  I'm new to VMware and am preparing to take the network virtualization - Channel VCA.

  The old plan of VCA - NV (which probably would still be valid for VCA6-NV), 2 training courses are listed:

  Network virtualization basic [V2014] class Live Online < < < yet available online

  Enter the technical presentation of VMware NSX with Self Paced with Labs see calendar of laboratories < < < can't seem to find this

  [1] is an equivalent course available for ""Presentation technique VMware NSX with Self Paced Labs "? "

  [2] would be taken on "network virtualization Fundamentals" sufficient for the review of the NV VCA6?

  [3] could not find it, but any recommended books/study guides on press of VMware that can be used for the preparation for VCA6-NV or?

  Review of examination subjects and take basic training.

• Network connectivity lost every 24 hours after the migration of DVS

  Hello community...  Well, I'm puzzled again.  I am running a vSphere 5.5 U3 environment with the latest patch.  I'm going through certification VCP - VTC prep and decided to migrate my (lab at home) environment of standard virtual switches to virtual switches distributed as I have not had a lot of experience with them so far.  Migration seems to be okay.  Before migrating, I used three different 1 Gbit/s links a group of hash LACP-IP on my standard vSwitch.  I have several VLANs for different laboratory networks.  One is specifically used as a DMZ for the WAN to my ISP connectivity.  I created a virtual machine for use as a firewall with multiple network cards, which one is connected to this VLAN WAN.  On the standard vSwitch seemed to work exactly as expected.  For some reason any after moving to a DVS, the firewall VM needs to be recharged all morning before the full network connectivity is restored.  It's a strange problem.  I tried to re - create the virtual machine and play with the security settings of DvPortgroup, but the problem persists.  Anyone out there have any ideas as to what could cause this?

  Oh, a little more in detail...  I moved from hash balancing LACP/IP road based on the physical NIC load with the migration to DVS.  Remove groups from the aggregation of connection of the switch too.

  Well, change of load balancing policy and upgrade the DvSwitch to version 6 did not help.  However, I stopped the machine virtual and added 4 E1000 NIC as a test.  I've reconfigured the firewall VM to use the new cards instead of the VMXNET3.  Load Balancing has changed back to "load depending on the physical NETWORK card" and always use VGT to separate traffic.  From now on, he went the longest without experiencing the issue so far.  About 16 hours so far without having to restart the virtual machine.  Will keep posted guys.

  If I were you, I'd go for VCP6-VTC - you'll need to take a course of vSphere 6 and will find these abundant provide already - by the time you're ready final exams (2V0-620 and 621 - 2V0) must be released.

  You will end up getting a SIP URI with the domain that was provided to you ( [email protected] / * /). VCS administrator may have locked down the URI that you can register with and can also have enabled authentication.

  Yes, you must also specify the VCS FQDN or IP as a proxy.

  Say you talk to VCS administrator to join then check the URI that you can use. Once registered you need to consider telephone directory in your usual to users will also want to type in the URI for each call.   Hello. I've been tasked with finding a way to display information on the screen when the VTC. Similar to how the name of an endpoint that appears down to the center of the screen, I want to be able to display the ISDN and the password of a VTC on screen, so that users can disseminate this information to participants using the audio option only.

  I have search features of TMS and so far have not found a solution. Does anyone have any experience with what might point me in the right direction (assuming that it is still possible)?

  Only method is a manual method, already mentioned in previous answers, no way to automate this task with the features of the current software.

  2 years ago I had the training for 5.5 ESXi and vCenter Server 5.5 - I wonder if that would satisfy the requirement and allows me to pass the exam VCP6-VTC?  Or should I stick with the VTC VCDP5 only?

  If please guide me to the path of realization and what should be my next course of action.

  Should I upgrade my VCP 6 certification and then pick VCAP6 VTC or its fine if I go directly to VCAP6 VTC.

  Based on the certification paths listed on the above web page, you must either hold a VCP6 VTC invalid, or a certificate of VCAP5 directly to VCAP6-VTC.

  With your current certification VCP5-VTC, you get VCP6-VTC certification before you can go for the advanced certification.

  1. just to clarify something, will be VCIX6 consist of a single review (VCIX6-VTC) OR will be 2 exams like VCAP5 (VCAP5-DCA & VCAP5-DCD)?

  1. It consists of two exams, but if you did say VCAP5-DCA then you only have to do the review VCIX-Design for VCIX. Unlike the VCAP exams well if you pass one without any prerequisite VCAP so you do not get a VCIX, you will spend together for VCIX6-VTC
  2. Depends on what your working days, but learning new technology is always better IMO. BUT VCIX is probably going out in 3-4 months
  3. Much like above, beta exams have not yet started so probably only December/jan2016 time. Also the lack of resources to study for a bit

  I just started working on preparation VCDX5-VTC. I finished VCP5/VCAP-DCA/VCAP-DCD in vSphere 5.0 and I would like to know if my VCDX5-VTC design should be based on vSphere 5.0, or it can also rely on the vSphere 5.5 infrastructure as well.

  I understand that a drawing of VCDX5 can be any version 5

  I believe you can also submit a version 6 design, although you are not awarded a VCDX5.
