Using lightroom on multiple computers on $9.99 plan...

Hi, I have creative cloud put in place on my laptop (plan of $9.99) and also want to have lightroom installed on my office, what is the process to do this, or what I need to upgrade the plan to use on multiple computers, need help sooner rather than later it please, thanks

Hi Mitchell,

You can install applications of CC and activate on two computers, just follow the same process you used to set up your laptop and log in with your Adobe ID

Note that installing and running that LR on your desktop doesn't automatically give you access to the photos on your laptop. If your intention is to share your catalog, reply back - this is a more advanced topic, but I can give you some advice if necessary.

When you use lightroom on my PC I have download the images on an external hard drive.  When I'm away from home can I use lightroom on my laptop and down load the images on the same external hard drive and treat and have lightroom on PC locate them when I go home.

Yes.  If you go regularly to several machines, the simplest solution is to put the catalog on the external hard drive file, just open this same catalog on both machines.  The alternative is to use the import of the catalog when you return to your main computer to copy holiday photo settings in your main catalog.

  • I use Thunderbird on multiple computers to the same gmail account but I have a laptop with little memory, so I need this laptop only to download a few files

I use Thunderbird on multiple computers to the same gmail account. I have a small laptop with very little memory and it runs out of disk space when it downloads all my folders. I would only download some of my file on the laptop, but keep all the folder on my other computers because they do not have problems with disk space. When I unsubscribe records in 'manage folder subscriptions' then he cancels his subscription on all my computers, not just the laptop. When I go to 'Properties' on the folder and sets 'retention individual police' these settings are not applied at all. What can I do?

All of the messages in each folder will appear in your message list. But this does not mean all the bodies of messages are downloaded, if you have properly configured the parameters of the disk. If what I described above stuck in your settings then Message body should be downloaded only 'on demand' when you click on each message.

To confirm this install the addon glodaquilla, which has a column "on the disk" that indicates if a message is on the disk. If you want, after you have installed the addon set Thunderbird to work offline, so it does not download message body when you click in the list of messages.

An allowed activation through registration in your AdobeID CC license on up to two computers at the same time.  You can install it and more, but you can allow only on two at a time.

  • Install and use adobe in multiple computers

I bought Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. for my MAC about a year ago...

I realized that I need too on my work computer (PC). I was told that I could install it on multiple computers because I bought a license.

    How do I do that?

Cloud license allows 2 activations to time http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html

    -pdf of 200 http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/legal/servicetou/Software_Terms-en_US-20150601_2.

-Windows or Mac has no importance... 2 on the same operating system or 1 on each

-Two activations on one account CAN NOT be used at the same time (to be noted in the link above of the license)

If you have the serial number of the versions instead of a cloud subscription, the serial number is platform specific

In other words, you can not put diesel in a petrol... car or install a program only Mac on Windows

  • Different versions of lightroom on multiple computers

I use lightroom 4 on my personal computer and lightroom cs6 on my work laptop. I have another computer, I'll use it for work and I wanted to use the compatible version (cs6) on this subject. Should I disable one of them? If so, I lose any intervention on one of the computers?

The Lightroom license allows you to install the program on two computers for your personal use. Each facility has its own catalogue and access images. If you want to work on the same images on two computers, it would be better to put the catalog and images on an external hard drive.

  • Photoshop/Lightroom on multiple computers

My sister and I are both students and both need to Photoshop and Lightroom, can we just buy once and use it on both computers or do we buy twice?

    not legally.

individual licences allow a person to use the subscription of the cc, not two people to share even if, for example, a person uses only ps and the other never use ps.

    Hi x0mods,

Yes, you can install lightroom 5 on Windows and MAC, both (computer upto 2 on same or different MAC and Windows) with the same serial number but be sure that you have a machine at the same time to use Lightroom 5.

  • How can I use lightroom on two computers?

Currently, I use Lightroom on my desktop computer. Sometimes it is really hard for me to get edition because I'm often not home. How can I install and synchronize my account of lightroom for my computer desktop and laptop? My desktop is a pc and my laptop is a Mac.

    Hi brittbritt92,

The simplest solution is to put the catalog on the external hard drive, and then you can easily connect and use from each machine.  There are alternatives, including using import and export to and from the catalog, but they then ask you to keep track of who you use last.

  • using photoshop on multiple computers

I bought Photoshop CS6 for my Mac home several months ago. I'm about to buy my daughter a Mac. I'll be able to install photoshop on his computer, too? Can I use it on several computers in the same household?

  • Is it possible to use Lightroom with several computers that are not networked?

I'm new to Lightroom, even though I am a professional photographer for over 15 years. Currently, I use the software that came with my camera to process my RAW files, Professional Digital Canon's Pro for a 5 d Mark II.

I've been evaluating the lasest version of Lightroom to consider buying it. So far, I like the capacity expanded to setting the image and improvements. However, in my current workflow, I need to be able to save the settings to be able to transfer the files to another computer. Is this possible with Lightroom? With Digital Pro, I can edit a RAW file and it will save the adjustments any computer, I opened the image file on. I have to be able to replicate this process in order to convey to our production department how I want an adjusted and cropped image.

I downloaded the version track on two computers, then the images imported into Lightroom. Adjustments made, then copied the images to a flash drive. Images downloaded from the flash drive to my computer laptop, then re-imported the images in Lightroom and adjustments were not saved.

    Thanks for any help.

After some research, my answer lies in the XMP file. Whenever I make changes to the image, I can save my settings by creating an XMP (CTRL S) file. He rewrote it in the original image folder so when I burn the file by hand to my production team, the xmp files parleyed my settings of the image. In turn, they can make adjustments and send them to me, if necessary. Just took some time to find the information, because even if I am kicking of tires on LR4, it was a video LR1 who gave me the information.

  • How to connect mobile Lightroom on multiple computers

We have CC Lightroom 2015 installed and synchronized on a desktop computer, the iPhone and the iPad.

But we would also like to sync it with a MacBook Pro.

Could not find a way to do it.  Is this possible?

    If so, how?

    HA!

    Hi revnow

Lightroom syncing between two computers is not Possible.

You may however share the catalog by keeping it in an external hard drive. See the Catalogue LR Sync between 2 computers but not master files

  • What the your work flow using Lightroom on two computers?

I realize similar questions have already been asked, but after much research, I gave up on the dream of seamlessly sync between my laptop and desktop computer facilities (and catalogues) in Lightroom.

I thought that Lightroom Mobile hold the answer, but this can only sync with a catalogue and a mobile device. Then I tried to open the same catalog (which resides on an external drive) on both computers, but my laptop is connected via a network. It seems that an opening on a network catalog is not allowed? This leaves export and import of catalogs, but to be honest, it's a little a rigmarole.

So, I find myself with my office and the catalogue of my collection of photos (which works fine). That just leaves me with my laptop, which is frankly a bit redundant.

I'm curious to know how other people work with two computers... two catalogs and never the two are irreconcilable? Or export catalogs between devices permanently? Or something else?

    Hi Froodster,

We do not recommend our user to upgrade their catalog on the network drives, because you could faces challenges to access and update.

If your images can reside on the network drive, but the catalog must be on a local drive on the computer or any external drive.
