Att/yahoo updated my email, which suggests to select Firefox as the browser, but how to get back the taskbar?
Hi, you are missing the taskbar Windows, which usually appears at the bottom of the screen? Firefox normally does not block the taskbar if you do not use the mode full-screen. To check if you are using full-screen, you can use the F11 key that toggles between full screen and normal mode.
Or if you meant the menu bar (File, Edit, View), you have two options:
(1) display on request: press the ALT key to press F10 to display bar temporarily
(2) time full display: you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select menu bar it:
- Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
- Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
- in customize mode > show/hide toolbars (see: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars)
Success?

An employer requires that I use Firefox 3. The other requires that I use the most recent version. How to install a new version of Firefox to another path without overwriting the old version?
The best way to have a version be an installation of Firefox Portable. The mobile facility is autonomous and will not affect your installation of Firefox "ordinary".
http://PortableApps.com/apps/Internet/firefox_portableOtherwise, you will need to set up a profile specifically for version 2 and make sure the correct profile is launched in each version.
http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/managing+profiles
http://KB.mozillazine.org/Shortcut_to_a_specific_profileOverall, you are probably best to replace your current version of Firefox 3.6.25 with Portable Apps - http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36 - version and install Firefox 9.0.1 that your installation "regular".

downdloaded and installed firefox but can't understand how to use it! ~
the installation said that it works well with windows 10.
apparently a detailed configuration is necessary. I have designated as my browser, but can not access to the Internet. It may sound silly, but have you text access internet through other browsers? Also, did you put proxy in place to allow access to HTTP internet on other browsers?
I know Firefox should affect proxy settings in its own parameters. Browser like chrome should be able to inherit the settings of IE.

This must be one of the most common problems that people encounter. We receive all new computers every so often, and we all need to keep the old bookmarks when we get a new computer and install the new browser.
I feel that I must be among the small minority of people who do not know how to proceed. My old computer is not dead, she's just older (he uses XP). I kept around until I have all the data out. Any help in doing this would be greatly appreciated.
I am now using Windows 7.
There are several ways you can do this:
You can set up Firefox Sync for syncing between computers.
Edition-> Preferences-> Sync... OR Preferences-> Preferences-> Sync...
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/how-do-i-set-up-Firefox-sync
Advantages: Easy to use, once set up, keeps several devices synced
Cons: Harder to define, requires Internet access, keep track of "Firefox Sync Key."You can export/import favorites
Bookmarks-> show all bookmarks-> import and backup->...
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/export-Firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer
Benefits: Easier to transfer one time, can be done "offline".
Cons: Maintain multiple devices synchronized in this way can be time consuming and possibly confuse / boring -
in cmd, I use - ms for the installation in silent mode, but I don't want to install in c/program files, what am I, I'm going to do?
I use one. INI configuration file to specify the installation directory.
https://wiki.Mozilla.org/installer:Command_Line_Arguments has more information on the process.
1 create a text file called firefox.ini
2. Add the following line, and then save the fileInstallDirectoryPath = x: \whatever\directory\you\want
3. the command to run a silent installation using the INI file, that you created would be.
Firefox.exe /INI=c:\wherever\firefox.ini
Let me know how you go.

You can check the pref Network.protocol - handler.external.javascript on the topic: the configuration page for you ensure that it is the default value (false).
You can use the search bar on the topic: page config to filter javascript.
If other prefs javascript show user defined (in bold), then you can reset them as well. You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue. -

Reset Firefox in safe mode. Click 'Help', then 'restart with modules disabled.
After the reboot, Checked 'reset all the preferences of Firefox by default'
Once completed, found three new tabs, one asking if I wanted to continue the previous session, a second Firefox, by saying: "Welcome to Firefox".
And a third with the title, "Web Developer installed"
By clicking on the tab took me to: http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/installed/11/ saying "the Extension Web Developer has been successfully installed."
The new Web site, which also requested donations, seems not related to Firefox. Anyway, nobody has ASKED MY PERMISSION to install
AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE EXTENSION NOT DESIREE AND WHAT ELSE IT CAN DO WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
I DO NOT FAULT Chris Pendrick 'extension' on my computer, but do not know how to remove/uninstall completely.
Can anyone help?

When I signed up Firefox, this morning, I received notification that an important security update must be installed. When I installed it, a window will appear showing the addons that were not supported in this new version. One of them was the Norton Toolbar. I rely on the part Identity Safe on the toolbar to provide me with sign auto to frequently visited Web sites. How can I return this function?
Norton has published an update to make their modules to work with the new version of Firefox. Click on this link for more information:

Adobe Application Manager installed 20/05/2013 without Permission
Of course, there are other threads on Adobe Application Manager (AAM) and many unhappy customers. Yet the saga continues?
My apologies if this question seems redundant to you, but reading through the existing threads I find conflicting messages, the lack of information as to why the MAA is necessary and some apparent problems after using the cleaning tool Creative Suite to remove "Installer of creative cloud". I'm not looking forward to my PC having problems. So I'd be thankful some answers straight forward please, so I am well informed and can make the right decision for me!
My o/s; Win 7 64 bit Home Premium
Adobe products installed:
Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard (installed Sept 2008)
Photoshop Elements (installed in January 2013) 11
First items 11 (installed in January 2013)
Adobe Flash Player 11
That's all I need and I didn't ask for all applications of "creative cloud." nor do I intend to do. So why after all this time Adobe installed on my PC AAM - may 2013 (I see messages about this back in 2012)? I received updates very well. Has been notified of new updates this week, normally accept (nothing noting something extra) and low and behold there is a new "Adobe Application Manager" program, which took forever to launch after the fact only to eventually introduce a login screen. God knows what he was doing in the background... and it better NOT have been installing the evaluation version!
I spoke with a representative of Adobe C/S. He told me that this is how Adobe has chosen to distribute the updates now and in the future. Despite my distress and the desire to uninstall it, he took the trouble to introduce me to the cleaning tool until I mentioned to see it here in the forums. Then he pretty much abandoned my concerns with nothing else to do for me. Who does Adobe think of their customers?
My Questions:
(1) is AAM required to receive updates that I used to receive for the applications that I installed?
(2) not "Creative Suite Cleaner tool" completely uninstall "Adobe Application Manager" by choosing "Creative Cloud Installer"?
(3) Will Adobe sneak this MAO on my PC again during future updates after installation?
(4) my Adobe apps is regarded as 'CC' applications uninstall before removing the "Creative Cloud Installer?
lack of information as to why the MAA is necessary
This is the program that adobe uses to give users their updates/upgrades of our days. It is therefore very important to have this working properly.
You need the Application Manager, you can't get around it (as I know). And no, new trial software does NOT automatically get installed. Adobe has not yet addressed this bass. (But they can if they want... parts just reading the EULA)
11.4 the software may automatically download and install updates from Adobe. These updates are designed to improve and develop the Services and may take the form of bug fixes, enhanced functions, new software modules and completely new versions. As part of your use of the Services, you agree to receive such updates (and permit Adobe to deliver to you, with or without your consent).
Your questions:
(1) Yes, very necessary. Do NOT uninstall it.
(2) no idea. But I recommend to use it.
(3) Yes, because this is the app that will update all your programs when there are updates available.
(4) I'm not quite sure what you mean. But if you have not done anything yet, you should be fine as is. Don't worry the MAO.
