Last update of itunes did not or does not install.  Download installation errors.  TBH, I tried so many solutions I forgot if the following was the original errors.  But is not serious... This is what is happening.

Windows 10 PC.  I tried most of the solutions I found.  Through solutions offerred in HT204275.  Then I uninstalled itunes and its related components and services (software update support for mobile devices, Hello, and 32 and 64 application support).  And folders deleted, etc.  Rebooted, restarted in SafeMode etc etc.  Same mistakes.

    1 error security file C:\... \kdrl\GetLastError:5

    2. failed to start services.

    3. Repeat steps 1.

I also tried to install the component by component after the opening of itunes6464setup.exe to winrar.

Basically, it gives me the - error getting file security.  After trying to install apple application support. 32 and 64.

Go to Mobile Device Support I selected and tried both repair and installation.  Nevertheless he gves me a cannot start service error.  I tried to start it manually, it does not start.  But it says the software good lol (mobiledevicesupport) installed.  Oh is morning then it installs OK, whoopee.  I go to itunes itself 6464.exe.  Will loop to the application supports the error.

I also tried the solution of adding permissions to a file that I don't remember now.  Also used windows install cleanup utility.

I am at a loss.  What bothers me, it's too much I'm subscribed to itunes in icloud and itunes game.  good luck getting a refund lol

I suspect that you should remove the file mentioned in the 1. above.

  • used to install iTunes 12.3.3

    I get this message

There is a problem with this Windows package install. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.

I deleted iTunes and all its components and has been able to install iTunes 12.3.2.35 with no problems.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    I am running windows 10

Try to repair the Apple Software Update of the programs and features Control Panel, then uninstall it and then reinstall iTunes.

  • What to do if used to install iTunes

For the second time in two months, iTunes (12.4) returns an error message during the installation on a desktop Win 8. The last time (March), it had to do with the cache; This time the nature of the error is not specified. He is said to use tools > download and install manually. Where is tools?

It depends on the error message. If you get "there is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. "then the usual solution is to repair Apple Software Update first, and then the rest of the installation should go smoothly. Otherwise read on, or reply with the exact text of the error.

  • used to install iTunes on Windows 7 (64-bit)

I had itunes, then he told me that he wanted to update that I did, but he said that it was an error and he could not. So I uninstalled itunes and tried to reinstall the 64-bit on the site (I run 64-bit). But then he gave me this error, "there is a problem with this windows package install." A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your supplier of staff or the package of support ". (this could also be the same error when I tried to update) and yes I used the Windows Installer Cleanup utility that everyone go and it did not work. He just said he couldn't find any errors.

Utility Windows Installer Cleanup is not recommended (by Microsoft) for Windows 7, in fact, Microsoft has removed the application.

I would contact Apple support about this issue.

  • used to install iTunes 12.3.2. App Store says it has been downloaded 4 times

The App store is trying to install 12.3.2 itunes after my upgrade to El Capitan. App store says he did it four times. When I run itunes, I always 12.3.1.23. What now? Is the app store is going to try to install forever?

  • My iPod nano 2nd generation gets disk errors after installing iTunes?

I use my iPod nano 2nd generation for... Wow little almost 10 years now and of course is not as sensitive, a little laggy sometimes, battery life isn't as good but still never had real problems with it that can be repaired by a reset. Well not until now and I have not really money to spend to get a new, in particular the fact that practically it still works fine on his own, just that I can not add or remove pieces of her more.

    The problem

It seems that the computer has trouble reading the device. Whenever I plug my iPod nano 2nd generation USB in my laptop (Windows 10), which has some sort of interaction with it freezes. For the moment I plug in, programs such as Winamp, iTunes, File Explorer (if I click my computer-> try to right click on the drive, that says all F: drive instead of the usual name recognized as "My iPod."), the Device Manager when I try to turn Apple iPod USB Driver and the small icon in the system tray when you try to eject the drop-down list no longer appears, all these programs themselves just freeze and unresponsive until I unplug the device. In Event Viewer, the moment where I plug it, it gets spammed by looping errors to:

Error: The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR21, has a bad block.

ATTENTION: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR21 during a paging operation.

So, basically, it seems that the computer is blocked just not try to read and recognize the device, which means that I can't really do anything with it. The iPod itself seems to work fine, I can hear songs, recharge the battery and other things, earlier I can't add or remove pieces of her.

