• simultaneous reading and writing on a PDM file

  I found similar discussions on here, but none that satisfied my problem. I'm running several loops within a vi, which writes data in a permanently .tdms file. Another loop to finish its task from the start in a test, and I want to transition this loop so that it accesses the file writing and started writing on a network. It also enables me to check that the data is being stored in the file and that it is corrupt.

  I started with just the basics, but when I pass the second loop to read the file that is is always written off mistakes, saying that she met at the end of the file. It does if I put the count 1, -1 or anything in between. It illuminates, however, the end of the file output.

  I have the entry in the file tdms on PDM read wired to a local variable, just as I do writing PDM, they all have both read the same thing and I get an iterations of a data value of the reading, so, apparently, file access is no problem.   In the VI attached labview 8.5, I try to write data to a digital i/o port and at the same time monitoring the status of this port.  I think that this should be possible, but I don't know how to code.  If it possible, I would like to know what I'm doing wrong to my VI.

  Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of NOR. It sounds like what you are wanting to do is the comparison of hardware. This is only possible with our boards PXI-6551 and PXI-6552. An option for you is for wire you to the digital output to another digital line and then measure your signal on the other digital line. I have attached three files, two examples of the expedition, we do a digital writing and the other a numeric reading. The third file (Digital Input Output) is a combination of writing a digital port and then followed another port. All you have to do is wire ports to one another.

  I want to use a PCI-6143 or 6133 to acquire permanently synchronized values ports analog, digital, and counter on the same device.

  I use vb.net to build an application that reads the values of the device buffer and stores them in lists for later use.

  By reading some other threads I discovered, that all the S series devices are able to use a source of material for the release of the digital ports.

  Here are two among them? What meter ports, they suffer from the same problem?

  Software trigger is no option because the sampling rate must be accurate.

  6143 does not support Correlated DIO (i.e. clocked by the hardware), the 6133 (see-> digital I/o--> Timing). As a result, synchronized doing of entry works with the latter. Acquisition of meter in the buffer is available on both devices. The 6133 also authorizes analog and digital triggering.

  To synchronize these tasks, you need to export a clock signal (sample clock HAVE for example) and take to the DIOs and counters for an acquisition in the buffer. An example for synchronization of AI and DI is given once you install the DAQmx driver in the folder when you are using Windows XP. Maybe you can start with that and gradually add your features.

• simultaneous reading and writing files TDMS

  A customer had a program written in 8.6; the programmer is no longer available and I'm looking to debug intermittent problems.

  N - channels of data is acquired and streamed to a PDM file. The operator can select a channel to view data in real time, but the display is one scope table displaying 15 seconds worth of data and when switching of channels the program "returns" display with the last 15 seconds of a data value of the new string (barrier data extracted from the TDMS file).

  What I notice here, aside from using sloppy cluster error, is that both references are open in the file - one for writing data and the other for recovery data. Is this a good practice? is it necessary or one reference supports the reading and writing? Is this a possible source of problems?

  You can do the same thing with a single file reference.

  The issue of not being able to see the data that was written after the reading of reference has been opened is known for having refnums to open in two different processes, but not in the same executable or VI.

  Hello

  I have a map of cDAQ DIO 9375 on a slot 4 chassis USB. My question is the card can be configured to perform simultaneous reading and writing? All channel and task VI DAQmx want to read or write. My goal is to be able to use a digital output to trigger a WEAR and use one of the digital inputs to read an output of the object to measure. I know that I can start and stop digital tasks to perform my test, but I was wondering if I am missing the mark in some way.

  Sorry, I made a mistake in my post original (I blame my lunch to distract me) when I did believe you could do a task timed by the material and a demand.  You can either make on request of materially call GOLD a tasks tasks in one sense.  This means that if you want to DI and DO, you need to use two modules or on demand.

