  • Cannot use my keyboard shortcuts

Last night, I was playing a game on the internet that required me to use the CTRL space and arrow numerous amounts of times in a row, and now I can't use my keyboard shortcuts like ctrl + c, ctrl + v, or ctrl + alt + delete. I messed around a bit with the sticky keys options and made numerous amounts of different combinations to see if I could solve the problem, but so far, nothing has worked. I'm pretty sure that my problem is not apparent virus, I just want to know what I did to change the settings to its current form and how to get back to his previous 100% form.

    (1) what is the brand and model of the keyboard?

Method 1: Check if you are able to use the on screen keyboard shortcut.

Type without using the keyboard (on-screen keyboard)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/type-without-using-the-keyboard-on-screen-keyboard

Method 2: You may have to uninstall your keyboard driver, and then restart your computer and your keys CTRL works once more.  To do this:

    (a) click Start

    (b) Control Panel

    (c) printers and other devices

    (d) keyboard

    (e) in the keyboard properties window, click on Hardware

    (f) click Properties

    (g) click the driver

    (h) click on uninstall, click OK

  • Some ALT keyboard shortcuts do not work in the resolution of the screen Panel

    PROBLEM:

It seems that the resolution of the screen control panel dialog box some accessed via the ALT keyboard shortcuts do not seem to.

The Alt-combinations that do not seem to work are listed:

    Alt + s   (' Display: "menu drop-down)

    Alt + O   ("' Orientation:" menu drop-down ")

    ALT + M   ("" Several screens: "menu drop-down")

Is it possible to access them using some/different specified keyboard shortcuts or is it a case that they have not been implemented?

The following Reproduction method was tested using two and three monitors attached with a multi-display compatible video card (see further below for a test instance), although the problem can still occur with a single, or more than three monitors.

    MODE OF REPRODUCTION:

    (1) open the control panel.

    (2) select 'View' then 'Adjust the resolution' (or simply select "Adjust screen resolution" If a category view).

    (3) once the screen resolution dialog, hold down the ALT (left) (notice the different points on the page which reveal a letter underlined in their chain to suggest this is accessible by pressing the corresponding key on the keyboard).

"(4) with [ALT] key again press the [R] key on the keyboard and notice how this will display the corresponding resolution:" drop-down list (it's very well and as expected).

    (5) now release both keys and press the [ESC] key to clear the menu drop down.

    (6) and repeat steps 3-4 but this time using the key [O] instead of [R] (in theory, this should appear the "Orientation:" menu drop-down).

    (7) notice how nothing is happening, i.e. the "Orientation:" drop-down menu does not open upward.

    (8) repeat step 5.

    (9) now to repeat the following steps 6 through 8 for each of the keys: [D] ("' Display:" "), [M] (" "several screens:" ").

    (10) even after noticing how these keyboard shortcuts do not seem to work as suggested points out when you press [ALT].

  • What happened to the keyboard shortcut to insert an image?

I work in Captivate 8 on a Windows 7 PC. I know you used to be able to use a combination of keyboard shortcuts to insert an image. It disappeared?

I have to click Media > Image to insert an image. I would love it if Captivate had the ability to customize the keyboard shortcuts. Like Photoshop!

    Hello

Shift + Ctrl + M was (and still is) the shortcut to insert an image.

  • Isolation mode (open Group) keyboard shortcut for experienced users?

One of my actions frequently used in Illustrator is to enter the isolation for a group (usually done by double clicking) mode.

However, when you are a power user, this becomes tedious if you use too many other keyboard shortcuts.

Especially if complex objects are nested together for the multiple layers.

As far as I know, there is no shortcut key to move in isolation mode, although personally, I think that "Enter" would make a lot of sense.

Could someone please tell me if there is and if not, if it is possible to create an action that actually not a 'double click' on a group.

    Thanks in advance

  • The story ignores a newspaper (keyboard shortcuts stop working)

So I use Photoshop, I find that I can't press Cmd + Z (or Cmd + alt + Z) to cancel an error. I am also unable to use shortcut keys, so pressing B for brush, U online, E for the Eraser tool, etc. no shortcuts work.

That is until I shoot again. Once I clicked or developed anywhere within Photoshop (whether on or off the power of the Web), the keyboard shortcuts begin to work again. If overtime, whenever I want to cancel an error or use another tool with keyboard shortcuts, I have to click elsewhere to keyboard shortcuts work again...

It gets frustrating after a while.

I noticed in the historic area (the one where all the tools of measures are going in) where for example when I draw a line, the historic area does not pick up this newspaper. Yet once any attempt to use the keyboard shortcuts does not work. And once again, it is until I click elsewhere that the keyboard works. In addition, on the second click, the history box has now two actions in the list.

Thanks to those who have read my problem. I would like assistance as soon as possible. I'm ready to give any additional information that would help solve this problem

I found my problem, other problems that occurred when I have used photoshop are:

    • Keyboard shortcuts stop working
    • Lasso tool selections close prematurely and unexpectedly
    • Photoshop becomes unresponsive (it rarely happened to me)

The link (at the bottom of this comment) helped to fix this problem. It asks you to download a .zip file with a plugin file to be placed in the Plug-ins folder, respectively, and as it solved the problem.

Thank you Rohit to tide me over, you've been a star.

  • Cannot change keyboard shortcuts

It drives me crazy that Adobe does not use the standard Mac keyboard shortcuts in their applications for Mac.  I finally got pretty annoyed that I went to correct them in Dreamweaver.  I found the place to set shortcuts, but when I try to replace the end key (for end of line) with Cmd + right nothing happens.  If I got a letter, for example, that the key appears, but it does not seem to recognize Cmd + right arrow as a sequence valid.  Before you try to add that I deleted the shortcut Cmd + right which was associated with "right to speak".

