• VCP - NV with CCNA - until when?

  Dear community,
  I'm a CCNA routing and switching and I am interested in becoming certified on VMware NSX and saw that there is the possibility to sit in review of VCP - NV without any class prerequisites, if my CCNA credentials are valid and will need to be verified.

  However, I saw on the VMWare Web site that this possibility will be valid until January 2016, while several other resources I've seen February 28, 2015, as the last possible date to write the exam in this way.

  What is someone is aware of the actual date?
  Otherwise, I'll try to get in touch directly with someone on the side of VMware.

  The closing date was recently delayed til January 31, 2016.

  Another thing that has been changed recently - once you have reached your VCP - NV you can 'use' as a precondition to other certifications VCAP/VCP/VCIX (before the change that you would have to have some training in order to achieve other certifications)

• Regarding VCAP550 - VTC review

  Hi all

  I recently completed VCP550 - VTC directly with participants to training with vmware. Now, I want to write the VCAP550 - DCA also. That I have to take courses with certainty before the exam or I can directly attend the review.

  Once you have met the training requirements for VCP5-VTC, you will be able to get approval for any review VCAP (or VCIX-NV), or a VCP exam in a discipline apart from the VTC/vSphere - it will be recommended that training for each certification but no hard requirement (according to my initial response when I misread that you were already a VCP5 VTC)

  To qualify for a VCAP review, there is no other choice at this point.

  Dear comrades,

  Anyone know when the VCAP-NV will be available or betas?

  What will be the process of getting these? If for example I have not any VCP - NV and then I take the VCAP-NV (desing) will get the VCP - NV as well? any explanation will be appreciated.

  At the moment there is no review of the design of VCAP6-NV or CA, and deploy VCAP6-NV review is due out in May (from the Status Exam Beta tab on this page)

  You need to browse the page tabs specific to the certification you want to win in order to see your options according to your current training/certification status - here is the link to Deploy VCAP6-NV.

  From what I see, you must be a door-VCP6-NV, VCIX NV, or have a CCIE in order to go directly to VCAP6-NV deploy - is exceeded in the case.

  Sounds to me like VCP6-NV will be necessary for you first, before you meet the requirements to get a VCAP6-NV.

• Documentation during the review of the VCIX?

• VCAP-DCA 550 retirement date?

  I started to prepare for VCAP a few times now, but whenever life got in the way.

  VMware is changing the cert at VCIX, and I wonder if it's worth using VCAP. I am aware that you can use the VCAP cert to VCIX but I don't know if I can finish before VCAP withdraw all together. There is a retirement date assigned for VCAP-DCA 550?

  I plan to take cert VCAP... should I wait for vSphere 6 or take 5 exam?

  also, do I need VCAP courses if I have active VCP?  books do recommend you for review VCAP?

  With vSphere 5, you can get a VCAP with a single review, with vSphere 6 you will need to take 2 tests to get a VCIX.

  There are paths of migration for those who have the VCP and VCAP in v5, you can learn more about this too: paths of Migration from v5 to v6 Certification | The Certification Blog - Articles from VMware and VMware education

  So, you could wait and go directly to VCIX6. Or you can go for a VCAP5 now and find yourself at VCIX6.

  As long as your VCP is present (ie. it has not expired) you will not need to take any training.

• Time of pending the outcome of the review VCIX

  Anyone know how long must we wait for the result after taking the exam VCIX? 15 business day or within 24 hours as other admin vcap exams?

  It is, will change the goals, etc.? This would affect me if I got my VCAP-DCA in the meantime? If I have to spend another review for the VTC VCIX or just change the title?

  It is only the new track of virtualization of network which includes the new VCIX element at the moment - he there is no news on the existing VTC, DT, and tracks of cloud.

  So, for now I continue as planned to the VCAP-DCA or VCAP-DCD (you don't tell you you're aiming for)

  What resources are available today depend on the specific VCAP, you want to achieve.

  For VCAP5-DCA, there are a few resources on the page of VMware here and an official book available through Pearson here. You will find also some resources great community, I have a list of some on my blog here page.

• Reviews VCAP moved to profile VCP on Pearsonvue

  Hi guys

  I noticed that my review of VCAP-DCD550 has been moved from my profile advanced to the professional profile on Pearsonvue.

  Is VMware Fusion the two profiles, so we don't have is no longer separate profiles for professional and advanced exams or something is wrong with my profile?

  The other my Advanced profile no longer works, the VMware candidate ID has been deleted.

  I also noticed that my review for DCD550 story does not appear on the professional profile, only DCD550 and VCP5.5 appearing as exams pre-approved.

• Availability review VCIX

  Does anyone know when the VTC-VCIX or VCIX-CMA will be released?

  I am currently a DCD + VCAP5-DCA and my VCP expires in 99 days. VMware education told me that my options are to get my VCDX5-VTC (impossible to 99 days) or a VCP exam. I would prefer to certify on something at the VCIX level instead of blowing $225 to get just an another VCP. Any info (same rumors) is greatly appreciated!

  Response, that I got at VMworld was THAT VCIX-VTC should be available in December or January.

  I got this question in my mind. I have until the end of January 2016 to the exam of the VCIX-NV (for CCIE's). My question is... If I spent the VCP - NV-> VCPC610 which is expiring end of November that buy me more time? or this review at the end I will not be SECURE and will not be able to take the 1st road?  any experince with vmware certs?

  VCPs last for 2 years. If you are 'current' as long as you have earned the certification less than 2 years ago.

  Get your VCP - NV first - then you can win VCIX-NV until the examination for certification has not been removed, and is not ;-) 2018
