Cannot use HP M425dn without installing any client software.

Anyone know what I have to do to use a HP M425dn without an installation of the client software? We have a Windows 2008 print server configuration and all of our other network printers can be added to a client computer without installing bloatware on their PC. We have other multifunction deployed HP requiring that any installed locally software in order to be able to print. I can send jobs to the printer and they clear the queue but they never get printed. There maybe a setting I'm missing on this printer print server? I have set up in the same way as all our previous printers and I also loaded the specific printer driver (when the HP Universal driver did not work). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try to disable bidirectional Support.  You can find this feature click with the right button on the printer on the server object, then go to its properties.  BDS is on the Ports tab.

If the specific printer driver does not work on your print server, then you may be missing either x 86 or x 64 support on your object.  I would uninstall and reinstall the printer specific driver and choose to install both versions.  The print server will be smart enough to use one or the other in the meantime on what the customer needs.

Its also possible that you happen to have a 2nd pritner configured to the same IP.  If this is the case then your print jobs to a printer of different network instead of the desired M425.  DoubleCheck the IP address of your printer and the port it is configured for the server to ensure that it is unique.

    I'm developing a c# application that compares the GPO of the current computer with the recommended. It should be a 'light' app that can run on multiple computers without installation.

    In order to read the GPO to the computer, I used "Microsoft.GroupPolicy.Management.dll" (it works well).

    I copied the exe and the dll (including the error message) in a folder to another computer, when I run it, I get the following error:

    Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.GroupPolicy.ServerAdminTools.GpmgmtLib, Version = 2.0.0.0, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file.

    Is it possible to use the GPMC dll without the product of the GPMC installed?

    so I had linux on my computer, but now I myself bought a treat - W7 Home premium 64-bit. So I had wiped the hard disks and clean. Everything worked before (on linux), but while I was installing W7 something must have gone wrong - I couldn t move the mouse , from the moment of the instalation was started - so I thought maybe it s a few pilot missing, but now (after completing the instalation) I ve tried four or five mouse (usb, ps2, usb wireless), but none of them work. I did remember to restart with the mouse still connected. I also tried a different usb port, restart the pc and not even a simple memory card is able to load... and then I thought to try the live CD (it was linux yet) and the mouse works - so tell me, where could be the problem? It seems that there is something wrong with the windows software, but I Don t have an idea what is...

    the keyboard works very well (thankfully), that the screen resolution is still correct ;)

    After confirming that it s probably related to drivers, I found a driver CD for my motherboard (I built the computer at home with parts) and learned how to use "mouse keys" and managed to install a few drivers - after restarting the pc, (after some time) everything went very well-> the PC works great now.

    The greatest difficulty before was that I was luckily able to use the "mouse keys" and he kept breaking the feet,, I thought that it s associated with the mouse, but it was just my incompetence :D (I forgot to keep alt + shift)

  • Satellite C50-A-157 - cannot use the touchpad without maintaining the left button

    I know very little on my Satellite C50-A-157. Run on Windows 8. I'm main user/admin and all of a sudden I am unable to move the cursor of the mouse... only average, it seems, I beg, if I hold the botton left hand (at the bottom of the mouse pad) at the same time, it moves.

    But then high-lights everything.

    I tried pressing FN + F5, at the same time (nothing happens), even taken battery out back (once again does not solve issue) the arrow of the mouse/is just frozen on the page... This does not happen in my partners profile, (there is another user) the mouse seems to work fine...
    I thought it was the mouse pad, had used (as is the brilliant now), but this does not explain why it happens that under my profile/user, not his?

    If anyone can offer any help, very much appreciated... I only stumbled across the fact, it allows me to use (if I hold left button at the same time)
    Also tried the "sticky keys" shift x 5, even once it does nothing or to solve this problem.
    And entered the usinw of control panel Windows + X and distributed in troubleshooting, once again, not solved the problem.

    Because the touchpad does not work using a different user profile, I guess that there must be only a software conflict.

