• Creating a Validation in the interactive report

  I use a link change on my interactive report to call a form page. I need to have a validation before the new page is opened (which gives an error on the report and do not open new form). I added the following the link attributes section of the interactive report:

  I did a new install of Windows 7 Professional on a workstation, and after all the updates, I installed Cobian Backup 11.

• FDM Validation 'error message' report, even after posting correctly

  Hi gurus,

  I created the FDM with active - passive verification and validation report, report is properly difference calculation, as appropriate. Usually it is to short messages on the report. 'Pass' and 'OK' or 'Error' on the line of validation

  If the result of the calculation is a value he gives the message 'Pass' and empty on the line of the result of the calculation, however when the validation result is '0', then it gives 'Pass' and 'Error' message on the line of the result of the calculation.

• Need help for analysis "plan and background events waiting" on the report statspack for oracle database 11.2.0.4 on AIX

  HI: I analyze the STATSPACK report: this is the "volume test" on our UAT server for most of entry or "bind variables".  Our shared pool is well used in oracle.  Recovery of Oracle logs is not configured properly on this server, as in "Top 5 events of waiting", there are 2 for Oder.

  I need to know what other information may be digging from of 'waiting in the foreground events' & ' background waiting events ", and which can help us better understand, in combination of ' Top 5 wait event, that how did the server test /?  It could be overwhelming. wait events, so appreciate useful diagnostic or analyses.  Database is oracle 11.2.0.4 updated from 11.2.0.3 on IBM AIX 64-bit, level 6.x system power

  I think that your CPU is overloaded by your stress tests. You have one VCPU with 2 wires (2 LCPU), right? And the load average is greater than one. You have time DB which is not counted in (CPU time + wait events) and which comes no doubt from time spent in the runqueue.

  It is an error in statspack for show "log file parallel write here." This moment is historical and is included in 'log file sync '. And I don't think you have to redo misconfiguration. Waiting for 1ms to commit is ok. In OLTP you should have more than one validation in a user interaction so that the user don't worry not about 1 m in batch mode, unless you commit to each row, 1 DC to commit should not increase the total execution time.

  The fact that you have a lot of line lock (enq: TX - line lock conflict) but very little time (on average 97 ms) is probably a sign that testers are running simultaneously a charge affecting the same data. Their set of test data is perhaps too simple and short. An example: when stress tests of an order entry system if you run 1000 concurrent sessions, ordering the same product to the same customer, you can get this kind of symptoms, but the test we unrealistic.

  It's a high activity of 2000 calls per second, 52 transactions per second, user. But you also have low average active sessions, so the report probably covers a period of non-uniform activity, which makes the averages without meaning.

  So note to tell about the events of waiting here. But we don't have any info about 39% of DB time devoted to the CPU which is where something can be improved.

• Validation of the source of planning

  I have a question about the validation of source EPM (Essbase/Planning).
  We have two different environment - DEV and PROD.
  Purpose of test, we made a change to the alias. Thus, the alias pointing to PROD will now point to DEV.
  So the question is "what are the different ways to validate and ensure that the alias is pointing now to DEV?
  
  There are several things we could check I think, for example, check the source in the workspace or planning. We could also check the DATA SOURCE for the reports. Is there another way to check what server applications are pointing to?
  
  We can also check the logs on the right? For example, in the essbase - hyperion/apps/appname/logs server.

  A simple test would be to stop the http server for example SST or workspace, and then use the URL of the workspace, if it does not work and worked before you stopped the service, then you know it routes properly.

  In the report I have ID and PART_NUM display. I want to link the PART_NUM with my LINK_TO_PART_NUM so that whenever I click on any of the PART_NUM it opens a new page with the link to LINK_TO_PART_NUM

  If LINK_TO_PART is a valid url so that you can change the PART_NUM column in your report. Go to the column binding attributes and set the following parameters:

• Validation of intersection report

  I am creating the report of Validation of Intersection, but an error occurred (the usual XML/XSL question seen in other threads).
  I think in my case, this error is due to the absence of MS Office (because on another server with the same applications HFM and FDM and the Office installation, it works perfectly).
  My question: is it possible to generate the Validation of the Intersection without Excel report? Thanks to other models for example...?

  The XML report is generated by the application during the validation step. It is stored in the directory OUtbox\Logs of the application.

  I need to create a validation on the page of iExpense, where... the user selects the type of expense and adds details such as start date total etc...
  
  When he clicks on the next button, validation can take place when when checking should be done with the database to search for if the user has created the same before report. If so it should allow user to create the new report.
  
  The problem I m facing here is... the validation must be done at the next button... and this button is common on all pages as it's a track.
  
  How can I do this... I m totally confused.
  
  Can someone help me fulfill this requirement. I know I should do the extension, I want to know what objects all I extend.

  When you follow the method mentioned by AJ, you can find VO named "ExpenseTypesVO" under the path "oracle.apps.ap.oie.common.server".

  According to the statement present in it, required table where we need to insert the new type of expense is "AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_PARAMS".

  Having to go on the DB server because it is sometimes a chore and I prefer to get a report of any customer, or even of in SQL Developer.
  
  Y at - it an easy way to achieve this or is it a tool for that?
  
  Obviously, the spreport.sql may be different from the Oracle DB version to another, and I would need to have a series of these reports on the client scripts and select the right one or I would need to have some mechanisum (stored proc?) coming to rdbms/admin on the server, so run the spreport.sql script, read the output and return from the customer.
  
  Y at - it an easier way or someone knows of a set that will do it?

  I don't think that I don't have your question. Sorry, but don't you mean you want to get a report from the client terminal by running locally on the client only? That's what I got from this line,

  Or if you want the report is available on the server to the client's local computer?

  If you want the State you will be given on the client side only, I'm not sure that there is no possibly he. What is the problem in the reading of the report on the same server if? If you can connect to db valid db and the o/s user, it can recover the data as well. But it's just a thought. I do not use the tools a lot, so I guess, I'll just join you and see what others have to say about it.

• How to display the text in the cell for CDA on the report

  I use en-Studio of reporting. Now my requirement is I want to show the text in the cell that I added under CDA - column Variance in the report. So for this I used the text of the cells and within this function function, I gave the line, column and page number. But it does not show the text in the cell that I added for hyperion planning on the report. But if I am referring to another cell text that I added to the variance of Yeartotal I'm able to see on the report.
  Can someone tell me why I'm not able to see the text from the cell that I added to the variance of the CDA?
  Pls tell the way by which I can return.

  I think you're out of luck on this one.

  Cell notes are stored in the planning of the HSP_CELL_NOTE and HSP_CELL_NOTE_ITEM tables. Done HSP_CELL_NOTE refers to a member for each dimension that is pointing to the intersection where the note should be linked. YearTotal is an intersection, even though it is dynamically calc would be in essbase. Each HSP_CELL_NOTE NOTE_ID points to one or more notes that are stored in HSP_CELL_NOTE_ITEM. This means that although you can save a note in YearTotal, it does not display when you report on the Y-T-D (Oct) which is purely dynamic. It does state that when you reference specifically an intersection that is stored in HSP_CELL_NOTE.

  It would be nice if you could see all the notes stored in Jan: Oct when your report contains a Y-T-D (Oct), but it doesn't.

  You can always write a stored procedure to go against the tables and the report in excel.
