• The tabs in Firefox 4 are hiding my browser themes. Can they be placed UNDER the address bar as it was in Firefox 3?

  Firefox 4 has placed the tabs above the address bar, rather than below (as if it was in previous versions) and the legs are block and hide my browser themes. Is it possible to move the tabs UNDER the address bar? I love being able to customize my browser with a variety of topics, but if I can't see them, then, the purpose of Personas is defeated. I think also, navigate between tabs is much easier to be at the top of the browser window. The address bar must be the head, not the tabs.

  Right-click on a toolbar, and then click the entry "Tabs" at the top to deselect the it.

  I just bought a new computer with windows 8. I got the camcorder (DCR-HC26) for awhile now. When I treid to operate on my new computer, cannot do. I have search and treid everything. The accompanying cd will not work on windows 8. I downloaded PlayMemories, still nothing. Can someone please. I'll be very angry if I can't get this working on windows 8. I have a lot of taps.

  To answer your question, this camcorder USB Streaming feature is not possible with Windows 8 operating system. If you try to connect the camcorder to your computer Windows 8 using a USB cable, the camera will not be recognized by the computer.

  To transfer the videos from the camcorder to your computer with Windows 8 operating systems, use an i.LINK (a.k.a firewire or IEEE1394 cable) cable or Audio/video provided (A / V) cable and software compatible video capture as Windows MovieMaker software.

  According to the availability of the iLINK decision-making or A / V jack on the computer, follow the instructions provided in the links to transfer the videos below.

  There is no router software on your computer. The router is a standalone device for networking. Everything you need for networking comes with Windows. So, you don't have to install anything on your computer. All you have to do is to configure your router. See the support pages for your router from linksys website. You will find a variety of articles in the knowledge base on a variety of topics. You can also download the manual there. Generally, the router configuration is done via the web interface of the router using a browser at http://192.168.1.1/ (password "admin"). All parameters is possible via the web interface. • Fund screen M7 or theme is no longer displayed. Help?

  I chose a variety of topics but they will not appear no matter what background, and yet I have sounds (Beach). Even if I select a photo and click on show as wallpaper, nothing happens. I have just a black screen. Have I changed a setting or something?

  Hello Peggy.

  Looks like a theme is too much about what you do at the office level. Try this: go to control panel and select personalization. When this window opens to scroll to the bottom where there is a row of buttons, and select Backgrounds (extreme, left button).

  When that opens or display the Browse button (if what you want is not in the list on the left), go to list and select the background you want and all the options to change (slide show settings, etc.). Back by clicking on the button "Save Changes".

  When all components are as you want - background, screen saver, the mouse pointer, colours, sounds, etc - just right-click on this theme "unregistered" and save this theme and to give the name desired . See if registering as a theme defines the background on what you want it to be.

  Once your theme is in place, see if you can find the theme causing you problems. If you can, do a right click on it and it will allow you to remove the theme.

  These two measures should take care of it.  Post any questions you may have.  And tell me if this solves the problem for you.

• Creating a picture library

  I have two fairly simple questions.

  First of all, I work on a Mac, and I'm subscribed to Adobe Creative Suite. I have several Web sites, focusing on a variety of topics. A site focuses on biology, which means that I'll eventually need images of thousands of plant and animal species. There will be a lot of work.

  I need a software that allows me to organize the images into categories and subcategories, like this...

  Animals

  > Mammals (Mammalia)

  > > Carnivores (Carnivora)

  > > > Cats (Felidae)

  > > > > Lynx

  Suppose I find thirteen images of the Lynx that I would add to my library. I care about them with a variety of tags and notes - the source, author status annotate, permissions that I got to use against them, in black and white color, etc..

  I started working on such a project a few years ago using Aperture, but I came across some kind of anomaly. I don't remember even more what happened, but I'm trying to decide if I should start again with Aperture or switch to another program. So my first question is kind of stupid, but if I go with Adobe, should I choose Lightroom or bridge?

  The reason why I ask is that someone told me that bridge is actually better suited to this project than Lightroom.

  Second question: import thousands of images in any program will translate into one helluva size large file. How people face this problem?   According to a lot of factors that you have not addressed, Lightroom or bridge can be the best tool. In fact, you could easily do this in your operating system.

  However, since this is a forum for Lightroom and I'm a little biased, I would say that Lightroom is the best tool, he made more than things, and it makes them better than the bridge... and you can actually buy bridge by itself. But you may not have all of the tools that provides Lightroom.

