Using the definition of a variable as a variable name

I have a string variable with the definition that I use as a variable name.

For example, it is super simple:

var newVariable = 'it's working. "
var partOne:String = "new";
var partTwo:String = "Variable";
var partThree = partOne + partTwo;

trace ("my variable is" + partThree);

Instead of tracing partThree literally partOne + partTwo (which traces "newVariable"), I would like to trace the definition of partOne + partTwo (which is 'it works').

I hope this makes sense, help or advice is appreciated.

...
...
var partThree = this partOne [+ partTwo];

trace ("my variable is" + partThree); will the traces: my variable is it works

  • Where to put the definition of xsl: variable

    I apologize in advance if this is a really obvious question/answer for most of you.

    I want to use this definition code to create a variable called color:
    * < name xsl: variable = 'colors' select "' red'" = / > *.

    I want to understand this code in my RTF model to display the content of this variable:
    * <? $color? > *.

    My question is: where should I put the code of definition? I have tried it in several different places, which none have worked: above my RTF model, on the top line of the table where I'm referring to it and so on.

    When I run the preview, I get the typical error with this key line screen: undefined Variable: 'color'.

    I work to create a Managed Bean help for definition Help as described in "19.5.3 How to create the Managed Bean help ' section of the RPF Interface User Guide Developer Web ADF." With the help of JDev Version 11.1.2.1.0.

    Thought I had all of the artifacts assembled, but when I run the message is: < ELHelpProvider > < _getTranslationMap > ELHelpProvider helpSourceExpression has the value zero.

    Here is the managed bean:

  • Date show invites by using the calendar and presentation Variables

    Hi all

    That's what it takes...

    I need to create a two prompts (from_date and to_date) on a date column so that I can filter the data by using a condition. This is how I do

    I created two guests (edited the formula) and passing values to two variables var_from and var_to presentation. In the report, I limit the query on assistance between motor coaches for both the presentation variable. Everything works fine but the problem is I need display var_from and var_to in my report also.

    I'm referencing variables like ' @{var_from}' and ' @{var_to}' but I get two columns as white. I don't really know why I get empty values for these two columns only when I am able to filter my report with success on the basis of the date values in the guests...

    Just to metion... in my database, I have values in m/d/yyyy format only. So I am able to use the calendar successfully

    Any help on this would be much appreciated...

    Thank you
    -Ronny

    Ronny,
    Drafts of answers do you see? ID wait, but on the dashboard when you set filters, you should see values that crosses?
    You can extend the syntax of the variable closely and provide a default value, so when you work in the answers you can see what it looks like,

    something like @{var_from} {January 1, 2010 ""}

    Also you can reference variables in the title, the subtitle or the narrative views if you want.

  • How to use the String with an external dispatchEvent event.target.name?

    ... I hope that the question of the title makes sense...

    On my stage, I have an external SWF loaded with a button. When you click the button dispatches the main event scene.

    On the main stage a listener can load a SWF it in a magazine called Gallery.

    The charger of the Gallery is also shared by the buttons on the main stage, who use the event.target.name chain to appeal to sovereign wealth funds with corresponding names.

    I use tweens to fade and, in the content of the Gallery when a key is pressed.

    --

    Loading of the FSV worked until I tried to create a universal function for the dispatchEvent buttons...

    The problem I have is that I don't know how to set the string to indicate to the newSWFRequest where the SWF file when triggered by external buttons.

    (I maybe do this wrong... but thought that the best way to load a SWF on the main stage from an external SWF was using dispatchEvent?)

    My code raises the event and the charger of the Gallery Faints, but then it does not find the new SWF:

    Error #2044: Unmanaged by the IOErrorEvent:. Text = Error #2035: URL not found.

    Please can someone help me understand how to make the point in the chain in the right direction? (I think that the errors only are in bold below)

    Code:

    var myTweenIn2:Tween;

    var myTweenOut2:Tween;

    var nextLoadS2:String;

    Listening external inclinometer shipped external event

    addEventListener ("contactStage", btnClickExtrnl);

    function btnClickExtrnl(e:Event):void {}

    nextLoadS2 =?

    myTweenOut2 = new Tween(gallery,"alpha",None.easeOut,gallery.alpha,0,0.2,true);

    myTweenOut2.addEventListener (TweenEvent.MOTION_FINISH, tweenOutCompleteF2);

    }

    Function universal BTNS

    function tweenOutCompleteF2(e:TweenEvent) {}

    myTweenOut2.removeEventListener (TweenEvent.MOTION_FINISH, tweenOutCompleteF2);

    myTweenOut2 = null;

    var newSWFRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("SWFs /" + nextLoadS2 + ".swf");

    myTweenIn2 = new Tween (Gallery, "alpha", None.easeOut, gallery.alpha, 1, 0.2, true);

    Gallery.Load (newSWFRequest);

    Gallery.x = Xpos;

    Gallery.y = Ypos;

    }

    Thank you.

