  Lenovo customer service/tech support I asked this question several times, each to give me an answer to 1066 mhz.

  What is the maximum SPEED for the RAM/memory usable by the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450 processor?

  But what is the maximum speed of the ram? I thought that the maximum allowance is 1 066 mhz due to the site, despite the AMD website, saying that the E450 can manage 1333 mhz.

  Increase RAM speed will give you nothing IF the machine does not support a lower speed. Yes, the pc2-8500 RAM may work but as above, unless they are cheaper or no point to buy.

I was wondering what was the maximum speed of RAM supported by the BIOS. I'm hoping to upgrade to Kingston HyperX 2133 MHz SODIMM 2x8GB DDR3L, but I heard that if the laptop BIOS does not support the higher speed, it is just downclocked.   While you can install modules DIMM 800 Mhz, the machine will always operate at 667 Mhz.

  Max RAM 2 x 4 Go PC3-1333 (PC3-10600) is.  You can install PC3-12800, but as see you in the manual it will only work at 1333 MHz because that is the maximum speed of the any of the installed processors.

  A single chip of 8 GB not working, leave the two alone.