    Hi guys,.

We are aware of this problem and fix this problem for the next update, where keyboard shortcuts would be like

Move the Word left CTRL + LEFT

Move the right word - CTRL + RIGHT

Pass at the beginning of the current line - ALT + LEFT

Move at the end of the current line - ALT + RIGHT

I would like to appereciate so please sign improvement asks https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform to not be able to define keyboard shortcuts unless it includes a character of alpahbetical

  • Change keyboard shortcuts

Hi im using Flash CS4 10.0.2, I would use Alt + G, but it does not allow me to do so, any way to work around this problem?

    You can use ctrl-alt-G.

but you must use ctrl for all keyboard shortcuts.

  • Refresh the view current firefox page by using the keyboard shortcut without concentrating on the firefox window.

I want to refresh the current page tab that the firefox browser open without focusing on that. For example, I focus on a text editor (creating a server-side code) and I save some changes and trigger my custom shortcut (IE [ctrl + alt + space + a]) key to refresh the firefox browser without concentrating on it.

You can do that with a keyboard shortcut without opening/development the Firefox window.

    Maybe use this extension:

  • Why all my keyboard shortcuts use the 'Alt' key instead of the ' CTRL '? I use Windows 7 and Firefox 5.0.1.

I recently downloaded Firefox 5 and noticed that all my keyboard shortcuts by default using the 'Alt' key instead of the 'Ctrl' key (so, for example, open a new tab is Alt + T instead of Ctrl + T).

I noticed that this applies even to copy and paste in Firefox (Alt + C and Alt + P is the only commands that work).

No idea why this is happening? I am running Windows 7 and Firefox 5.0.1.

I had this problem. I found that a roaming profile directory has been installed which contained a user.js file in which changed the hotkey of CTRL ALT.
    I deleted the profile folder a name randomly in c:/Users / [myuser] / AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles and then I stuck to that of c:/Users / [myuser] / AppData/Local/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles.

This bad user.js file was some other parameters, including the definition of the user agent string
    "Mozilla/5.0 (X 11;" U; Linux i686; en-US; RV:1.0.0; (Salut, maman) gecko/20020604 "

The user.js file is (or similar to) those listed here: https://www-archive.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html

  • What are the keyboard shortcuts to use the component feature snap-in in Windows 7?

One of my windows program jumps constantly at my primary monitor after clicking on apply. He does not easily slide back, Yes, is there a keyboard shortcut, or can I do a keyboard shortcut to send the BACK window?

Try pressing the right arrow Windows.  The first time, the window should anchor right on your screen, do it again, and it should move to the next screen.  This work only, however, if the window is resizable so that Aero Snap can "seize".

Otherwise, there are some public services that can help.  Some are provided with manufacturers of graphics card dual monitor, but searching for 'send to the next monitor' should find some other useful applications.  Your mileage may vary if, as these other 3rd party utilities may have the same inability to 'catch' the window.

If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle for the lelft. Thank you!

  • In El Capitan 10.11.5 keyboard shortcut to switch between windows within the app

I just started to run El Capitan (10.11.5) and one of my favorite keyboard shortcuts seems to have disappeared: the keyboard shortcut that allow you to move from a windows in the same application. It used to be command + ' (tilde) but now that the shortcut does not work and I can't figure how to get it back.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

The shortcut is command + '

At least it is for me.

  • Keyboard shortcut to click on a button in a drop-down window in Thunderbird Mac?

I recently migrated to Thunderbird 3 on an older Mac OS x 10.4.11 to a whole new Mac OS x 10.9.3. The migration has been almost transparent, and I'm loving many useful features of the new Thunderbird! However...

There is ONE thing that I do all the time which is not supported by a keyboard shortcut, and I couldn't find anything in the Support forums that relates specifically to it. When I start an email and decide I want to throw it away, I hit command W (close) and get a drop-down window that can gives me the choice to save (as a draft in my case), not save and cancel. The ESC key active Cancel, of course, but none of the other buttons has a keyboard shortcut.

It's almost the only time wherever I have to grab my mouse when I use TB and I find this very frustrating. I have other applications on the Mac which can accept inside these windows keyboard shortcuts and really missing TB. Is it possible to add these shortcuts? I'd like to be able to use the D command to close an unsent message without saving changes.

Several people spoke of keyconfig, but we don't know if this works on this version of TB Mac and it is also unknown if it allows access to the buttons I want control. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

The add-on keyconfig is up and running here in TB 24 & 32, but to install it, you will first need to install this add-on:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/CheckCompatibility/

I found the instructions to create a shortcut to save as a draft and close the window (Ctrl-S is the default key for save as draft), so that we can adapt that Don ' t Save (although Windows, Alt - N is the default key for the command of Don't Save).

You can have better luck post this question in the keyconfig forum quoted in the first link.

  • Hello. Keyboard shortcuts in Mozilla does not include the window shortcuts. Please update this content. Thank you

    Mozilla Web page keyboard shortcuts.

  • Y at - it a keyboard shortcut for switching windows?

I see that there is a keyboard shortcut for switching tabs in a window of Firefox, but I would also like one to switch between the windows of the browser. I guess it's easier on Windows, where each browser window kind of behaves as an application separate, but on the Mac OS, an application can have multiple windows. Thus, the operating system does not provide supported to switch between browser windows via a keyboard shortcut; It allows to switch between applications, which brings all of the windows in the application target forward.

To switch between using Firefox windows: Cmd (Shift) + ~ (Tilde)