    If this code is on the timeline of a child of the main timeline of your external swf add parent 3rd in two lines with parent.parent.

    Hello

    Pool use in your init block, you had to choose a connection pool to use for the query, so the code to be used in an init block isn't OBIEE LSQL but it is true SQL based on the database of your connection.

    So it depends on if your connection pool to connect to Oracle DB, SQL Server, or another type of database for the syntax to use in your query for date calculations.

  • Cursors open loop (the cursor as a variable name)

    Hello

    I have a problem:
    In my home, I said 200 sliders.
    Now, I want to open, extract, and close a loop.
    I think of a table containing the names of all of the cursor.

    That's what I have (example maybe stupid but just to explain the problem):

    DECLARE
    v_empno VARCHAR2 (10);
    v_empname VARCHAR2 (10);

    Cursor c1 IS
    SELECT EMPNO '1', 'Adam' EMPNAME
    DOUBLE;
    Cursor c2 IS
    SELECT EMPNO '2', 'John' EMPNAME
    DOUBLE;
    BEGIN
    OPEN c1;
    LOOP
    FETCH c1 INTO v_empname, v_empno;
    OUTPUT WHEN c1% NOTFOUND;
    dbms_output.put_line (v_empno |) » '|| v_empname);
    END LOOP;
    CLOSE c1;

    OPEN c2;

    OUTPUT WHEN c2% NOTFOUND;
    dbms_output.put_line (v_empno |) » '|| v_empname);
    END LOOP;
    CLOSE C2;
    END;

    And that's what I want to achieve:

    DECLARE
    v_empno VARCHAR2 (10);
    v_empname VARCHAR2 (10);

    TYPE cursors_tab IS TABLE OF varchar (5);
    t_cursors cursors_tab: = cursors_tab ('c1', 'c2');

  • Monitor changes in the value of a variable in a module of code labview TestStand?

    Hi all

    A code in Labview module called from an action step has a particular variable that changes its value when running vi. Is it possible to monitor these changes through for example a local variable in TestStand and display different values on UI in real time via UIMessages?

    Thank you very much!

    You must post a UIMessage during execution of your VI.  As the following picture below, you can ignore the SequenceErrorMessage string and use the value of your variable as the numericDataParam.   I guess the trick is to determine where to display the user interface of Message, in your case, the variable updated at certain times or it he constantly updated?  I'm not sure of the performance LAG if at all times you post a UIMessage say every 100ms.

    On the other end, you will need in your interface user create a reminder of the Interface to manage the UIMessage.  See the following link for more details.

  • Type of Dimension set using the Rules file

    Hello

    I tried to build a dimension (ASO) of accounts using the build parent-child and wanted to know if we can specify the dimension type "Account" to in the rules file?
    Also all the codes of the property can be given in a single column or placing them in separate columns a good practice? I need to make this hierarchy of dimension as 'dynamic '.

    I use the definition of dimension of the rules file option name.

    Thanks for your contributions!

    Yes you can do it in a rules file. In the setting dimension dialog box, go to the third tab. You can see the list of dimensions and the possibility of adding dimensions. Right-click on the desired size and then select Edit properties. Then, you can set the dimension type and dimension member properties.
    With regard to the properties. I always keep in separate columns of my source.

  • When you use the buttons to generate points of quiz - can problems with cpQuizInfoPointsscored anyone help?

    Hello

    I am putting together that a test is several sections which must give "advice" on measure to users based on their interactions across multiple slides.  I tried this several ways but can get anything to work for my needs.

    Is closer to just using the keys to generate some test scores (each button can be given an individual score for generating marked differently from interactions on each page) and then attempt to deliver scenarios advice branched using advanced actions 'if cpQuizInfoPointsscored variable if' less/more than... etc go slide....  I'm frustrated by the fact that the cpQuizInfoPointsscored variable does not seem to pick up dozens of buttons, even if you include the points in the quiz and these scores come out at the end of the quiz or the results page.

    These scores are obviously stored somewhere - is it variable anther I can go to read these scores at some point and branch a scenario in response?  Is there another way to do this?

    See you soon,.

    Matt

    I would recommend that you create your own user variables to measure the success of the interactions and then use the values of these variables to trigger the branching of fast Action.  As you have seen, some score is computed only once you get to the Quiz results slide.  Having your own variables will give you more freedom to do what you please.
