  I do not use a Sony DVD but TDK or Verbatim DVD-R support. Whenever I used it I was able to create a recovery media. No problem at all.
  I recommend you do the same thing. Believe me, it will not work correctly.

  I have a huge problem with my Windows Media Player. I am running Windows XP and have had the computer for about nine years. I had no problem using Windows Media Player 11 for burning CDs using Sony CD - R Audio that I used for a long time. Recently, I met a problem that I can't solve. I'm on the regular process (by dragging songs to the list pane) click the tab "start burn." It goes through the motions, finalize, etc.. The drawer opens with the blank recordable CD with nothing on it. I tried to fire using WMP, I-Tunes, Rhapsody and I get the same results... no music. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Have you tried to burn a different CD?

  Maybe your Sony CD player does not work properly?

  Lightroom 6 trying to copy pictures to a different directory than what is Lightroom 5. That's why you have the problem.

  You can change the directory where you are teaching LR 6 to place photos, or change the permissions on this directory to read & write.

• Apple TV only sometimes work with receiver

  I recently moved and had to reconnect the mess of wires behind my TV. I guess I hooked everything up in the same way, but it is possible to do something is wrong. I have a new Apple TV, smart TV Vizio, a receiver Denon AVR-E300 and two bookshelf speakers (in more a DVD player, a turntable and a wii, but those who should not have a bearing on the issue). I can get Apple TV audio to play by the receiver and speakers however, it is not the default (which it was before I moved). Whenever I have use the Apple TV, and even if I suspend and restart / change apps, I have to go into the settings on my Apple TV and select the receiver for my audio output. Even though I have the receiver on and ready with the correct input setting, the Apple TV does not recognize it automatically and will play audio through my TV instead of the receiver and speakers. He always appears as an option in my settings, but I have to select manually each time. How can I get the Apple TV to recognize automatically the receiver and speakers so that I did not adjust the audio settings every time I play something? I know it's possible because before that I move, I never had to adjust the audio settings. Whenever I turned on the Apple TV, audio plays automatically through my speakers. Any thoughts?

  I'm not aware of nay setting that allows you to choose if your audio is played through the TV or a receiver, can you explain a bit more please.

• Photosmart c4280 print gibberish of the new Macbook Air with OS X10.9

  I can't get this to print.  It will show the page after page, a single line of gibberish for a simple print request.  The machine is a new macbook air with 10.9.4 IMac w/10.6 wife print wireless with no problems.  As does my son 7 windows-powered PC.  So I don't know where to turn.  I already did a reload of the pilot with the same results.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Since it can print on other computers, have you tried another connection on this 10.9.4 computer? I just want to see if that makes a difference. You can try to use a USB cable to check if you are receiving the same question. If you do not, then you know that something is interfering with the wireless connection.   I have an Optiquest Q7 monitor with built-in speakers.  I used to get a sound from the built-in speakers with my XP computer.  I recently upgraded to a computer with Vista 64 bit.  However, I no longer get sound through the built-in speakers.  I tried to sound in the control panel and disabled the exclusive mode in the Advanced Options tab.  Any thoughts on what may be the problem?

  First check if the internal PC speaker has by default.

  1. click on Start, type Sound in the search field and select Sound from the list when it becomes available

  2. check that the device audio speakers is set as the default device and is activated

  NOTE: If the audio peripheral speakers isn't in the list, right-click anywhere on the playback of the Audio window tab, then select options Show disconnected devices and Show disabled devices .

  3. If the sound from speakers option is disabled, right click on speakersand then select Activate .

  The sound should now be restored. If the device audio speakers still does not work properly, check if the audio device is enabled in the Device Manager.

  Step 2: Check if the audio device is enabled in the Device Manager

  If there is no sound from the speakers, follow the steps below to determine the State of the sound hardware in Device Manager.

  1. click on Start, type device in the search box, and then select Device Manager from the list.

  2. click on audio, video and game controllers to expand the list of audio devices installed on the computer.

  4. determine if the audio device in question is enabled or disabled.

  ·         If an arrow appears on the volume icon, the audio device is disabled. Go to the audio driver update.

  ·          If a down arrow is not displayed on the volume icon, the audio device is turned on. Go to verify that the audio device is enabled in the Device Manager.

  5. right click on the name of the audio device and then click Activate. If the problem persists, then follow step 6.

  6. right click on the device name, select Propertiesand then displays the message in the device status field. The device status field contains either:

  A message that contains most troubleshooting for your specific device information.

  Or

  A message indicating that the device is functioning properly.

  Step 3: Install an updated audio driver

  1. click on Start, type device in the search box, and then select Device Manager from the list.

  2. click on sound, video and game in the Device Manager window controllers.

  3. right click on the name of the audio device listed under sound, video and game controllersand then click Update driver software.

  You can also visit the manufacturer's Web site and download the latest 64 bit Vista compatible drivers.

• Why can I not use a headset with my new laptop Asus?

  I recently bought an ASUS laptop, and I wanted to use a headset with it.

  I just got a new laptop, Dell Inspiron 15R with pre-installed Windows 8. Aware of the Windows 8.1 update I logged on my account (which represent the highlights of settings I have administrative privileges) has sailed to the store windows and clicked on the download tab Update button. I received this error message that I couldn't fix:
  "You must use an account with administrator privileges to install windows 8.1." Try connecting with the user of an administrator on this PC account and retry the update"
  I am the only user of this computer and as such am probably the only person capable or able to be an administrator. Does anyone have a solution?

  you have a misunderstanding.

  Adobe Air does NOT work with a browser.  It is a run time that can be installed on your computer and used with adobe air applications, adobe air applications can also be made containing the execution as part of their package.

  One can think of adobe flash player is a browser plugin, which allows to read swf files in a web browser.

  I had a big problem with the CS5 Installer (PDapp.exe). When it is run as part of an attempt to install or uninstall Creative Suite 5 it runs for a few seconds and then disappears without a trace.
