Using G Slim drive

I use a Slim g drive to back up my computer.  A white light flashes.  Does this mean it's over? Also, I have never eject properly.  Can someone tell me how to do?

The flashing white light simply means they are read or write data. It's an indicator that they sit and used.

How to eject, see this article, with images - http://www.macworld.com/article/3012984/macs/how-to-eject-a-disk-properly-on-os-x.html

When ejected, make sure that the desktop icon has disappeared, and that white light is off before disconnecting the drive.  It can sometimes take a second or two if the player is in the data cache it needs to write down before eject.

    Hello!

Which is a good question, but as far as I know that it doesn't have these adapters.
But you can look on eBay or ask your computer dealer for this.

And I agree with Akuma. I think the best solution would be an external USB DVD drive.

  • Can I use a USB drive to external200GB as the HD for virtual Windows using Bootcamp

Having only very limited need for any Windows function, I now do not need to use a CAD program only Windows. I tried VMware Fusion. It works, BUT everything is very slow, just browsing, so I'm sure resource intensive CAD software will be unacceptable. Where the interest in Bootcamp. Preferring to leave my primary HD intact, I would use a Reader USB 200 GB extra as the "windows partition" as this should allow everything to work more effectively.

Windows on the external storage is legal and authorized under the of Enterprise Windows Windows-to-go. Consider a small C: Windows on the internal drive (40 GB) and use the external drive as D:.

  • Satellite P300-135 system issues using two HARD drives

About a month ago I bought a faster hard drive for my laptop (because it wasn't hard drive 5400 RPM by default), and computer technicians to the store where I bought my laptop has recommended a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 250410.

The first couple of days everything went smooth, but after that, every second, restart my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) reports of problems with my video card, sometimes 'Windows cannot initialize the device of this hardware driver. (Code 37) ", the other time"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. " (Code 43) ", and when this error occurs, the keyboard and the keyboard do not work too.
I made a simple and primitive diagnosis by deleting the second hard drive and rebooted 5 or 6 times, and everything went very well.

So I think the problem is that the laptop has not enough power for two hard disks. Is it true, or is my phone begins to fail?

Sorry for my mistakes of language, but English is my second language.

    Hello

Usually the second HDD should not affect the performance of the system, but it of impossible
So maybe you should test the specifications and performance of OS using another HARD drive maybe a HARD disk that takes in charge of 5400 RPM

  • Satellite U300-14 b: can I use the graphics driver for the Intel page?

My Satellite U300-14 b (VIsta 32 bit Home Premium, 2 GB) has a 'Mobile GM945 Express Chipset Intel'. Download from Toshiba site, says I've got the latest driver, namely 7.14.10.1263 dated 04/25/07.

The Intel site lists their latest driver such as in date 7.14.10.1364 dated 11/12/07.

I want to try the latest version of the driver to help solve a problem of occasional crash / restart when Vista wakes from sleep. I am told that the graphics drivers are often to blame and should therefore be updated.

Can I safely updated with version 11/12/07, or I risk of problems? Not sure if Toshiba are just slow to release the updated driver, or if there is a better reason that they did not?

Well, usually you can use the graphic driver directly from Intel page but I found several threads here in the forum that said that the chart non-Toshiba drivers can be installed and used only at your own risk

    > want to try the latest version of the driver to help solve a problem of occasional crash / restart when Vista wakes from sleep
Hmm perhaps this problem could be related to the graphics driver, but I recommend you to update to Vista and install all THE patches for Vista.

    Best regards

  • Can satellite M70 - I use all hard drives 2.5 "?

All HDD 2.5 "can be put in Satellite M70 or they must have specific dimensions? For example, I thin on Samsung spinpoint [model: http://www.pricerunner.com/pl/36-765680/Hard-Drives/Samsung-SpinPoint-T166-320GB-SATAII-7200rpm-Compare-Prices].

It will be OK for my laptop?

    Hello!

As far as I know the Satellite M70 was available with hard drives SATA and IDE hard drives. If you have a SATA HDD, you can use this HARD drive.

The Satellite M70 takes to load only SATA150 (SATA1) but this isn't a problem. All SATA2 HDDs runs SATA1 mode and are 100% compatible.

  • Using the HARD drive of a Tecra A4 as a for another laptop external HARD drive.

I have a Toshiba Tecra A4. I want to use the HARD drive as a second hard drive to another laptop, but it seemed to me that the HDD in Tecra A4 has a special bond that does not fit in a standard externel HDD-Bay. Anyone know how I can use the HARD Tecra A4 drive as an external HARD drive?

Subquestion: is it not possible to use a 2.5 "HARD drive normal in a Toshiba Tecra A4?

    Hello

AFAIK Tecra A4 has 2.5 inch HDD inside. But the HARD drive has another connector HARD drive that you can remove. The HARD drive is placed in the HARD drive chassis and fixed with four screws. Remove the screw and the connector. Be very carefully and take it easy.

After that you can use in other laptops.

  • CAN/if you are using a hybrid drive in a Fusion DIY drive

I have seen many messages discussing the benefits of a hybrid disc vs a Fusion player, but have not seen it asked, so this is. You can use a hybrid drive as a rotation by a walk of merger? Should you even consider this? Or is it a waste of money? Logically, it seems that you should get some performance advantage, but I am not given that data out of "streams" on the rotating disc. I can't understand that having the fast cache on the hybrid would make a difference or not.

    Thoughts?

No, but I guess that you could opt to eliminate a Fusion drive using the hybrid with an SSD.

  • Remote Desktop for Mac will not use the printer driver

On an iMac with Lion 10.7.3, I try to get an Epson ReadyPrint T20 - TM to use the Epson driver when it is connected to our server Windows 2008 R2 with DRC 2.1.1 but it keeps using a HP Color Laser Jet 2800 Series PS we have not the HP printer and I need some features in the Epson driver.

  • Use the flash drive for the paging file

Hello. I would like to use a USB flash drive for the file rather than the HARD disk to increase performance on an older system. I've set up to use the flash player and the system restarts. But whenever I check, it uses the HARD drive. Why doesn't the setting?

Hello. OK, well I got what I was doing wrong. I never put the c: for not having a swap file.

    http://www.ehow.com/how_6054256_use-USB-memory-RAM-XP.html

    @greenestguy

Swap file cannot be larger than 4 GB, so no need for a 8 GB flash drive. Save some $$.

Don't know why it would be a bad idea because MS have programmed it in Vista and Win 7 as ReadyBoost. I suppose there is always the chance that I don't see any difference on the old hardware, but I do not see how it would break anything.

  • Can I use an optical drive as a drive backup of the file history?

I want to use a DVD drive as a backup... win now called historical file... by car.  Flash and HDs readers see an option, but not internal or external optical drives.  They can be used?

What operating system are you talking?

An external drive, network, or the Cloud drive are seen the best options. DVD players are not seen as viable options. Read this microsoft document on setting up a historic file player.
