• Widget that uses google gears on Blackberry 8530 will not work

  Hello world

  I have developed a widget that uses google gears and the file gears_init.js as the method to use sqlite. I am able to load and to see the widget to work on the 8530 Simulator, however it seems that the sqlite database is not created, and all I see are my html pages.

  Does anyone know what could be the problem? I have also deployed the app my physical device to the 8530, but are experiencing the same problem. I'm on OS 5.0.0459 and Google gears version 0.5.0.0.

  Hi drjg22,

  Make sure when you are finished with any game registration you explicitly close it.  If you do not explicitly close your record sets it will cause a memory leak.

  Do a quick check to see if your code is close your recordsets.  The signature of your error as this sounds could be the cause.

  For as long that you check your page in time as a visitor, to see if it still works (some designers tend to forget that the web), you'll be fine. Services such as Skype, Google Maps, or Facebook sometimes need to change how their scripts so that they ask you to create a new batch of code and re-only insert in your page. So don't be shocked if it happens.

  I have 9 Captivate and I use embedded Captivate widgets (not those using assets). I created my project as a project that is sensitive to be able to display in the form of tablets. Captivate told me the widgets are not compatible HTML5. When I publish on my LMS, I can see the widgets and to interact with the course on my laptop via Firefox, but I do not see the widgets in IE 11. Is there a way to get around this, or I must say to my people to download another browser to use my course?

  You need not create a project as a receptive simply to play on tablets or mobile devices.

  If widgets are known to be NOT HTML5 compatible, it is better to not use them at all.  IE11 usually works with the release of HTML5 in Captivate, but your widgets are probably not going to work in this case.

  If you use Adobe Reader, you will not be able to create a PDF file. Adobe Reader cannot create a PDF file, modify/edit the content of a PDF page or export the contents of a PDF page.

  For those, you must use Acrobat or one of Adobe's online subscription services.

  Like forms the oldest work, but not the most recent one, I suggest you to contact the server team and let them know that the issue, if there is no problem of limitation that they should check.

  Thickbox has not been in development for many years, so I'm not too surprised that it works well in modern browsers.

  You'd better to use almost anything with the latest jQuery library. See 2 below lightbox alternatives

• What the widget glossary useful when the slide will not stop?

  This is my first day trying to learn 8 Captivate. I created a glossary widget on a white page thought it could serve as a valuable resource. When I preview the it, the widget doesn't even show until most of the other path in life and then stops. I must be missing something obvious, because apparently C8 creates films, not free timed pages. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  LOL, the only one of the Adobe engineers can say why it fails to appear for the type 'Play this slide' Preview.

  He does not appear for the next 5 slides or the project, or the preview of the browser?

  As there is an interaction, may Captivate must make before it can present it correctly.

  I'm playing a Youtube video in my e-learning project.  I clicked on "Insert" and then "Interactions" and then I selected the Youtube widget and click "insert."  Whenever I'm 'a widget not valid' error message.  I also tried to add the widget by right-clicking on the stage and selecting 'objects', then 'widgets' and finally choose Youtube.wdgt.  Whatever it is, I get the same error message.

  I tried several other interactions and I get the same error message, so it seems to be a more global issue rather than something specific to the interaction of Youtube.

  You insert the SWF, not the wdgt file.

  You should be able to just to click the Interaction icon to insert left (finger pressing a button) and choose it from the list.

• Use the widget to background full screen. I can play video in chrome but not IE which is version 11.

  @IE's white screen...

  I just checked the URL on my Internet Explorer and it worked fine. I am on Windows 7 and Internet Explorer version is 11.0.9600.18097.

  Please delete the browser cookies, then try to check the url of the home page in Internet Explorer.

  Also check the link on another computer on a different network and let me know. So far the codes generated by the widget seems to work with IE11.

• Widget slideshow not updated lightbox image using changes in the browser

  I have a major problem with a client who fails to day/edit pictures on their gallery page with editing in the browser.

  The vignette/hero updates successfully as usual but the lightbox by clicking on that displays a larger version of the image is not being updated and keeps the old image that need to be replaced. The site is hosted on Business Catalyst.

  Any idea what's going wrong here?

  I checked this on Chrome and Firefox, both do not work correctly, but I'm on Windows. You are on OS X? It may be possible to be something related to Chrome for OS X.

• Can clock be turned off in order to use a digital clock Widget and are not stupid to have 2 of them at the same time?

  I read an article that you could press the button 'back' on your phone and displays a larger version of the clock, but the guy was probably referring to another phone and not the MotoDroid.  Not apply for criticism, but I chose the MotoDroid the HTC version because of the carrier and better capabilities... However, the HTC clock looks quite nice, he doesn't?

  You can't get rid of the time indicator in the notification bar.

  However, if you download home ++, there a number of fantastic features, including the horizontal orientation of the home screen. Also, if you do a long press on Home ++ icon notification in the power bar, it will hide the notification bar and give you a little more screen to watch!

  We do have a list of Message of JavaScript API.  You would have to wrap the existing Java API and use it in your widget.

  It is one of the API on the road map, but just, we have not been able to get it out on the market yet.
