  IWant to write an AppleScript (for example) that can be used as a droplet or has a menu to open a folder of pdf files scanned for OCR. And - I want to use Acrobat XI (because it's my version), German version.

  As Acrobat XI is not recordable with applescript editor and I can't find a manual of objects and methods I googled a script that worked with Acrobat 9, but not with Acrobat XI. Here, you define a "Wizard of Action" - Script for example called "OCR this ' and 'click' of the element. But as in Acrobat XI this Item is noch in hand-sbubmenu more than it seems to not work.

  AppleScript is documented in the Acrobat SDK kit. But there is no way to do it.

• Use applescript for Python Shell command

  Is there a way where I can make applescript to view the output of the python script and also accepts input so that it can pass it to the python script? My script contains several entry so is it possible possible to do? For more than once in entry and exit every time?

  You can certainly create handlers AppleScript (functions) that use Python HERE documents, with AppleScript variable passed into Python as command-line arguments, or returned to AppleScript. AppleScript's display of limited capacity, but does not preclude a cocoa of coding, or TCL GUI for the display format most of in the Python code.

  You can also write a Python application that can invoke AppleScript, pass the values on the command line values and return to Python AppleScript. This can be done through a presentation of subprocess or directly through NSAppleScript.

  Here's an AppleScript that uses a Python Manager to glance in a .docx Word document and display the names of fonts used in it. Only .docx, not. doc. Notes to escape the double quotes and back-slash in the Python script to appease AppleScript.

  Hi Steve,.

  I wonder why you feel the need to use (or what you think you would get to use) an AppleScript to create a cell in the context menu.

  With the help of numbers 3, it's a fairly simple process:

  Open a table, or use a column with enough empty cells to accommodate the menu in the menu items.

  Access to the list of items of a line in your column.

  

  Select all cells that contain entries.

  Open the Inspector to Format, choose the cell, choose the context menu.

  

  Any selected cell now contains the same menu, each set to the original value in this cell.

  If you want that each menu includes a "white" cell, then:

  Select all the cells (three).

  Modify the beginning with... pop - up 'Start with white '.

  

  Click on one of the cells, and then click control v next to the cell to display the menu choices. Each cell contains the same menu with the value initially entered in the selected cell, so what a no point, which will produce a cell empty, at the top of the list.

  

  The menu can be copied and pasted into other places or can be filled in the column or line using the handles to fill yellow appearing in the centres of the edges of the cell when the mouse cursor is brought near. The cell glued/filled setting will be the same as that of the pasted source cell.

  I want to insert a row in the table of the newspaper by each Witch of the query is executed on a table.
  And I want to insert on the line at a table of detailed log for each row changed in a query.
  I want to add modification date and time for each line in the two tables of the newspaper and I want it to be similar.
  
  So, I'm curious about using old and new variables without using for each row on the creation of the trigger. Is this possible?
  Or maybe I can score some variables static for this query (so sysdate will be the same and some of the Pavilion for the insertion of small newspapers)?
  Or maybe is there other ways to do it?

• AppleScript for the development of Documents of numbers

  Hello!

  I just finished my first 'Real' Applescript to do something that I thought was pretty simple.

  It took me 5 days to figure it out!

  In any case, I regularly create new documents of numbers whenever I make a deposit in cash for the accountant of campus

  (I am a teacher/middle school band Director and am constantly receive payments from children for t-shirts, uniform band, travel expenses, etc.)

  I tried for years to find a way to compile all deposit slips in a single document to keep track of who paid for what during the school year and I always ended up having to manually copy and paste the data of each doc in the main list (last year I had more than one hundred different deposits slip files in a folder on my desktop).

  Long story short, I discovered Automator and Applescript a couple weeks ago and have been playing with them. Who would have thought that these tools had been all the time on my mac!

  If someone (much more qualified than me) could take a look at the code, I am come with below to see if she is healthy, of if there is a more effective way to achieve this, I very much appreciate it!

  The code works for now, but if there is something or any weakness that could break it in a future update, I would like to know about it.

  First of all, if the script works for you, then it's good enough

  Even experienced/veteran AppleScripters can spend a lot of time to 'perfect' scripts, so it is important to balance the how long it will take to arrive at a solution that is "perfect".

  If you're looking for pointers that might work "better", here are a few thoughts.

  First of all, your script depends on literally copy and paste the data from the source file for the master file. I'm never a fan of this approach. All works (clearly), it is prone to error and changes the State of the system - not sure if what was in the Clipboard the script at startup has been sought, and the operator (if it wasn't you) do not doubt that the execution of the script would change the contents of the Clipboard. In general, I think it's better to reference the data directly ("set data2Copy to (get the ranks 1 to 37 of table 1...)"), although it works for now.

  In addition, your script is depends somewhat on the specifics of the source and master files. There is no error checking that the source data is valid before you copy it.

  On the same topic, you have a significant amount of code to check if the column 5 is empty. I would consider doing this check at the front - in other words only copies the data you need, rather than copy more and must clean up afterwards. Once again, the details of this function a bit on the data.

  Finally, for the moment, the script runs on a single file at a time - opens the source file, opens the master file, copies the data, close the files and closes way unexpected numbers.

  What happens if there are multiple source files to process? You can consider a loop through the files, the copied data and closing/smoke right at the end. That would save some time.

• Hide unused lines in figures

  I have a fully customized Numbers spreadsheet (which is a budget) and each row has a formula. I need to present the budget with only the lines that are used for an overview of the customer. How can I quickly select all unused lines and save only the most used in PDF format? This has been possible in the old version, but I can't find the equivalent in the last edition...

