Validation for Windows.

I recently got a virus on the computer and had to do a reinstall of the Windows XP program. Security Essentials was already on my computer the virus before and now that I've downloaded the cd and was able to download service pack 3 Windows my red icon... now it is yellow, and the rest is to get a validation to have green again. It won't let me uninstall essentials security and when I try to download it, the message is that security essentials is already running on this computer. How to validate it with windows again?

The only problem I see in your report is that Office displays a cryptographic error - usually better resolved by uninstalling it, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

How certain are rid you that you the system of malware?

I suggest an analysis offline with something like Windows Defender Offline - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/what-is-windows-defender-offline/

Regarding the uninstall of the current ESM - see here (note, there is a link to another article if your version is different)

Here are all LEGAL for Vista:

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • How can I get a key product validation for Windows XP to the OEM of Vista Business downgrade, which came with my laptop?

I recently bought an Asus laptop that came with a genuine product key Vista Business OEM. I want to downgrade to XP and have installed a copy of XP OEM for this purpose I have found information on the internet indicating that I would be able to contact Microsoft, explain my desire to downgrade, to provide them with my Vista Business product key, and they would provide me a product key for XP, I could then use to activate the copy of XP I have installed.

However, it seems that it is more possible, because all the support activation is automated, and I was able to get a Microsoft service on the phone representative to activate my new installation of XP. How can I do to receive a product key for XP and activation of my installation?

    Thank you

    Scott

Thanks for the replies, you two! I called Asus, and they said that, since they do not recommend the downgrade, they do not downgrade disks provide, or provide for XP Pro license keys in case a user wants to downgrade. I told them about the rights of download, which I had heard before on the MS site support and they have always said they wouldn't / couldn't provide me with a license key, even if it was for OEM Windows XP distribution. Ah, well!

I don't think that Asus just "recommended" it or not!

    They must conform to Microsoft.

Yes. Right of demotion OEM desktop operating systems PC apply to Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Edition full, as stated in the terms of the license. Please note, downgrade versions OEM Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Ultimate are limited to Windows XP Professional (including Windows XP Edition Tablet PC and Windows XP x 64 edition). Use of degraded operating system is governed by the Windows Vista Business license terms, and the end user cannot use the downgrade and professional Windows Vista operating system. There is no right of demotion for Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

    mcnoxv,

R151906. EXE has only infs for Windows 2000/XP/Vista. They are not installed in Windows 8. It will not write the INF from Windows 7/8/8.1 files for a monitor released in 2007. Windows 7/8/8.1 will load its generic PNP driver for the monitor and you should be able to do the standard screen resolution, 1440 x 900 at 60 Hz.

I ring back again and get an operator who actually knows what they are doing - XP is still supported for activation problems, regardless of the level of MS, if I understand correctly.
Your problem seems to be that you have installed a version update of XP without having anything to upgrade? (I don't think that was possible).
Try to install the missing Service Packs - any attempt activation again.

  • Need to roll back an installation of Windows 7 for Windows Vista

I started with a Windows Vista computer that I wanted to update to Windows 7.

The installation went well until it got to the point where he asked me a product key. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, but I think that my product key is no longer valid for Windows 7 Premium. So I want to go back to Windows Vista (and I have a Setup for this disk), but now I can't go to a command prompt or anything.

Maybe there is a way to boot / install from the disc, but I have not found.

If you want to stay on Windows 7, we can help you do it if you can provide us with this type of product key you have:

    • Button upgrade: comes with media upgrade Windows 7, intended to upgrade the previous operating system only. Cannot be used to install Windows on a blank hard drive.
    • Key Standalone: comes with the full version of Windows 7, which can be used to upgrade the previous operating system or install Windows on a hard drive Virgin or reformatted.

You can stay on Windows 7 If your Home Premium key is a standalone key. Let us know what you would do.

You will need to provide your own Windows XP license if you want to use in Hyper-V. You must ensure that your processor supports high level address translation.

  • 23 - b090 H3Z78AA #ABA: Validation for upgrade to Windows 10

When my all in one office is validated for the upgrade to Windows 10?

If your PC Windows 7 or 8 was manufactured before August 2013 or running Windows XP or Windows Vista, HP cannot confirm that it can be upgraded to Windows 10.

Make sure you have all the latest updates for the OS, you're using currenlty.  If your system was manufactured before August 2013, visit the Microsoft site at www.microsoft.com/windows10upgrade this will run a check and can install base drivers and can work for you.

  • I have a valid license for Windows XP key code, so why the system tells me it is not currently active or real?

    Windows has no

I had to spend my PC this morning. Moving it, I decided to implement a new network card. When I reconnected it all the cables, I plugged my USB mouse on another USB port where it had been plugged in before. The computer is more than 7 years old and I've never had a problem with the front Windows Validation. I have a valid license for Windows XP key code, so why the system tells me it is not currently active or real?

When Windows checks to see if you have moved your copy of Windows to "another computer", among other things, that his focus on the identification of several strands of material in the computer to see if they are different than when Windows was first installed.  I do not remember the list for now, but I remember that the network card is one of the pieces - and IIRC it is 'valuable' higher than others to reach the conclusion.

You probably other elements has changed over the past seven years and now Windows has decided to have a "new" computer  Assuming that you haven't changed the motherboard - if you had, you would have had this issue at the time wherever you did--your installation is still legal.  Reactivate using your original license key. It should work online, but you will need to call the number that appears in the error message from re - validate.
