Hello

If you are using the username in the form attribute: sAMAccountName, then use "user of the name filter" as:

(& (sAMAccountName = %u(objectclass=user))

  • Additional portal for creating users and groups in OBIEE.

    Good afternoon everyone

We are facing a situation where a resource by another company needs to create and manage their own users who will access OBIEE.

That means that for the moment we have create users in Weblogic, but we cannot provide the resource with access to weblogic due to many other services running in the Weblogic causing a safety hazard.

My question: is there another way, we can provide access to this resource through a portal that will only be able to manage the users and groups that will access OBIEE and not be able to view all other settings?

    Hi Benoit,.

Cool, can you close the thread if it is right for you? Currently, it is still marked as

    This issue is no answer.

If you have detailed follow-up questions (which I think you will to the BISQLProviders) you can make a custom thread and we will deal with this matter else on its own.

  • How can I remove comments from the users and groups

I have my in my users and groups in the system preferences a user snd invited another user

    How can I remove them

Go to Preferences system-> users and groups, and then press the lock to allow you to change the settings. Then choose 'user comments' in the sidebar and uncheck "Allow clients to connect to this computer". This will not make this option disappear, but after that you will not be able to use the Guest user.

«Respect for the other user, simply choose it in the sidebar and press on the '-' button.» Make sure that no one uses this user.

  • Suddenly can't access local users and groups permissions list

In computer management (my computer / manage) "Local users and groups" icon has a red x on it and when I click on it I get this message:

    Local users and groups
Unable to access the computer {computer name} toa. The error was: library not registered.

How can I find which library is not registered, so I can register?

BTW, this is one of several very similar problems that began to arrive after the last update of Microsoft Windows Vista.

    Hello GCCarvill,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft answers Forum.

If you have a system restore point, before applying the updates would be the fastest way to restore the library file
who is missing. Use the following article to restore to an earlier point in time. Don't forget to create a manual restore point before using an earlier version of the operating system.

936212 KB - how to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212

You can also create a manual system restore point so that you can restore in case of problems.
How to create a system restore point manually:
Right-click on the computer icon in the desktop, then choose Properties
In the left pane, click System Protection
Alternatively, to directly access the System Protection tab, click Start and type SystemPropertiesProtection.exe.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the System Protection tab and then click on create.
In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click on create.

After the search for the other forums, I found another user having a similar problem. They used a tool called FileMon and after comparison, they discovered a file called activeds.tlb was missing. They have restored a copy in the system32 directory and
was then able to access the local users and groups successfully. You can download a copy of FileMon of:
    http://www.sysinternals.com

If please reply back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem or if you need further assistance.

  • Don't Win 7 Home Premium no local users and groups under computer management

I am trying to create local groups, but when I go into computer Managemmt as an admin there no option groups in the tree.  Aide said it is in "computer Management\System Tools\Local and Groups\Groups users", but the only options I have under system tools are planner of the event viewer, shared folders, Performance and device - not local users and groups management tasks.  No idea how I can get access to this?

I think that it is only available if you have Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition. Bob Larson Access MVP

  • Win 7 Pro - all users in local users and groups

Hello I have a new install of Windows 7 Pro with two users; Administrator (built in) and my personal user (CCzahor). I can connect to windows very well with both users.  When I right click my computer and manage them, there is no user appearing in "users and groups / users.  However, if I go to groups, double-click 'Administrators', I see Director listed, and I see CCzahor under "users".  In addition, when I run lusrmgr.msc, I see the same thing as described above, but when I run netplwiz.msc, I see the admin and CCzahor displayed in the list.

It is not functionally a problem, but rather a nuisance than anything else.  Any ideas?

    Hello

Please provide a detailed description of the issue.

I understand the inconvenience you encountered. I will certainly help you with information.

Note: Users and groups is located in computer management. A collection of administrative tools that you can use to manage a local computer or a remote computer. Please see the link below.

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770756.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Important: Under local users and groups, you must click users to see users and groups. And if the two accounts you have in the system have administrator permissions, it's going to be reflective under the administrator group.

I hope this information is useful.

Please provide us with the information above to help you best.

  • Why isn't the local users and groups in Windows 7 Home Premium active?

Unfortunately, the page of "Compare editions" for Windows 7 does not show that it is disabled for Windows 7 Home Premium.  So, I think that Microsoft is engaged in false advertising by activating only not this snap-in Control Panel.

Bottom line is: I need to access the Panel to ensure that I am in the Visual Studio debugger users group.  So, I can't debug anything.  The software does not work properly.

Microsoft should immediately activate this feature.

I'm sorry, but no original version of Windows has always included local users and groups .

    1. click on the start planet.
    2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.

    4. click on "run as Administrator".

    Hello!

The field 'Users and groups' in the page of Provisioning in TMS (14.3.2) is hardly visible. It works fine in IE. There is no way to the scale of the field.

Is there a known browser incompatibility?

Or, you could do what I did, downloaded and installed an earlier version of Chrome and FF that works.

    Hi Johnny,.

Looks like you are unable to get users and groups under computer management.

I would like to gather information to help you:

    (1) how do you try to locate users and groups under computer management?
    (2) you are able to view other folders in the same section?
    (3) don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

I suggest you to check if the steps will help you to locate users and groups folder under Computer Management:

    (a) Windows and X set button, and then select computer management.
    (b) double click on system tools.
    (c) click on local users and groups.
    (d) check if you are able to find users and groups folder.

  • How do I give users access to the addition of other users and groups in weblogic * without * giving administrator rights

    Hello

Before opening a SR Oracle for the same problem, just wanted to put it out there to see if we can provide a non administrator user access to the Weblogic administration Console so that it can log and ONLY add users and groups, but not change any setting in the administration console. We offer a personalized access? All grain specific to be accessible?

Please don't give me the links where it says "give read-only access", giving "monitor."

read only user cannot add new users/groups in the administration console. The administrator credentials can be provided to that user. It just has to be able to connect, go to security domains > myrealm and add new users and groups. nothing else.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you

  • How to export users and groups Active Directory of hyperion shared services

    Hello

We are on 11.1.2.3 and in a situation where we need to export all users and groups of shared services, including the native directory and Active Directory users and groups.

Current method of LCM export only the NativeDirectory user and groups. -is this correct?

Is there a way to export all users and groups including NativeDirectory and ActiveDirectory?

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

I don't think that there is a way to make the groups and users to the AD, and I wouldn't.

You need to connect the next AD system and pull on the users and groups in this way.
