  I am video capture with IMAQ.

  I have a hand program and a Subvi, which made the acquisition.

  When I use the Create.vi IMAQ to allocate say 5000 photos in the Subvi runns all fine

  but whenever I call the Subvi there is a delay until all images are ready for the acquisition.

  So I tried to make the distribution of the hand-Programm-VI where is enough time to do this while the user makes other things.

  Then I put a reference or a single entry to the Subvi with table empty I allocated.

  When I run the program now acquiring works but is about 10 x slower than before.

  What's wrong? Why ventilation is in the Subvi to run at normal speed?

  Thanks to all who tried to help, but I found a solution (unsatisfactory).

  I completely Redid the Subvi by copying and pasting the code in parts to a new VI...

• Save to PNG using IMAQ file write file does not save good Gray Scale

  Hi - I have a simple VI which reads a raw U16 file and then try to save the option IMAQ write PNG file (because I want the 16-bit format).

  I defined a custom color table which is just opposite of gray, and this is applied to the image.

  The Image displays properly, but saves the PNG file with non-inverted grayscale.

  U16 RAW file is titled "Martha 1849-02-001-6 - view0000_raw_grey_16bit.raw' and sent to ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming. "

  How is it and how do we get this working correctly?

  No! your custom color table to display the images, not apply to the image.

  In additional, it cannot save the palette as well as the 16-bit image. The pallet can be stored with 8-bit 'indexed' image.

  What you can do - if you need just reverse gray, use IMAQ opposite to calculate the negative value of an image.

  This is the DVD-R that I created will not play on my Player DVD TV Philips standard or any other DVD player other than the one used to create the floppy disks?  I tried to lower the record speed of Windows DVD Maker, Cyberlink Power Director, and Nero 11 and all have the same issue?  I can only read my disks on HP laptop DVD drive?  The discs I used are:

  Philips DVD - R 4.7 GB 1-16 X
  Memorex DVD - R 4.7 GB 16 X

  My old Windows XP machine has no problems burning these discs and they play back well on Player DVD TV Philips and all players with my friends.

  This problem is driving me crazy! This is a 1 year HP Pavilion dv9000 with built in DVD/Blue Ray recorder. It runs 64-bit Vista Home Premium computer. All Windows updates are made and there are zero viruses and malware.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  It seems too long I put attributes with property nodes: pixelformat as Mono 16, no matter what I put in the "IMAQ create"--->"image type", I still get output 16-bit gray scale.

  If the image is passed directly to the Image to get VI of IMAQdx, the type is unimportant since it is converted by the driver when it fills with data. Only the border size is relevant.

  Hey tstanley-

  CVI does not provide an API to create one of these balloon popups.  However, many other tasks to icon tray can be accomplished with functions in the Toolbox of the programmers.  It is an excellent example that illustrates these functions named Trayicon.

  To create the balloon popup you speak, you're either going to have to manage the API icon by yourself, or make some changes to the toolbox.c source code, because some necessary Manager functions are not exported.  Use this as a reference, I added a few lines of code to toolbox.c (without any verification for clarity of errors) to display a very simple balloon popup.  Let me know if you have any questions.