    Usually you can activate or deactivate the touch pad by pressing F5 (or FN + F5), but have you tried this combination and that did not allow the touchpad...
    Then there where I bit you should simple uninstall the driver of the touchpad and after downloading the package of newer touchpad driver of the page of the Toshiba UE driver, unzip the and perform the new installation of the touchpad driver...

    Once the installation is complete, reboot the laptop...

  • Can our laptap print to a network printer without installing any drivers?

    Our kids often connect to our wireless home network and need to print something.  Is there a way for them to quickly give the network printer and print without a tedious installation process on the laptop?

    Do we not have to install the printer and install the drivers on each laptop independently or can the computer laptop everything simply connect to the network printer and print?  If every laptop needs drivers, then is it possible that the proper drivers may be automatically installed on the laptop when it connects to the network printer?

    We print on a HP Photosmart C7180 printer connected by USB to our home computer (running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit) and Ethernet connected to our router.  The wired Ethernet printer is the shared printer on the network.  The shared printer has an IP address assigned by the router.

    The Windows 7 and Vista PC as well as Mac can simply add the printer because the drivers are included in the operating system.  The XP machines will have to download the drivers.   Download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

    To add the printer on Win7 and Vista: start > Control Panel > printers > add printer

    To add the printer on the Mac: System preferences > Print & Fax > click the '+' to add the printer.

    After 10 hours on the phone with HP support, service Cloud and a HP escalation Manager, I can do everything except Scan.

    After that the escalation of HP Manager allows a 'scrubber utility' to completely remove all previous, all HP printer software now runs on my printer except SCAN.  From the printer control panel, it says: "make sure that the HP printer software is installed.  Since the PC when you select the HP Scan utility, is said: "HP Photosmart series 7510 not found '.

    This has been fixed by a HP escalation Manager today!

    Apparently, when windows is an update of security for your computer (Windows 7 in my case), it disables the ability to scan your printer because it doesn't recognize as valid a device on your wireless network and disables it so.

    We had to reinstall the printer as a new wireless printer and then 'activate' it as a scanner.  After having done that, you should have a background running which is called, "HPNetworkCommunicator.exe" process Now, I can scan the computer, as well as from the control panel of the printer.

    Recently bought the Satellite A500-17 x with Windows 7 pre-installed. Manual tells me under all programs-toshiba-> utilities >, there should be a web cam application.

    That I can see that your laptop is the model with webcam and pre-installed Chicony Camera Assistant Software.
    By default, this software starts with Windows and you can see if you move the pointer of the mouse on the left side of display.
    If possible also check MSCONFIG Startup tab to see if the software is enabled for auto-start.

  • Impossible to install the client software to scan on Photosmart 3310

    Although I can print, I can't use the scanner. I tried to install the software that has failed every time, even if I usesd misconfig to deactivate the software startup and disabled my antivirus (bitdefendr) and firewall during installation. The software would proceed to the point that it asks me to click on 'Finish' wants to restart, but do not restart and continue when reset occurs. I tried at least 20 times... ugh!

    Hello jimg1942, you could try to remove the printer from the available print devices and then restart and add the printer and see if this will enable the scan function to work.

    To focus in the right direction, we need the following information:

    (a) what is you receive the exact error message?

    (b) are what application you referring? It is correctly installed on the computer?

    You can try this:

    Try to open the program as an administrator do a right click on the shortcut for the program and select run as administrator, click on continue if you are prompted to confirm.

    You are able to open the program successfully?

    It is good to check and confirm if the application is compatible with windows vista. See the windows compatibility vista below link:

    Hello, I am using vmware workstation 10 and have implemented a windows virtual xp (I am running windows 7). I chose bridged to my connection and internet mode works very well within the xp, but when you try to use the internet on my host computer it does not work.     Then maybe it's a problem with your WiFi router no longer allowing a connection when using bridged and if it is it is not a question of VMware itself.   What brand and model of router?