  Automate this is to use a filter. If there is a column which is filled only used lines set your filter to test for this. Filter stays off until you need to print to PDF. I have this set up on a table to report where the filter is always on. Œuvres sweet!

• How do I either set channel name of a graph of cluster or get a 1 d waveform chart to start different time (t0) for each line of the waveform?

  I have a chart single 2D out a conditional of a loop indexing output such that over the rows of the table are not the same size. -Basically, they have different starting and ending points and sizes. -Not so concerned by the endpoints, because as soon as I get correctly starting points, everything shows fall in place.

  The challenge is that when I try to have the variable t0 (start time) for each line, the wave of construction vi form would always keep each line at the same starting point.

  I used the approach bundled with success (the cluster approach ensures that each waveform starts at different times according to the guidelines of my t0 defined for each line) but then I'm not able to get in the channel names I could make using the graphical approach (wave generation) waveform.

  In essence what I get here, I'm losing here.

  Because I don't want one of my mentors, Bob and Altenbach have fed up with me I have attached a vi this time

  Attached VI shows a combination of the two attempts (first with the waveform graph) and then with the graph of cluster

  1. with the first (graphical waveform), I get my channel names as you wish, but the alignment of the wave is not correct.

  2. with the second (graphical cluster), the alignment is good, but I can't do the names of channel in the chart, even if they are present in the cluster.

  I read some reviews that mentions that attributes can be displayed with waveform and data Dynamics (not clsuters) so I guess that's why.

  I saw another report indicating the start time for a waveform 1 d will always remain the same for the rest lines defined for the first line even if changed for the following lines in a loop.

  So I guess my question is: what is the way around questions like that?

  First of all, let me be the first to the congratulate and thank you for finally posting a code!  I'm not 100% certain I understand your question or your code, but I have an idea, perhaps, of what you want to do, so I wrote a little VI who made something simple that could be relevant.

  You mention waveforms of different lengths and beginning at different times.  You also want everyone to have a unique attribute (although I'm not sure what you want to do with the attribute).  So, I did the following:

  1. Generated an array of 100-sample random to represent one second of a waveform.
  2. Created 4 waveforms on this 100-sample basis.  The first waveform (channel 0) is just these 100 points.  The second, 1 channel, is the concatenation of string 0 with the base of 100 samples, or a waveform "double".  Channel 2 is 1 string concatenated with the base, and channel 3 is 2 string concatenated with the base.
  3. In order to trace the four channels that they rest 'on' the other, the waveform has the number of the channel added to it.  Channel 3 is 3 + (4 copies of the basis of 100 points), a waveform 400-point random centered around a shift of 3.
  4. All channels have dt value 0.01 (but I guess I could have varied, as well).
  5. To make the channels start at different times, I started channel N N seconds before channel 0 (by subtracting the index of the loop, I, T0).
  6. For each channel, I created an attribute called "Chan" equal to "Channel N" (where N = 0, 1, 2 or 3, as the case may be).

  This is the plot that results. Scale X is the absolute time value (no Date) using the 24-hour HH: mmS format.  You can see that the plots are 1, 2, 3 and 4 seconds of time, and are offset from each other by a second.  I used the trace attributes to change the name to the respective attribute.

• the iPhone screen is not responding and only works for short periods of time when I use siri for an indefinite period.

  Then my phone 3 days ago started having a screen is unresponsive. I just found someone else who has the same problems as me. My screen is white and gray, flickering vertical lines at the top of my screen, sometimes extending to the bottom of the screen. My iPhone 6 s more screen shows only these lines when I use Siri for what it is, which is a little strange. To make things even more bizarre my screen becomes sensitive occasionally, but only when I'm talking about Siri for an indefinite period. One of the things I had in common with a question that someone asked who had similar problems that me was that, when these lines flickering, vertical, white and gray, the iPhone will eventually type things randomly on its own. Such as random apps or opening of the things randomly without my intervention. A unfortunate thing is that when this happens it selects things like that to end a call or facetime. I already know that the cost is $329 remedy since its considered as "other" in the apple repair options and I am also out of warranty, so I wanted to know if there is any other explanation for this. It made my phone very difficult to use these days now...

  Im going to guess that your phone is actually a 6 + and not a s 6 +, which means that your phone is suffering from simple plu epidemic of iPhones of all time - to the epidemic ic touch.  It is unrelated to Siri and tricks of the 'home', the lack of contact button that gets worse with time and flashing bars gray is the presentation of the default signature.  It's a failure level Council of integrated circuit chips that control touch and it is a design flaw in the jury of 6 + that Apple does not recognize.  You can send for microsoldering of the Board of Directors to resolve the underlying anomaly for half of the cost of your options at Apple--assuming that you are not interested in protecting your out of warranty at Apple options.

• using iCloud for photos

  Decided that I would try using iCloud for synchronization of photos to all my devices - ipad and iPhone.  A simple and way big to keep all the features of update of the sounds.  I followed all the directions for setting this up and find that this more complicated that we shouldn't.  I finally got some pictures in the library iCloud for my computer, but of course they do not appear on the iphone or iPad.  I apparently won't implement the iphone or the ipad properly.  I think I tried everything I could find on this operation, but nothing works. For some reason when on the iPad and try to access the iCloud.com with Safari, I get the message that the server is not responding.  When you do the same thing on the iPhone, it connects but it takes me to a window that says "Setup iCloud on this device."  Seems weird like iCloud is already on this currency.   Bottom line is that I spent hours too much try to do the job as well as to purchase more space icloud. I might have to overcome my 8 year old grandson to help me.
