• Ask the synchronization of Contacts and calendar via USB while using VersaMail with Exchange ActiveSync push email

  East of the request to add a new feature in VersaMail in a future version. A Palm support Rep suggested I post this here.

  I came across Palm Article ID: 42600 which States "once you set up an Exchange ActiveSync account in VersaMail, you will be able to synchronize the calendar, Contacts or by e-mail via the USB HotSync cable. Would be nice if this was not the case when the synchronization of Contacts and calendar are turned off. A call to technical support confirmed there is no way to do it with the current version of the product.

  I found a competing product, RoadSync from DataViz allows me to synchronize ONLY e-mail with ActiveSync, so it would appear to be technically possible.  The problem with RoadSync is is not a true push email on the Treo 680 and it seems a bit expensive with less features than VersaMail.

  Please consider publishes a new version or a patch to allow synchronization of Contacts and calendar via USB when you use Exchange ActiveSync push email.

  I can certainly present this as a feature request.

• Can't send emails using Versamail 4.0.1 form my Palm Centro (open - ATT - on the Rogers network).

  Good afternoon. I use a Palm Centro, I just bought (unlocked - from ATT - on the Rogers network). Everything works very well BUT the sending of e-mails. VersaMail receives very well but refuses to send it. It does everything that I try to send in the "Outbox" and then tries to send only to say later that he could not be sent. The server that I cross is a pop server. He never gave me such a problem before - all the tips!

  Combining the email provider or your wireless provider?  Make believe is a provider of hosting services if a recall.  Your first post stated your Rogers wireless provider so if that's the case then please try their SMTP address.  The test settings covers only typos errors while the communication with the server protocol is another.

• Palm TX VersaMail usually does not work

  I got my Palm TX to connect to the internet, both in the Canada to wifi places public.  At home, I was able for a short period to use VersaMail to get my email.  However, this is not what I need TX, of course - I would use it when you are away my computer!  To public places of WIFI and now even at home, I get one of the following messages;

  (1) "there is a delay communications server causing a timeout.  Please try again. "or,

  (2) "impossible to connect to incoming.verizon.net.  Please check your server name entry. »

  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

  My wife Verizon account works fine on my TX.  Check your settings by going to Menu > accounts > accounts settings.  Select your Verizon account and tap on change.  I'm sure that when I created this account over the years TX, all these settings are the settings by default when I chose U.S. - Verizon DSL as the mail Service, but go through them in any case.

  Try to get the post.

  If these settings are accurate, and it of still a no-go, try a Soft Reset by pressing the Reset button on the back, then retry VersaMail.

  If it's still a no-go, try to delete the account, to another Soft Reset and recreate on the TX.  (This will remove e-mails on the device).

  What parameters of the server are on your computer email client, i.e. there delete emails from the server when download you them to your computer?  If this isn't the case, maybe the TX chokes on emails from the server.  It does not seem that this should be the message, but we try everything.

  Can also try a tactical nuclear Solution (Hard Reset), that could be the solution, if there are a few corrupted files system or preferably VersaMail.  It will reinstall a clean copy of the entire operating system including VersaMail.  You will need to save first preferably both with Hotcsync to your computer and NVBackup on a SD (plain SD 2 GB in size or smaller).

• No calendar or contacts synchronization

  Replacement unit.  Synchronization of successful restore everything but the calendar and contacts.  Calendar and contacts had stopped syncing with the previous device.

  Try to synchronize with Outlook.  Tried the Palm conduits both Chapura.  Notes and sync my tasks.  Contacts and Calendar do not.  Synchronization by default value, a time desktop replaces the handheld computer.

  No error message in the log.  No attempt to sync with these applications.

  Responsible for Chapura for test trial version.  the synchronization stops before trying these lines.

  You use versamail to retrieve emails or have you gone and set up this application to synchronize with an exchange server. Doing so will break the link to synchronize contacts and calendar on your PC items, it is design and not a "mistake".

• Updated the Treo 650, Palm Centro, unable to synchronize all the data of the device

  Hello, I bought a new palm centro once my treo 650 took a bath.  I was able to load all my previous data on the new device with no problems, but I've been unable to hotsync since.  If I do a hard reset I can load it all on the property.  The only third party application that I use is datebook5.  I bought the program dbfixit and repaired all the blobs on my calendar entries, but I am still unable to sync anything (even memos, todos, address book, make a pocket computer > computer replacement).  I also deleted my palm desktop user name that I use a new fresh user profile and I still get the same error messages.  I also ran the palmhotsyncsetup.exe of Pimlico software.

  Welcome to the Palm Forums. A quick question for you. Do you use wireless sync to get your email on the phone?

  If you are, then this is your problem. If not, skip the rest of this post. Wireless Sync disables the Palm Desktop software. If you want to get your e-mail and synchronization, I advise to use VersaMail instead. If you really want to use Wireless Sync and still cradle sync, here are steps on how to re-enable the lines: http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=37678. This will allow you to start the synchronization again, but beware, you might start to get copies of your data.

• TX suddenly fails to hotsync with XP WiFi

  TX, Windows XP Pro HotSync Mgr 7.0.2 Palm Desktop 6.2.2

  I hotsync'ed my TX with Windows XP Pro for years with wifi; Suddenly, he stopped.

  I tried to use my PC name and IP number, same result.  I unchecked and recontroler the box of the network in the Manager of Hot sync-> connections without success.

  I apply patches to Windows they are released.  Maybe that's the problem?

  For reasons unknown, my firewall, ZoneAlarm, blocking HotSync wi - fi.  He didn't for years.

  HotSync is now working correctly once more.

  I have a Palm Treo 700 p.  I have sinc using Versamail.  I get this error when I try to perform a hotsync.  Anyone know how to fix this error?

  You will need to contact the system on the server and the account administrator. There is nothing you can do by using the Treo to change the settings of the server. Everything you can do on the Treo is using the exchnage server settings to set up your account.

• Centro cannot perform an initial synchronization with vista 64

  Well, I have this centro to verizon and a bluetooth adapter and the last access of Palm software. Everything is installed. Everything sees the other. But when I start the synchronization between the centro and the vista, it hangs on the Agenda second on the list of things that it syncs. It never advanced past this point and believe me, I HAV left "synchronization" for 45 minutes without change. Then I open the Task Manager and end task in frustration. BTW, the centro can synchronize with my XP and my palm TX bluetooth sync with vista. I have uninstalled and reinstalled software Acess and synchronizations of TX, but not the centro.

  Oh, I'm a simple girl, I need advice. Where can I find the book date leads to uncheck? I know that I found in the synchronization of verizon software and unchecked on the Agenda, addresses, media one and left only email. Which is probably stupid too since I use versamail and not their e-mail. But I'm not clear on how to proceed by unchecking the agenda and with which machine to do this and to place the dbfixt to run check the agenda. I guess it all must happen on the centro since it has alleged corruption? And a sidebar which is today, I could not cable sync on my XP work with the centro... with the same problem, I got on the vista home. So I tend to believe the Agenda corrupted on the theory of centro. Just not clear on how to proceed with the fixing. Thanks for your help.

• VersaMail - 'Unable to resolve name' mail server error

  I had an intermittent but frequent with VersaMail problem when I try to connect to get my email.  Often, I receive the following message:

  "Cannot resolve the name pop.mindspring.com. Check your DNS settings or enter the IP address of your mail server. »

  I also occasionally get to my Yahoo.com e-mail addresses, is not unique to Mindspring.com.  Sometimes, often, but sometimes I get no problem, so settings I seem to work - when they want to.  Needless to say, it's frustrating and annoying, so if anyone has a way to solve this problem, I would appreciate knowing.

  Problem solved!  I had google for answers and found an explanation of DNS servers on another forum where someone had a similar problem.  It seems that DNS servers simply take the domain name use us and find the IP address for this domain name, then hang us up to this IP address.  I was getting the error message was that I had to check my DNS settings or enter the IP address, so it seemed logical to me that if I could ignore these servers DNS Dingo with their "now, I'm going to do, now I do not want" bad attitude, maybe I could connect directly with mail servers.  Your tip on how to find the IP address of mail servers in scathing them was the missing piece, I needed.  I deleted the names of POP and SMTP servers for each account that I have would establish in VersaMail, replacing them with the appropriate IP addresses and I can connect now reliable with all servers, first time, every time - and lightning -fast.

  Is there another software email in addition to VersaMail can I use phone Palm Treo 755 p for Verizon?  I can receive emails via VersaMail, but cannot send them.  I get this error... 553 authentication is required.  My email is a pop.  I read the manual and checked the Palm website, but can't find a solution to this problem.  Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  Failed to send is 99% of the time caused by one of two things. One, Verizon is blocking not verizon SMTP servers. Set up an account of the Association and use the Server SMTP from Verizon. Second part SMTP misconfiguration e-mail settings. Did you check SSL, or SMTP authication required?

• VersaMail and Exchange Server

  I currently own a Treo 755 p with Sprint. I tried to set up my v3.5.5 Versamail with Exchange Activesync, and I keep getting errors when I try to put in place.

  When I set up my account and click on test, it seems OK.

  But when I click on SYNC, I get the following error message:

  "AirSAMStateMachine.c 2214 6 HTTP/1.1 403 forbidden to request Connection: Keep-Alive Date: Fri, 28 Aug 2009 03:04:49 GMT Content - type: you.

  I already know that if I go to the web app on my palm and put the address that I'm trying to get to work:

  htpps://webmail. Fiserv.com

  When I go on the web on my laptop and enter the same address as the address is automatically changed to:

  https://webmail.Fiserv.com/exchweb/bin/auth/OWALogon.asp?URL=https: //webmail.fiserv.com/Exchange&reason=0

  Any ideas please?  I am open to using ANY player of mail. I know that a lot of people in my company has access to email using their PDA (Blachberry), but I want to keep my Palm.

  I have a treo 755, when I tried to get my mail this morning, I got the following error

  "A server name has not been entered. Please set the preferences to the server.

  Where am I supposed to put in place the server preferences?  are there useful links on how to solve this problem?

  my email is through microsoft Exchange 2003 Server

  I googled the error message but have been unable to find anything on how to solve this problem

  any suggestions would be wonderful

  Have you checked the account settings?

  The versamail Guide to see how to open an exchange account, and then change the settings for the server name. You can check all the account settings to ensure that they are correct.

  If the settings are correct, you can create a new account exchange with the settings and see if it can resolve the issue. You will need to use a different account for the new e-mail account name.

• VersaMail - try to remove a message causes Palm TX restart. -Now it is continuously cycling through reboot

  I often get emails causing the Palm TX at any attempt to remove, restart.  Yesterday, I downloaded the new version of Palm Desktop, and later, when I tried to delete a message in Versamail, it either in a continuous reboot loop.  He is now sitting on my desk restart every 10 seconds approximately.  I pressed the "reset button" on the back, but that's what its weight on its own and the button it starts just again.  I leave the battery discharged and recharged last night, but he started the loop again as soon as I took it from the charger.  I would be open and remove the battery, but I am afraid that he would start just a loop again when I put back it.  I'd use it...

  I did a hard reset and it stopped the reset in a loop, but the initial problem of emails causing a reset is not resolved...  Now, just need to restore my device... some sort of severe solution, it seems to me...