  The pictures are not stored in Lightroom. They are stored on your hard drive, somewhere, in the place you put or in the place where instruct you Ligthroom to put them. The Lightroom Catalog size should not be a problem.

  Do not do this. Lightroom does it for you in the background. As I said, the pictures are not stored in Lightroom.

  Big mistake. Simplify your life. Use a single catalog. Lightroom can handle it.

• Can I transfer the VDR tape backup?

  Hello. I looked in the FAQ and docs for VDR, but I can't figure out if it is possible to move the saved by VMs tape or another type of backup media.

  I understand that the 'original' store target for VDR can be NFS, CIFS or another type and that it keeps a history (deduped) according to the rules of detention, but I feel the need to move more / archive these backups off-site and for a longer retention.

  Is this possible and if so, can I use my regular backup program to back up the NFS/CIFS data store in the form of regular files, or how it is?

  Thanks for the posts - great to see so much discussion on the forums.  Some elements/clarification

  (1) given that some people have already said, VDR has no native support for removable media (cassette, DVD, etc.).

  (2) all backups are written to disk in a proprietary format of VDR (compressed and deduped)-for VDR can only read this "dedupe store.

  (3) this store of deduplication is actually a bunch of files running on the destination diskette file system - so there are a few files and since they are all resident in the same directory, they can quite transportable/backup-able/moving.  As some people had mentioned, if the destination is a CIFS share, then any backup/restore software that can 'see' these files will be able to move in the Ribbon.  For those of us lucky enough to have deployed replication technology, you should be able to take advantage of replicate the store of deduplication to another destination

  (4) the State of the VDR unit is also kept in the store of deduplication.  That means backup jobs, newspapers, etc. are preserved, as well as in the case of a DR scenario, newly developed into service camera VDR and pointing to the store of deduplication (existing or restored from media) will return the VDR unit in its last known state

  So here's the tricky part...

  (1) VDR has a concept called a backup window.  The little secret is that in addition to backups, we will carry out also "household" deduplication Bank, such as health checks and the removal of political restore points (i.e. more than it that calls retention policy).  Meanwhile, the store of deduplication is 'active '.

  (2) in addition, if you perform restorations or bring work of backup in accordance, VDR will allow these operations outside the backup window, once again the store of deduplication will be 'active '.

  Just a quick question; in previous versions of HR, in the list of topics, you could see what topics have been at the table of indexes materials by the small square blue or white. This RH7 disappeared now in? It was a useful way to see what topics have been included and that's exactly what I do now.

  I clicked on view > detail view, then view > details topic from the list and click OK. And so, there's my columns.

• Redirect to a specific topic based on references section in application

  Life is full of challenges...

  I'm building an online help to be deployed with the version Orion of MicroStrategy (MSTR).

  We replace aid MSTR with our own specific applications that we have built.

  We have customized the out of the box MSTR GUI and I build a replacement aid with our own content.

  The IUG, DOOD has links (?) leading to a specific help.

  In earlier versions of their most recent Orion (V9.x) - they had about 10 topics.

  It was quite easy to deal with, I just reproduce these themes and used as a starting point to discuss the feature.

  Now, in Orion, they have a variety of new topics and it can get unweildy to find and reproduce all.

  In addition, they analyzed the content for a window in verse headings 3 and 4. Is not ideal for how to help us.

  I can get a list of the names of files about HTM and replicate.

  OR

  I was hoping I could list these subjects by their HTM file name somewhere in the project and redirect to a topic.

  Is this possible in a RoboHelp project?

  I use RoboHelp x 8 and building WebHelp.

  You can create an empty topic, with this added inside the HEAD section:

  Empty field may be related to another topic, TOC, etc.. Content = "0 indicates a zero display by launching the target file."

  If you want to add a type to "Load the file you requested" text instead, simply change that zero to a manageable number in milliseconds to allow users to comfortably read your sparkling prose.

• How to remove apple news topics?

  I like the new product new Apple iOS.  However, it seems difficult to manage themes.  I used to read the headlines and other news using other applications.  My children have iPads that are related to my account and managed by me.  I would use the product of news with them, but I can't understand how to limit news to a few topics that interest them (science, history, etc.). They don't bother Sports, finance, fashion or news of last hour (nor do I want them to see a big part of it).  There seems to be no way to remove the new trends, news or other ordinary stuff.  I can't find references on how to do it either.