  I'm reading simultaneously ongoing tensions between two Keithley 2000 s. As it is right now, I've initialized just the two Keithleys, put them both to read DC voltage, wait for a trigger on the Panel before (a simple OK button), read data and write it to a table. Subsequently, the data in the table are written to a text file. The problem is that the tensions are played one after the other instead of at the same time. How can I fix my code or what else do I need to do? I am attaching my code so far. Thank you.

  You can't do a simultaneous reading. Need to trigger both instruments at the same time. Then do sequential playback.

• How to control two channels of simultaneous functions AFG 3200 B generator?

  The AFD 3200 B function generator has two channels. I want to use both channels generations some vague simultaneous sin. I downloaded the labview driver: Tektronix AFG 3000 Series.

  I did three things:

  (1) try to connect to two channels in VI.

  However, all the screws of example do not support the connection of the name of two channels simultaneously.

  (2) run only two signals generating VI with another name for channel at the same time.

  However, a single channel runs after the other.

  Do you have any suggestions?

  Hey Wu,.

  You need two sine waves to be completely synchronized (aka having the same exact phase)?

  If they must be synchronized, then the AFG should on the two output channels at the same time, but you will probably need to configure serial in your program.

  If they do not need to be synchronized, then is there a reason why you would not be able to simply divided between the output signal two BNC? If this isn't an option, then you will probably need to make some kind of trigger to get both channels to start at the same time.

  May a SocketChannel simultaneously read and write?

  Yes. TCP/IP is a full-duplex protocol and therefore its Java application. Two of them.

  The only exception I know is weird where you use a SocketChannel in blocking via channels flow mode. These are internally synchronized probably on the channel itself, or at least a common object, so the reads and writes are synchronized between them. It is clearly a bug.

  Have you read your license agreement? The last is at http://www.ni.com/legal/license/ if you have deleted the local copy.

  The license for LabVIEW for windows does not include a license for LabVIEW for Mac, so you would need a virtual machine Windows on the Mac.

  • Is this always true?

  • Is true even if the node are not related to a user control (e.g., an accessor for a field of private data in a class)?

  • How much of a penalty that is? Everyone has ever measured it?

  • It is convenient to use a node property with terminals 2 + to access the fields 2 +.  Is - this comfort outweighs the drop in performance?

  • Are there any books or other documents explaining all this?

  That's only true property nodes that run in the user interface thread, such as those that refer to elements of façade. Executing an accessor LVOOP via a property node is just syntactic around a standard call from VI and don't force a switching of threads. I remember reading that there is a slight difference in this read accessors run always in the order due to management errors, but I can't find this post in a quick search.

  Hello world!  I tried to program an oscilloscope using the Labview software and acquisition of data USB-6009.  It will be very soon, but I can't seem to set the rate of acquisition of data at the correct speed.  Let me show you what I mean:

  Frequency: precise

  Limit: 5 Hz

  Explanation: "[0.1 dt] is 10 Hz.  Therefore Nyquist function, 5 Hz is the highest frequency that you can enjoy.  Anything more than that will alias down in the 0-5 Hz range. "- Crossrulz

  Limit: 500 Hz

  Explanation:? The frequency seems to be dividing by dt at some point.

  

  I like for this oscilloscope simultaneously read faster than 5 Hz and be precise.  Here's my block diagram if someone would be willing to take a look:

  You run the examples that come with LabVIEW? STOP using the 1 sample DAQmx Read. Right-click on it, and change the type. The other mistake would come if you have changed the similar to the task. Delete this part because you don't use it.

  I read the specification, and there is a line that says:

  When I tried to read 3 channels with sample rate 1 MECH. / s I have error: "Conversion ADC tried before the prior conversion was complete.
  I did some tests and it seems 500KS/s is maximum for 4 channels and 250 kech. / s max for 8.

  Am I missing something or is this how it works?

  aggregate refers to the total number of samples.

  This card uses a multiplexer to switch AD converter between the channels. SO not really simultaneous reading!
