Don't Win 7 Home Premium no local users and groups under computer management
I am trying to create local groups, but when I go into computer Managemmt as an admin there no option groups in the tree. Aide said it is in "computer Management\System Tools\Local and Groups\Groups users", but the only options I have under system tools are planner of the event viewer, shared folders, Performance and device - not local users and groups management tasks. No idea how I can get access to this?
I think that it is only available if you have Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition. Bob Larson Access MVP

Where the local users and groups in Win 7 Home Premium? I don't find it in computer management.
Elevate your privileges permanently would defy the purpose of UAC and is therefore not available. There are two ways to start a command prompt:
1. click on the start planet.2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.3. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter4. click on "run as Administrator".or:1. create a shortcut on the desktop for cmd.exe.2. right click.3. click on run as administrator

Why isn't the local users and groups in Windows 7 Home Premium active?
Unfortunately, the page of "Compare editions" for Windows 7 does not show that it is disabled for Windows 7 Home Premium. So, I think that Microsoft is engaged in false advertising by activating only not this snap-in Control Panel.
Bottom line is: I need to access the Panel to ensure that I am in the Visual Studio debugger users group. So, I can't debug anything. The software does not work properly.
Microsoft should immediately activate this feature.
I'm sorry, but no original version of Windows has always included local users and groups .
I recommend posting your question in the MSDN Visual Studio Forums , where other developers can answer. They know how to do what you want.

Win 7 Pro - all users in local users and groups
Hello I have a new install of Windows 7 Pro with two users; Administrator (built in) and my personal user (CCzahor). I can connect to windows very well with both users. When I right click my computer and manage them, there is no user appearing in "users and groups / users. However, if I go to groups, double-click 'Administrators', I see Director listed, and I see CCzahor under "users". In addition, when I run lusrmgr.msc, I see the same thing as described above, but when I run netplwiz.msc, I see the admin and CCzahor displayed in the list.
It is not functionally a problem, but rather a nuisance than anything else. Any ideas?
Hello
Please provide a detailed description of the issue.
I understand the inconvenience you encountered. I will certainly help you with information.
Note: Users and groups is located in computer management. A collection of administrative tools that you can use to manage a local computer or a remote computer. Please see the link below.
Local users and groups overview
https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770756.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
Important: Under local users and groups, you must click users to see users and groups. And if the two accounts you have in the system have administrator permissions, it's going to be reflective under the administrator group.
I hope this information is useful.
Please provide us with the information above to help you best.

Suddenly can't access local users and groups permissions list
In computer management (my computer / manage) "Local users and groups" icon has a red x on it and when I click on it I get this message:
Local users and groups
Unable to access the computer {computer name} toa. The error was: library not registered.How can I find which library is not registered, so I can register?
BTW, this is one of several very similar problems that began to arrive after the last update of Microsoft Windows Vista.
Hello GCCarvill,
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft answers Forum.
If you have a system restore point, before applying the updates would be the fastest way to restore the library file
who is missing. Use the following article to restore to an earlier point in time. Don't forget to create a manual restore point before using an earlier version of the operating system.936212 KB - how to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212You can also create a manual system restore point so that you can restore in case of problems.
How to create a system restore point manually:
Right-click on the computer icon in the desktop, then choose Properties
In the left pane, click System Protection
Alternatively, to directly access the System Protection tab, click Start and type SystemPropertiesProtection.exe.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the System Protection tab and then click on create.
In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click on create.After the search for the other forums, I found another user having a similar problem. They used a tool called FileMon and after comparison, they discovered a file called activeds.tlb was missing. They have restored a copy in the system32 directory and
was then able to access the local users and groups successfully. You can download a copy of FileMon of:
http://www.sysinternals.comIf please reply back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem or if you need further assistance.
Thank you

Local users and groups is missing from computer management
I can't find the local users and groups folder in computer management. He is absent.
Hello
Advanced management tools are only available in the Windows 8 Pro version. It seems that you have the standard version of Windows 8. Windows and Windows 8 RT have local users and groups with disabilities.
You can also check the wire and check.

