

Try Safari/history/Show History and remove all items from the history.  Quit/relaunch Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History... The downside is that it deletes all cookies. It could upset some sites no longer recognizes your computer as one that has visited the web site. Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select Library./Caches/com.apple.Safari/Caches.db, and then move it to the trash.

Go to Safari preferences/Extensions and disable all extensions. Test. If correct, enable the extensions one by one until find you which extension is causing the problem.

  • use of the RAM to 97% all the time

My ram usage is still 97%, is this normal?

It is normal that the available RAM to use for implementing caching to improve performance. The RAM will be freed up if necessary. What you should look for, is if the swap is used. If the system is by exchanging a lot that would indicate a problem.

  • Pavilion 15-p101nm: using all the RAM

I have 4 GB of RAM, 3.44 alone can be used by OS and etc, another 500 MB are RESERVED by GPU and CANNOT be used for other programs. When I check the properties and see "RAM installed," he said "4 GB (3.44 GB usable). Also when I run the Task Manager and look for physical use of Mem I see clearly that all usable memory is exactly 3.44 GB. So I want to somehow disable GPU on board and make all the usable memory, but do not know how... Actually I disabled it, but everything is still the same...

You can't just. On AMD a series it's an APU... the video tracks integrated into the processor itself and the switchable dedicated card is based on the embedded video. So you can't just use 100% of the system memory for Windows tasks. Some will be used by the video system.

You are using Windows 7 32 bit?

All versions of Windows 32-bit client (not just Vista/XP/7) have a 4GB
address space (64-bit versions can use much more). It's the
theoretical upper limit beyond which you cannot go.

But you can not use all of the 4 GB of address space. Even if you
have a 4 GB address space, you can use * autour * 3. 1 GB of RAM.
This is because some of the space is used by the hardware and is not
available for the operating system and applications. The amount you can
use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but can
range from as little as 2 GB to 3.5 GB. It's usually around
    3. 1 GB.

Note that the hardware is using the address * space *, not the real
The RAM itself. If you have a larger amount of RAM, the rest of the RAM
goes unused because there is no address to map space to.

This is a limitation of the 32-bit system.  ~1.5 concerts that are not available are probably used by your video card.

I would not go that the software that you have no idea of what it contains.  It could easily contain malware.

It is a wonder that your computer runs with all the antivirus part 3, management and more specific apps you have installed. Your computer doesn't have 3rd party applications to search for viruses, clean your computer, or manage the memory.

  • Acrobat spit - how to manage the use of the RAM?

I set up a script to turn on and turn off a large number of lists of my layers to pdf at once. The Acrobat crashes when I use it with large PDF files, about 60 layers. At the beginning I really it would be a mistake, so I checked all the functions and added on all exception handling functions. The program always crashes without throwing an exception (to be sure, I've putted app.alert (...) in the catch block). Then I realized that the Acrobat crashes if it involves up to 500 MB of RAM, on the other computer 450 MB. It is possible at all, he's blocking because of lack of memory? If so, is it possible to manage it somehow? (increase more RAM to the program or delete some variables, which use no more when running or there is some garbage man)? I would like suggestions.

    Definitely.

Nothing you can do about it, except to try to optimize your code. Unfortunately, Acrobat has a very bad memory of management mechanism and tends to choke or crash during execution of the tasks.

  • Premiere Pro using all the RAM

I recently finished a short film I made with my friends and it was a little more advanced than any other video I've ever done. According to me, whenever I opened the project, it was about 300 points of loading, at least that's what it says at the bottom. Anyway, I have a macbook 15 inch pro (mid 2010 model) with an Intel Core i5 2.4 GHz and 8 GB of RAM and I am running Adobe first Pro CS5 and editing DSLR images. For some reason any, since I started to get into the middle of this project and import images more PP took all my RAM and running very slow. I have a tracker memory and it goes from about 7.2 up to 100 MB. Really, it slows down when I'm searching through film imported for a reason, but he has never done this before. The strange thing is that when I do an Adobe Dynamic Link with AE and I'm editing in AE, RAM back up to about 3 GB, but as soon as I switch to the PP and start through several images and editing, it goes back up to 100 MB. At this time I export a video which is 3117 mb in size and about 13 minutes. It was about 2 hours and it has a 45 minutes left and moves up and down anywhere from 30 MB to 400 MB of free space, RAM my tracker. I hope that I have enough information for you guys. If it helps, I have about 75 GB free on my internal 320 GB HD, but I was lower than that and PP ran very well. My guess is that it's because of all the files that I imported into the project.

It would be useful to know the resolution/codec sequences, but honestly, I think I can answer without.

    (A) DSLR images tend to be highly compressed which means CPU and memory intensive use.

    (B) large amounts of images will use the large amount of memory.

    (C) your system is not only of great power.  You will need to make a few concessions to the material.

  • Why is my use of the ram to 100%? and crashing LAPTOP win10

I always get dozens of blue screens and one of my used hardrives pick up.

I reinstalled all the drivers for my PC on the dell site. I tried to look for the HARD drive that does not pilot, but could not find anything. WD Blue: wd10jpvx-75jc3t0 1.0 TB

I also had a problem where my helmet wouldn't pick up, but all my hard drives were very good. whenever I hit the scan for new devices, I get a crash and now sometimes when I start the PC, I get an error fatal IRQ is not or less 0 then blue screen.

the only driver I have installation problems is the NVIDIA DELL website driver. I get an error that says: this driver is not for this OS or for this system. I have the latest drivers, but on THEIR site no dells.

  • Dell PowerEdge T110 is not using all the Ram installed

Hi, my name is Juan Marrero.  I work for bike Stop, Inc. in Puerto Rico.

I've recently upgraded the processor and RAM to our PowerEdge T110 server.  Initially, there were only 4 GB of RAM.  Now he has installed 16GB but only 8 GB are usable.

The processor is an Intel Xeon x 3430 and has been upgraded to an Intel Xeon x 3470.  No problem here.

The specifications of the memories are: 4 GB DDR3 PC3 - 10600 ECC Unbuffered DIMM (4 of them)

for a total of 16 GB of RAM.  I searched the internet and found nothing in the BIOS to not limit to 8 GB.

Is there a limitation, no matter what the motherboard and processor say they can handle?

I thought. The Foundation is limited to 8 GB:
