Hi Boss,

Welcome to the Microsoft community.

This problem could occur due to conflicts between third-party applications or due to problems of memory.

  1. Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
  2. You get any error code or error message while starting?

Method 1:
I suggest you to run the memory diagnostics tool and check if it helps. Check out the link below to run the memory diagnostics tool.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/diagnosing-memory-problems-on-your-computer

Method 2:
If the problem persists, I you suggest to put the computer in a clean boot state and then check if the problem persists.

Setting the system in a clean boot state will help you determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

  • Measure calories burned when using drive

    Hello

The question I have is will be your Apple Watch measure speed of combustion of different calories for the same distance at the same time, when to do using workout app as opposed to not use the app to drive?

The reason for the question is that I read by using the training app, Apple Watch switches on the relevant sensors. Does this mean that these other motion detectors are normally off and if that affect the accuracy of the measure of calories burned during exercise?

    Concerning

    Hello

Yes - followed by an open-air market, for example, through the training app can result in a more accurate estimate of your active Calories burned during this activity.

When follow you an activity using the application of the training session and specify a type of activity, your watch uses the most appropriate sensors and data sources to estimate the outcome of this workout.

For example, when you save an open air market:

    • If you also take your iPhone along (with compatible Bluetooth and location Services), your watch can access the GPS of the iPhone data when estimating the PACE and distance.
    • If you do not take your iPhone along, the watch relies on data from the accelerometer in the estimate of the PACE and distance.
    • Data from the heart rate sensor is used during the estimation of the Active Calories, including calculations which are adapted to this type of activity specified.

Calibrate your watch also helps to improve the accuracy of the different estimates made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions for calibration of your watch (including to reset all calibration data) are available via the link below. Estimates of the results will also depend on your personal information. To verify that this is correct - and update over time:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch tab > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.

  • Satellite A100-784: could I use driver Nvidia on the graphics chip Intel

    Hi all

I know that this particular laptop uses the graphic intel GMA 950. Why then were the nvidia drivers on my laptop as well during the installation of the OS (Vista Basic)?

I visited the Toshiba website for updated drivers up-to-date, and once again, I find drivers nvidia on the download page.

What day if I need to update the drivers graphics? Drivers Intels GMA, the nvidia drivers or both?

    Thank you

    Hello

You're right: this laptop uses Intel 945GM graphics card.
BUT it seems that Toshiba provides this A100 series with different graphics cards (Inel, nvidia, ati) and so the image of Vista includes 3 different drivers graphics: NVidia graphic driver, ATI and Intel graphics driver graphics driver.

But if you want to update the graphic card driver, you have to choose only the Intel driver package

You can install it, but the use is at your own risk.
To my knowledge the Toshiba drivers are changed and designed for mobile use.

I noticed that Toshiba release new models of laptops very often and drivers that will come out of this new series. So in the case of the new laptop model uses the same series of ATI graphics, you can use the same driver.

  • Disconnected (removed) external hard drive still exploring and using drive letter - how to remove?

    Dear community,

I recently removed an external hard drive of my computer laptop windows 7, I guess it was not not ready to 'remove Saveli' it at that time. The hard drive itself is fine, but the icon remained in windows Explorer because it is disconnected. I manually assigned the drive letter Q on the drive before, and it always appears like that, since this disconnect. When I click on it, there is of course a mistake ("Q is not accessible. "Access denied"). When I plug the hard drive it is listed in another letter (E), the 'Phantom' to Q drive is not affected by it at all.
It (the ghost drive) does not appear in the computer/disk management manager and I can also not reassign the letter Q on the original hard drive (or any other - is not in the list!).
I would use the letter Q again to the hard drive (my paths and associations of are consistent) and want to get rid of the ghost car. Any ideas how?
    Thanks in advance,
    Philipp

    FYI
It's great that the problem corrected itself, but for general reference or other who can run in the ii, how to fix a ' stuck or ghost hand "is to remove its entry in the registry key below and then open a new market or restart.  This problem is relatively rare, but sometimes and still does not resolve itself.
(Note this drive letter Q is used by Office, click Run and sometimes mysteriously appears for this reason, unlike your situation.)

  • Password reset disk wizard wants to use Drive F - I don't have an F drive

Desktop HP Pavilion p6610f Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit installed Just the new hard drive and all the new updates and new programs etc.  I created the repair disk system and a full backup and wante to create a password reset disk. When I click on 'Create a password reset disk' in the control panal and I begin to follow the wizard, it asks me to put a key memory in drive F.  I don't have USB keys or disks if that's what is meant.  I was going to use a DVD - RW disc, but of course, I am unable to do so.  Why does say to create a 'DISC' in one place, and then when I go there, it says that I have to use a 'KEY' 'DRIVE F "?  If I buy a USB flash drive, which is identical to a key memory? And... I have several USB ports, none of them can be used with the USB to store data or memory?  I looked in the 'Help' section and he said just to click on "create a 'Disk' password reset. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Thank you for your time, but I already did the cover, back, vision of diagnostics and repair of disks.  I just asked why, when it is suggested that I create a 'PASSWORD' reset disk, when I start to do exactly that, the wizard tells me that I have to use a USB, 'NO' a 'DISC' and use the 'F' reader which I did not, (I don't think), I mean I know there are additional slots for disks , but I don't think I have other than those that I used to do the other ' Just discs in case where.  Just curious.  I have resigned myself to not do a. I wrote my password on a piece of paper and taped it on the underside of the top of a desk, where nobody would ever think to look.

    Problems started with PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

I ran the memory test several times without any problems. I ran full antivirus with MS dry Ess and AdwCleaner analysis.

I studied the messages and articles regarding the use of driver verifier.

When I run it, set up, restart, immediate BSOD but no file listed and no discharge minidump or generated memory.

F8 annoys me for a secure start to reset.

The only thing I can think to do is to select only some of the non-Microsoft drivers and keep trying to reduce it to the driver.

    Anything else I can do?

To ensure the minidumps are enabled:
Click Start, in the search box, type: sysdm.cpl, press ENTER.
(In victory, 8 you can use the 'win' windows key + "s")

On the Advanced tab, click on the Start button and recovery settings.

Make sure that automatically restart is unchecked.

Under the heading of the writing of debugging information, select partial memory (256 KB) image in the drop-down list (varies from 256kb).

Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as % systemroot%\Minidump.

    OK your way out.

Reboot if changes have been made.

If the minidumps are still not created, check these reasons as to why that may happen

For landfills to produce what follows must be correct

Paging file must be on the same drive as your operating system

The basic file size must be greater than the physical RAM installed

Windows Error Reporting (WER) system service must be set to MANUAL

Value file system run on the operating system drive

The value of options/crash recovery system "kernel memory dump".

User account control must be running.

Sometimes the SSDS with an older firmware are not DMP (firmware update)

  • How to use driver ODBC Oracle

I am a user non - I.T...  We have a database on Oracle 11 G server.  I have the interface with her using an ODBC for MS Access 2010 link under windows.  Now, I would like to work with CLOB fields, causing errors in my queries.  Some research shows that Microsoft's ODBC driver does not support these, but only to Oracle.  I.T. says they can help me to install the driver if I can find it.  This is where my confusion begins.

    ODBC Oracle drivers

is a page on the Oracle website.  It has links to a page of drivers:

    ODBC Oracle driver download

But this has only versions 9.x and 10.x.

Some googling has not helped things further.  How can I work with CLOB fields in MS Access?

I'm confused.  Using odbc to access or for the Oracle?  Make your decisions and clarify.

The oracle drivers are based on the standard oracle client.  You download the drivers by installing the software oracle client.  For sure the customer "run time" will get it.  'Snapshot' customer can... I don't really know on the subject.

A word of caution.  Upward to Oracle 11, the customer do not have default ODBC drivers.  You must choose to do a custom Setup when you start the installation of the client.  If you install the client of 12 c (which you should) then the odbc drivers will install by default.

Another complexity is going to deal with 32 - bit and 64 - bit.  The oracle client and the odbc driver must be of the same architecture as the front end, which is the use.  Who'd be a 32-bit application, even if your OS is 64-bit.

I don't know that I would trust your guy I.T. to install it if they don't know even where to get it.

  • Using drive vs permanent profile

I have the unit profile installed redirecting all kinds of things on a file server, but really what makes me?  I guess I can more easily back up this file server, then each workstation, but the others while the persistent drive seems better because it is much easier to manage.

Any thoughts since I was in the process of establishing a new environment for our data center in Singapore?

    Thank you all.

We use Appsense (it works well but has some quirks) and then there is RES Software.   Those are two really good companies, but also kind of expensive.   Profile Unity is one of the best bang for the buck tools, I've seen.

  • using driver Wireless z570!

    Hello

Summer get frustrated trying to fix my wireless. The card no longer works out of the blue. It seems limited, etc., while other computers in my house had no problem with the wireless. So, I uninstalled the drivers, by deleting the installation with her files. I downloaded the latest drivers and when I go to install, it fails. It is said to try to use the drivers compatible with my operating system, which I am. What can I do? I don't have any CD.

UPDATE: I've never actually installed. I had to go to C: > drivers, then the Setup.exe. However, I'm back to my original problem. I can't connect to my router when my other one can. He told me that my internet connection is limited. I updated my BIOS to see if it would help disabled then enabled my wireless card in the BIOS. Still nothing

Edit: I tried to release and renew my IP but I get a no. operation can be performed on the local area network connection, although it has its media disconnected error. My ethernet connection works fine. Wireless works very well with the other computer. It seems that my router is blocking my IP but I can't seem to get a new one since I can't renew

    Thank you!
