  Vista 32 Ultimate with all updates, until this one: update Windows failed: error 0 x 80070643 for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332). Update has failed repeatedly.  I tried to restart, remove the update (even by deleting the file so it would download it again) and install again.  Nothing has worked.  Error 80070643.  Since it is not Office 2003, the error seems to mean a problem with the Windows .NET framework.  Don't know what that means.

  Looking at KB976982, I tried to fix MSI software update registration corruption issues (whatever that means) by running the automated Fix It by KB971187. Restarted, I tried Windows Update again.  Still didn't update.

  Then, I waited two days and tried again.  Even that did not help.

  I tried bypassing Windows Update simply by downloading and then run the file SQLEXPR32.exe from Microsoft downloads. Did not work at all. I then tried to run it as an administrator (even if it was already an administrator account, with no other account on this computer at all).  He started to run and then gave me the following error message: unable to run the SQL Server System Configuration Checker due configulation WMI on the computer.  Error: 70347 (0x112cb).

  Now I'm really confused.  On the one hand, 80070643 means I probably repair the .NET framework, which certainly, I hate to do because I need several versions of the .NET framework first uninstall and then try to install the compmonents, and I'm afraid something would go wrong.

  On the other hand, the 70347 (0x112cb) error message seems to indicate the problem is completely different and has to do with WMI, which probably has to do with permissions and I have no idea how to solve this problem.  (And why it all of a sudden would be any problem with permissions?)  This computer is not on a corporate network and has only one user account, the administrative account).  I have looked at Services and Applications in computer management, where there are WMI control, but nothing shown that I can possibly change and not the SQL Server Configuration Manager under it, which doesn't seem to have much either.

  Help!  Please...

  And now I also tried to fix it, just in case where, the .NET framework (Panel > programs and features > Microsift.NET framework Client profile 4 > uninstall/change > fix it), and the Windows Update tried again (including reboot).  Still no.  Everything I try, it is not to do nothing, pardon my language.  People smarter than me, pleasehelp!

  I had the same problem too, so instead of using the windows mode I downloaded dosbox and the programmaX interface. It's great for running applications in DOS on windows (all versions as far as I know.)

  its pretty easy to install just choose a directory to install to. Then to install the interface you simply point to the directory where you installed dosbox. When you start the interface (programmaX), there will be a button to the top of the upper part called Assistant. Just click on the wizard button and follow the pages. If you want to create an icon for it in windows just goto tools... create a shortcut, and then click ok when the box is in place. ;)

  Best of all, its all to is free with the exception of pay for you're internet usage.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, deleted the entire folder profiles and reset Firefox. I see that the older (orphans) article points to my router. However, I have a new router and have updated their software. There is no button to add an exception (as stated in the article), so I can't just work around it. This problem does not occur with IE, so I have a hard time to believe that it is my router.

  It turns out that Avast has a web shield that passes through its own verification of certificate https. Of course, this feature is not quite right and loses track of the certificates. Disable "https scanning" in the settings of Avast resolved the problem.

  Hello, I did a disk eraser and reinstalled everything (to clean computers), then when I had to reinstall firefox I had a problem. I play a game called Fallensword.   What cartridge has been replaced? Make sure the printer is connected directly to the wall jack to make sure that the printer gets enough energy to function properly. Remove the cartridge and inspect the chute. Do you see differences between the two falls as a missing metal PIN or debris in one that is not in the chute on the other? Given that you have cleaned and inspected the cartridges already, I would then try reset the printer the following. No user settings are lost with this reset and they're trying to put the printer back into a known working state and clear the error message.
  
  To do this reset:
  1. take the cartridges from the printer and close the access door.
  2. If the printer is turned on, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer. Then disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet
  3. wait at least 30 seconds
  4. connect the power cord to the wall outlet, and then again in the printer
  5 wait for the machine to start. Once he recognizes that the cartridges are missing, place them in a moment.

  You can give the Startup Repair to try to clear this error. I've included the steps located in the help section on all versions of Windows Vista.   Im getting the same Visual C ++ Runtime "Assertion failed" but its saying my file is mjutil.cpp, there seems to be a problem with flash player. I installed the new version and still no luck. I don't have real player or quicktime installed on my machine.

  I ran sfc and it did not help.
  I installed 4.5 framework and reinstalled other redistributes like C++ 2008 and 2010, nothing helps.
