V313w INK?

I have a V313w printer, its 7 months old and all functions are working very well.

A couple of days, I printed some photos on Kodak 6 x 4 photo paper and the results have been disastrous, as long as the ink NEVER dries

even after 5 days, the ink was still wet.

So my question (s) was/is do I need special photographic ink or do I need to use photographic paper Dell, if there is such a thing?

I have always used HP printers and have had no problems with printing photos, but I thought I'd give Dell a try because I have a desktop Dell Dimesion 9100.

Dell has a Photo cartridge for most their printers. I printed some photos on my printer, but simply print as I do a document.

It's actually cheaper to go to a place that you can download the image from a flash drive and get them printed. The cost of paper and ink, you get better results from one place of the photo.

    Hey people... my Dell V313w three-in-one printer does not print black... According to the printing preferences I tick the box 'print using only color ink' to get black ink print. The default is "Print using all available ink"... When this is checked, ink black is not printing, only the color. The black ink cartridge is NOT empty. I see via google and other online forums, the problem of no black ink printing is common with this model of printer. There is no pop up indicating errors or messages. No message on display at the front of the printer. I do not use any device to print wireless... I have a USB cable for data transfer. Any ideas?

    I usually recommend shaking the cartridges Dell series before putting back them in place.

    The printer does not recognize the cartridge ink, or only in one colour prints

    If it was the cartridge supplied with the printer, it may be possible, the cartridge may have dried up inside or the sensor has failed.

    After installing new cartridges my printer will print test and scanned images in color pages, but not the images of my office, including full-color documents. I tried several deep clean, reboot, and reinstall the cartridges with no luck. My ink level is nearly full, shows a strong wireless signal, and I get no error message. I'm no computer wiz and have no idea what else to try. I'm about to take on the back for a bit of target practice. If anyone can check it?

  • V313w - printer does not accept refilled ink cartridges

    I added ink to my black cartridge in series 21. When I try to print I get a message: "your black ink can be below the level required for quality printing" it gives two options: "I now replaced my ink cartridges and want to continue to print" or "I want to print using only color ink. If I choose the first option nothing happens and the same window opens again. Is it possible to replace the printer and do accept and print with the black ink cartridge refilled? Thank you.

    This limitation has been annoys me because I bought this printer 3 years ago. I now have a sucessful "solution of workaround for the error message"will not print until the cartridge is changed". You will finally get this message on the printer screen if you keep printing with a low ink cartridge, or THINK that the printer is low. That is to say the number of 'fuse' for the cartridge was triggered and he will recognize is no longer as usable cartridge. This is just a ploy to make you buy ink and prevent you re-charging of your cartridge, under the guise of "we don't want you to compramise print in ink of inferior quality. As if you don't know if the print quality was deteriorating.

    Workaround: replace the cartridge and print a few pages. THEN go into the Printers page PROPERTIES and chose the "ADVANCED" tab, then click on the button "PRINT PROCESSOR". Change the print processor FROM: "Dell V313" to "WinPrint". Then change the Data Type defaults to: "RAW [FF Auto]. Click SAVE. This derivation of the Dell software and send jobs directly to the printer, bypassing the "fuse". And he does a good job of keeping the original formatting of the document. I used this summer for more than a year on the SAME black cartridge I have re-filled several times with success. Once in a blue moon - the formatting is not correct.   • Cannot print anything in color, except for the ink-jet printer test page

    All prints black and white with the exception of when I print a test page for the printer itself (Dell v313).  Had no problems with it.  I called Dell and they want $129 to 'fix' my Windows problem.  No errors.  Have full ink cartridges.  Also recently installed drivers and firmware for the printer, thinking that might solve the problem.

    I had a printer P513w for which I have replacement series 22 Dell cartridges. I have now bought a V313w who seems to have the same print as the P513 head.

    I note, however, that the cartridges are labeled "series 21" for the V313w and "series 22" for the P513w. "." As these cartirdges are quite expensive is it possible to use the series 22 and 21 interchangeably? I also notice that the other cartridges are humbered series 24, they seem to work in series 22 P513w print head.

  • Reference Dell V313w does not print

    First of all I apologize if it is redundant. I spent countless hours scouring the web for answers and have not found anything to solve my problem. I looked in the forums as best as I can, but nothing helped. I'm having a problem with a Dell V313w while one that seems common, and yet I've seen no concrete answers for this problem. Basically what is happening, is that the printer seems not to get the message that there is a print job. It will print say once and then when I go to print another document he'll sometimes sounds like its going to print but only it noting. The document stuck in queue, and I have to restart the computer to clean. I did all the recommended steps, stop and start the coil manually, run the command to stop and re started the coil. I deleted all the anti virus, deleted and reinstalled the printer as a device and have updated the firmware from dell. Nothing seems to work. The copy function works fine so I know not peripheral t it will be printed. It is the communication of the computer to the printer. I have enabled all ports USB to continue to supply electricity and the problem occurs without the PC goes into hibernation mode. My PC is a Dell Inspiron 570 running on Windows 7 64 bit with an AMD Athlon II processor. Any help would be appreciated until I throw this printer into the wall. Thank you, Eric

    My sister yesterday failed to get a boarding pass printed. She got the first page printed and then stumbled on this issue. It has restarted the computer, and then on printing the page, it would not print black ink even if there is black ink.

    I have been using printers in my life and this model printer, quite frankly, is the worst model I had the misfortune to have had. I had like an hour with my laptop and intend to throw if I can't get this problem to be solved permanently.

After the reboot, the fonts on most of the pages in Firefox and my word processing program, (StarOffice not MS Word), light, incomplete, appearance part of the letter low while the rest is dark. Looks like, what I can only describe as, a printer on insufficient ink. I tried to increase the font size, reboot again.

    I suspect the problem with Windows and not Firefox but I'm lost as to how to correct the problem, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