    Stuff leading up to it

A year or two before, I used to manage the ipod via itunes (a relatively old version of time too I guess since I almost never update) until I formatted my laptop some time ago and never bored computer reinstall itunes. Since then, I really didn't need to change anything to my iPod and just use Winamp (my default music player) to the add/remove songs when I needed to. Today, I decided to install iTunes because there are some things that winamp cannot do as add embedded lyrics and also winamp blurs the sorted list of the song. Since then, after you have installed the new iTunes, start freezing and program I get the problems described above. There might be a chance that iTunes was not the real culprit and the disc was already beginning to get corrupted or something somehow, but I can't think of anything that's happened before this problem started.

    I tried many things

    • Uninstalled iTunes and all the other stuff related to the installation as pie, Apple Mobile Device Support... .etc
    • Reinstall the device driver USB Apple iPod. When I turn it off (Plug in iPod-> iPod poster 'do not disconnect'-->--> Device Manager driver right click-> disable-> Device Manager freezes up-> unplug ipod-> Device Manager-> thaws plug ipod in) ipod becomes simply the State of charge. Steps to reinstall is the same (need to plug and unplug).
    • Reset iPod in now the Center button + menu button.
    • Will then resetting operation rewind + Centre button iPod diagnostic mode. It is not a test disc hard because I guess nano doesn't have a disc hard just flash ram. Anyway, when I select SDRAM QScan he only says: "SDRAM OK." NAND_SPEC gives "NandLBA = 1982464". Flash gives Checksum "Checksum is 0x26AF".
    • Wanted to try as described here to check for disk errors, but cannot because the computer cannot correctly recognize and explore freezes if I right click. I tried using 'chkdsk f:' in the command prompt, but that seems to hang as well.
    • Switches mode disc reset ipod then now Center + play button. Then connect the laptop... etc, same problem.

It's a pretty old device, so it seems that support because it is very rare. I didn't install iTunes could screw up the device that it is intended to support and do anything as permanent as this one.

You must exclude a faulty USB, cable anchorage, try another, or using your power with another Apple device cable, to confirm that it works correctly.

Otherwise, your troubleshooting seems complete.  If that's what you've done for disc Mode

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

and connection to your computer causes this issue General 'freeze' with multiple processes, the iPod has possibly a hardware problem.  Flash storage eventually.  Or it can be a problem on the logic board of the iPod.

I suggest try to reformat the iPod using Windows, as if it were a USB flash drive.  But you can only do if the system hangs when you connect iPod.

NOTE: If you find a way to reformat iPod using Windows, use FAT32 as the disc format.  If there is an option to do a quick format, do a full format instead.  Once the process is complete, the iPod is totally blank.  You do restore using iTunes (if you are prompted or not), to the embedded iPod software.

  • Cannot install ITunes-no admin rights

    Hi all

My company won't let me install ITunes on my laptop for "security reasons." I insisted, but there is no way, they will do it. I don't have another computer at home so I'm looking for a portable version of ITunes or an alternative to ITunes.

Basically, I think I can do the upgrades and back ups with the cloud, but I did not understand how to download music and videos on my IPhone and Ipad without ITunes (and without any soft, since I can not install anything...).

    Any idea?

    Anne

You can buy songs from the iTunes Store directly on your iPhone (or use something like Apple's music service).  But now I know other way to import your CD (for example) on your iPhone without iTunes.  I'm sorry.

  • How to install iTunes on my iPad 2 Air

I would like to transfer a file ppt (PowerPoint) to my Windows laptop to my iPad 2 Air but I need first to install the latest version of iTunes on my iPad. The problem is that I can't find the right itune app on the app store. Pls help, appreciate it

You need to install iTunes on your computer, not the iPad - iPad already has an app Store iTunes top (for browsing the store and purchase/download of media), which is the only iTunes for your iPad app.

To synchronize content from a computer to the iPad you have iTunes installed on the computer. You have not installed on this computer, which is the computer that sync you it with iTunes? If no go want to sync other content e.g. music, movies etc. - If you do there are a few steps on this thing for synchronization to a new computer: synchronization to a 'New' computer or replacing a hard drive "crashed"

To copy a powerpoint on your iPad, you need an app on your iPad that supports this type of file (iPads is not a file system as a computer, everything is stored in the applications). To get the file from your computer to this application, you might be able to use the section in iTunes (on the sharing of files on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple supported ), file sharing or file by e-mail to yourself and use "open in" in the Mail app on the iPad, or use DropBox or copy it via your wifi - different applications network supports the different transfer methods.

