  Anyone know what I have to do to use a HP M425dn without an installation of the client software? We have a Windows 2008 print server configuration and all of our other network printers can be added to a client computer without installing bloatware on their PC. We have other multifunction deployed HP requiring that any installed locally software in order to be able to print. I can send jobs to the printer and they clear the queue but they never get printed. There maybe a setting I'm missing on this printer print server? I have set up in the same way as all our previous printers and I also loaded the specific printer driver (when the HP Universal driver did not work). Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Try to disable bidirectional Support.  You can find this feature click with the right button on the printer on the server object, then go to its properties.  BDS is on the Ports tab.

  If the specific printer driver does not work on your print server, then you may be missing either x 86 or x 64 support on your object.  I would uninstall and reinstall the printer specific driver and choose to install both versions.  The print server will be smart enough to use one or the other in the meantime on what the customer needs.

  Its also possible that you happen to have a 2nd pritner configured to the same IP.  If this is the case then your print jobs to a printer of different network instead of the desired M425.  DoubleCheck the IP address of your printer and the port it is configured for the server to ensure that it is unique.

  According using VMware vSphere PowerCLI views from .NET it seems to require installation of PowerCLI.

  If you select the download updates but let me choose... option, no update will install without your approval. Suppose an update will require a reboot and does not approve the installation of an update until & unless you are ready to restart.

  You can change the AU for the "updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting. Once you have done this, you will need to approve the updates are downloaded, the updates are installed and where they are installed.

  I prefer "check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting.

  is it possible to import powercli dlls and being able to run powercli cmds in powershell scripts without installing vmware powercli?  I used

  but it still requires that I have installed powercli. I tried to look around a method with PSD1 files to import all the DLLs for powercli but finds it difficult to know who.

  You can start by searching the registry on a computer where you have installed PowerCLI.

  Check the direction of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\PowerShellSnapIns\VMware.Core.

  To get a complete picture, I'll try to use SysInternals procmon.

  Start procmon, set up to monitor powershell.exe.

  Then, start the PowerCLI prompt and inspect the trace procmon.

  What you need to do is

  (1) turn off the interpolation color option

  2) click Add marker, which will add the marker where you want to add

  (3) then right click on the digital value for the marker, you created and you will see the tag, saying: "Color of the mark". Select the color you want.

  If missing winhttp.dll, some Services from Microsoft (and others) just will not start:

  BITS service (Background Intelligent Transfer Service)
  Automatic Update Service (it crashes you try to start)

  I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

  You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

  c:\Windows\System32
  c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

  When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

  When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

  You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called winhttp when the name of the file should really be called winhttp.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

  You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

  Sfc/scannow will not replace the winhttp.dll file missing, but it will be a frustrating waste of time and a technician to support running wild goose chase.  Technical support engineers are hired by Microsoft if you hope that someone would know better.

  It's a shame that the technical support engineer did not his own advice to "check how it works.

  If I was a developer (or you have always wanted to be), or had friends in Prod Dev, I would not distract here (so you call a warning).

  I need to know Oracle Health Sciences inform build number (aka minor version number?) without having to install the product.

  It is a dotted version number normally observed in properties extended to most recent or dll, as well as files exe in 'about system' - like 6.1.0.1.1009, for example.

  I need to know this '1009' part to install the package I will or will not be installed.

  It is not mentioned in the release notes and not tied the number of patch in the name of the archive downloaded.

  I tried to decompress data {#} .cab manually to check a few binary, but it must be a new format of InstallShield, so 7-zip and deballeurs as Universal Extractor cannot deal with it.

  It sounds ridiculous that I need to spend hours to build a full blown server and installing a product just to get acquainted with this thing.

  I must be missing something trivial (but see warning).

  I'm OK with any solution - a link to the reference doc that lists built for versions 6.X or a patch number formula (if it exists), or a tool confirmed to unpack this version of Oracle CAB format is used to inform these days.

  Can anyone help?

  First of all, let me start by saying that there is no way to 'support' to make it work. Whether or not it can be done depends on the amount of effort you're willing to put forth. Remember that the jdapi package is just a door way backdoor access to features that are used by the manufacturer. In other words, it most of the problem is to know how to get these features runs without a correct installation. If it's supposed to be a thing of the time and not a configuration, you use probably once again, my opinion is that it will be easier to simply install the product, then uninstall it when you are finished.

  That said, for what he work, will need you much more than the path and ORACLE_HOME. On the top of my head, here are some of the environment variables that will be needed. These would be attached to the hull (BACK) where you plan to run the jdapi of. This can also be done in a script file.
  

  PATH
  ORACLE_HOME
  FORMS_PATH
  FORMS
  CLASSPATH (should include references to frmjdapi.jar, frmall.jar and many others.) See an appropriate facility for complete list)

  Once again, these are just what it takes to make a Builder environment works properly. So exactly what you need may vary according to your needs.

• Windows 10 clean install - need product key

  I bought a G70-70 last week and I would like to do a clean install of Windows 10. Before diving, I set up a dual boot with the 8.1 existing. During the Win 10 install it twice asked for a product key, but also allowed the installation to continue. I now have a working win 10, but he says that it requires activation.