Hello
I'm stuck on the computer I just bought (used). Whenever I turn on the computer and come to the main screen, there are two names of peoples, it is David with a password, the other is Johnathan with a password. I bought the computer of David and his grandson Johnathan set both passwords and now dosen't Johanne remember passwords. I tried 'safe mode', but this shows just the same two names.
Is it possible to enter the operating system or is it possible to clear the passwords and start over? I don't have the recovery disks.
Thank you.
It has an option to order a media recovery on your Support page > install HERE they are usually $17 and can be used to boot the machine and return it to the factory. This will make the machine as it came out of the box... no user account and no password.

Cannot access the local users and groups
Hello everyone, I got this error since April 2010:
Cannot access the computer ComputerName. The error was: invalid syntax.It is not really bad for me, because I used to use the cmd console.
I followed several recommendation to solve this error, but without success. Many colleagues have the same error. About 100 of the 500 have this problem.
Don't tell me to reinstall the PC because it is not possible. I have no spare time to set my PC again and install all required software. And to reinstall the PC isn't sollution.Re-register the dll or other files not work. Not work replace the msc or cpl files. Installation of the admin packs, technical resource kits or installer also not work.
No errors in the application logs, no errors in the system log, no errors in the security logs. GPO is clear. The same mistake in compmgmt.msc, lusrmgr.msc, or when I add the MMC snap-in. So I guess that the error in the XML (MS XML) parser tool or in the msc file.
Do someone have the solution for this?
Yet once the relocation no solution!
Hi Peter,.
In this case, I would say that you post your question in the Microsoft TechNet forums such that there is a problem with more than 100 computers.

Hello
I found it's an AMD program called Quickstream AMD that is supposed to do a slow connection for streaming video faster, but it had the opposite effect for me. I have since got rid of him and we're back to a speed of 30 MB + I had before. I have just the graphics drivers now :-)

Nikon NX2 with Win 7 Home Premium software conflict
I installed Nikon NX2 software on my laptop HP G71-340US, Win 7 Home Premium edition, 64-bit and the program opens, the camera sees the laptop (I can even "go down" to the DMTC map and see the photo on the camera chip but will not automatically fill the transfer software to go from camera to the laptop (I can do it manually).)
I checked the compatibility of the program (defined on W7). uninstalled, even restore to an earlier point (cannot go back to an earlier date than the original installation).
I know that this is a conflict with this laptop that I installed the same software on another computer and it works fine.
Just puzzled as to look elsewhere, short total reinstall I would avoid as much as possible.
Hoping that someone out there has an idea or a solution.
Sincerely,
Bruce

Ask local users and creates local users
I am trying to automate the creation of a Local user in ESXi using the Perl SDK.
I know how to extract a list of users with permissions to the host.
My $userAccounts = $authorizationMgr-> RetrieveAllPermissions;
for my {$user (@$userAccounts)}
If ($user-> eq main $add_user) {}
# The user exist
If ($user-> roleId = $add_roleId) {}
Print "user already exists with correct role, OK\n";
Exit 0

Print STDERR "user exists but with wrong roleId.\n";
Print STDERR "request for role = (". ")" $add_role. (''), got (";"
{for(@$roleList)}
If ($user-> roleId eq $_-> roleId) {}
Print STDERR $_-> name. ») \n » ;
}
}Exit 1;
}
}
}But it is possible for an account to be included in the local users and groups, but not have any assigned permissions.
Does anyone know how query if the local account exist? In vSphere Client when connected directly to a host of local users and groups tab displays this info, I am lookling access in Perl.

To list the users, you must use the managed object userDirectory rather http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc%2Fvim.UserDirectory.html and use RetrieveUserGroups
Joint a quick example is called listUsers.pl
VI-admin@vMA51:~ >./listUsers.pl--vesxi51-1--username root of the server
Enter the password:
Name: administrator
Group: 0
Main: rootName: DCUI user
Group: 0
Main: dcuiName: Account administration VMware VirtualCenter
Group: 0
Main: vpxuserName: ESXi user
Group: 0
Main: vslauserName: william
Group: 0
Principal: williamFor your CreateUser() method, you do not pass in the type of such expect property indicated in the reference on the http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc%2Fvim.host.LocalAccountManager.AccountSpecification.html API, which is a HostAccountSpec of vSphere
It should be:
My $userSpec = HostAccountSpec-> new (id-online 'Inventory2', password-online "aBc! 56hh", description =>"Inventory2");
$accountManager-> CreateUser (user-online $userSpec);