(I asked for your message to be moved to use iPad forum, where you have posted is for questions about the iTunes U app.)

    > "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." The error signature shows that: AppName: itunes.exe Appver:8.0.0.35 Modname: unknown Modver:0.0.0.0 Offset: 00008200.

I remember one of my friends had a similar question. The error always appears after the new installation of iTunes.
He called me and I tried different things, I reinstalled the application, clean the OS, etc, but anything :( I was really desperate

Finally, I decided to reinstall the OS to see if there could be something wrong with the Windows installed. And that was the key of the OS has been confused don t I know why, but after the new OS installation (it was a hard way) worked the iTunes

If you can first try reinstalling iTunes, then clean the operating system using CCLeaner and then try again.
If this can't help, then a new install of the OS may be necessary!

  • Problems installing iTunes 12.3.2 on iMac

Then I get another message to say it was 'ready to ask' but when I pressed the 'Install' button on the 'progress indicator bar"flashed on briefly and then left and the indication 'Installed' came, but he clearly didn't.

I now have at least 10 messages for the last 24 hours in my box "Updates installed in the last 30 days" to say that it is installed!

  • Re: Satellite P - CD/DVD drive has been disabled after installing itunes 8

    * Help *! After installing itunes 8 my CD/DVD/RW Drive has been disabled.

It's already happened and I've restored by removing the upper filters and lower in the Vista registry but itunes then told me "the registry settings used by the iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing." and I can't seem to burn anything from itunes.

There, nobody how to restore CD/DVD/RW drive and retain full use of itunes please?

    Have you tried reinstalling iTunes?
Reinstall the old iTunes, restart the computer and clean using CCleaner. Then, you can install the latest version of iTunes.

If it doesn't work try to remove upper and lower filters again. Maybe you should do this after you have reinstalled iTunes.

Finally and above all, this might be useful for you:

  • Cannot install iTunes on 11 HP flow

I just bought a HP flow 11 and I had a lot of trouble trying to install iTunes 12.3.2. When it's done downloading I clicked to try to get the program to run, but shows a pop-up up that says, "this application can run on your PC. To find a version of your PC, check with the software publisher. »

iTunes should install and run fine on a 11 as long stream that you have enough room to install it on the C: drive.  For all but the most banal of libraries, you will need to use an SD card to expand the storage or have your library on an external/USB hard drive.  I'm running on a stream 13 (essentially the same machine with a larger screen) with my library on a 2 TB USB 3.0 drive and can even run iTunes on the 7 Tablet flow.

Based on recent reports, the error you see can be associated with an incomplete download or corrupted Installer.  I would try to download the file again - for the current version of iTunes (12.3.2.35) and the size of the file should be:

    • the file size of 64 - bit - iTunes6464Setup.exe - 167,608,088 bytes

  • Problems installing iTunes on Windows 10 12.3.1.23

    Hello

I had this problem for two weeks, I don't know how to solve, and it would be good to have help.

Two weeks ago, I noticed that after I had plugged my iPhone into my PC 5, only Windows Explorer recognized iTunes didn't.

So I tried to see if there were updates for iTunes, but no update has been published.

I used Windows 10 tools to uninstall it and then tried to install it again.

Before that, I used CCleaner to make sure that no left, files or old registry key remained in Windows.

Then I tried to install iTunes 12.3.1.23 by downloading from the Apple Web site and by opening the Setup program.

Since then, every time, when I try to install iTunes, installation work until it says "Restore action", and a new mask appears, where it is written that there is a problem and that Setup could not install the software.

After trying this for 3 - 4 times, I went to C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update and tried to run all executable files in this folder, which contains installers for each program, Apple needs to install iTunes on PC separatelly, distinguished by the installation program downloaded by the Apple because one website you can download contains all the facilities of programs in a single installer.

I managed to install all the software, with the exception of the Apple Mobile Device Support (version 9.1.0.6), who, as program controls when a unit Apple is plugged to the PC, and it has not worked since the beginning and is the one who made me do all this, in my view, is the same as the one send me problems during the installation of iTunes when I run the installation program downloaded by the Apple Web site.

Anyone have the same problem and/or know how to fix this problem?

    I have 10 Home Windows (64-bit) version 1511.

    Thank you

    A
