  I get the following error when I run this business rule specifically.
  
  Details: cannot calculate. Essbase Error (1042017): network error: the client or the server timed out while waiting to receive data by using TCP/IP.  Check the network connections.  Increase the values NetRetryCount or NetDelay in the ESSBASE. CFG file. Update this file on the client and the server.  Restart the client, and then try again.
  
  I don't understand this error with any other rule. I checked the solution provided in this link

  The rule that I run is

  The functions in the above rule will not be replaced as below

  If I hard code and run, I do not get this error. Help, please.

  The reason why it works when you hard code and why it does not use when the UDA is simply that you should never have a multiple responses in a dimensional cross. Function @UDA returns multiple responses. Although in your case he brings only one I think it fires the calculation.   When users run HBRs in planning, the same user Essbase is always used. I thought that planning used the user specified in the data source configuration, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

  When a user runs a business rule in planning this specific user will contact HBR and the user essbase defined in the application data source will communicate with essbase.
  It should also propose that in hbrlaunch.log the user HBR and essbase user.

  Just to be sure I did a quick test and changed the essbase user in the data source, restarted the planning. logged on as a user and ran a business rule, the newspaper showed the essbase user, that I've changed in the data source.

  I am currently test and adjustment of performance of business rules in Hyperion Planning 9.3.1. I started a business rule in the Regional service Console that ran a lot too long so I decided to stop it manually. But after this manual stop when I try to refersh Essbase of Hyperion Planning (Administration > manage the database > database update) I get the following error:
  
  + com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: impossible to restructure. There are other active users on the database [%s] (1013101).
  
  I remember having forced company rule stops earlier in other Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 deployments and they did not generate such errors. So could you help me on how to stop Hyperion Planning of this error after manual business rule stops because it's very likely I'll have do them in the future? Thank you very much!

  Check if the membername formulated in the formula corresponds with the name of the Member present in the outline.
