• Paths of folders Shell not updated on the new profiles

  On a recent update to an image, I noticed that the paths in the Shell registry records part were not updated according to new profiles. They were staying as they were in the registry of the user by default when the image was created. I couldn't find a way to solve this problem, and it was causing problems with some programs unable to find the location of the files. Finally, I created a new image from scratch and prepared the image using sysprep and the same unattended xml file that I have always used. I fully expect this new image do not have problems, but again the paths were not updated. I can't find any reason for it. Paths of folders Shell remains static on the account used when creating the image and not update the paths for each new profile. For now I use an older image which has not been affected by this, but requires the manual update of several pieces of software.

  The procedure I use to create an image is:

  ·         Connect with the local administrator account

  ·         Set profile options

  ·         run sysprep with the / generalize switch using an unattend.xml file with CopyProfile set to true in the phase specialize and capture the image

  I found several old messages on the internet in terms of static paths in the files of the shell, but none mention a cause or how to solve the problem.

  I was wondering if it is possible to save multiple vCenter servers (all vCenter Server devices) with a single instance of vSphere Web Client that runs on one of these devices to vCenter?

  VCSA1 > use built in Web Client to manage all vCenter servers.

  VCSA2 > register with VCSA1.

  VCSA3 > register with VCSA1.

  I find no 5.5 specific information but what I've read I think it's possible on 5.1. The ' admin - cmd.sh' script does not seem to be present in my 5.5 VCSA however.

  The admin app is no longer available with vCenter 5.5. If you register all the vCSA to a SSo central, they will all see the place in the web client unique management this SSO Server vCenter.

  Hello, I am trying to understand the best way to get the UUID vCenter for VIM vCloud object (in my case a resource pool, for which I have the MoRef) to identify the corresponding object of vCenter.   I want to use a given resource pool reference (Playback a pvDC) to find the purpose of grouping of real resources in vCenter, many vCenters recorded vCO/VCD since the MoRef is not unique between vCenters.  There is an article by William Lam (http://blogs.vmware.com/vsphere/2012/02/uniquely-identifying-virtual-machines-in-vsphere-and-vcloud-part-1-overview.html) that describes the relationships, but an example to solve this with vCO would be appreciated.

  Unfortunately the-host, these must be manually created in all cases. Take a look at Re: ESXi 5 in AD / DNS configuration where Troy describes the reason for this.

• What would cause my C: / / drive to be completely changed?

  Greetings:

  I have windows 7 pro 64-bit. Something happened between Saturday night and Sunday, and I'm very worried that this is the result of piracy.

  My question is to try to know what could cause this, and so what are the best measures to prevent anything like this in the future:

  My C drive was completely changed. He was unrecognizable, and inaccessible for me.

  I don't know what in the world happened. I've always had the drive C (which is computer, local disk C, users, etc. and has programs and of course copies of all who are also in the library, which is placed above this player is windows so that created and joking with her.)

  (2) the security cameras are hard wired and go through my router. So, they use my IP address. BUT I have a password to connect to the cameras to examine what has been recorded. Nobody knows & I do not give.

  (3) my laptop mainly use wi - fi, as I sat in my dining room. Nobody knows that I will not let others use or I give it for NO REASON.

  OK, can so anyone who might know its IP address have a way to get into his computer, which is connected to a router?

  I am sure that VLC it did not.  Fortunately you have been forward-thinking enough to have a back up.  Don't not piracy or the other.  If I had to guess, I strongly suspect McAfee.  He is known to be problematic

  I can recommend a malicious software solution that incorporates a good firewall so called ESET smart security.  This is the test of the balls, easy to use and you can almost forget about it

• Add context menu of the taskbar using the registry editor

  I am able to add context menu items in the background of the Office (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell) or records (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\Shell) but I can't find the key needed to do this to the taskbar. What is it?

  As far as I KNOW, you can add items to the context menu of the taskbar. All we can add is deskbands and custom toolbars (if you are a programmer.)

• SG300-20 - configure DHCP on the interface VLAN

  I have read the different partners of the discussions on the SG300 and SG500 going on regarding the high setting of VLAN and DHCP on VIRTUAL networks.  For some reason, I could not get even this simple task to work.

  First thing I did was update my version firmware and boot as follows:

  SW version 1.3.7.18 (date of 12 January 2014 time 18:02:59)

  Start the 1.3.5.06 version (dated 21 July 2013 times 15:12:10)

  HW version V02

  When I rebooted the SG300 after the SW/Boot updates the boot configuration has been crushed and I had to configure my switch from scratch.  The intention is to have two VIRTUAL networks:

  VLAN 1: all the devices, servers, etc.

  VLAN 2: subnet basis which distributes DHCP addresses

  The SG300-20 is connected to a router Asus RT-AC66U on the 192.168.1.x subnet and provides access to the internal network and WiFi access (IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1 and the default gateway).  Everything works without any problem.  So my task is simply to create 2 VLANS on 192.168.2.x subnet and use DHCP to assign addresses.  I spent many hours on it and I still can't get it to work.  When I connect a laptop to the port (GI8) assigned to 2 VLANS, I end up finding a few wobbly 169.254.x.x address.  I definitely thought something would not 'easy' that hard to set up, but apparently I was wrong.

  The SG300 is running in mode L3 as shown in my running-config below.

  Someone gets to see something which could prevent my client from the laptop to receive the interface VLAN 2 DHCP IP addresses that are not on the 192.168.2.x subnet?

  Any ideas / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

• RV042 to RV220W VPN works... can ping IPs, but not host names

  We have an installation RV220W to the main office one-site-2 program (gateway-to-gateway) to remote desktop RV042 VPN

  RV220W has subnet 192.168.1.x (Windows 2003 server hosting DNS, DHCP)

  RV042 192.168.2.x subnet a (machine Windows 8, RV042 is hosting DNS, DHCP)

  We can ping IP numbers in both directions, but not machine names.  I know it's linked DNS are unsure which solution is.  All advice is appreciated.

  Hi Lori, hostname access is generally limited to the range of local IP addresses. In addition, the router does not host a DNS record to resolve hostnames on part and other VPN respectively. You can configure the LMHOST files on each machine or you can try to use NetBios.

  You can enable NetBios on the VPN tunnel configured on each router and disable the Firewall window or make exceptions to allow NetBios traffic through the firewall of the machine.

• Files shared/upgrade Win7

  I have a local network, ORGANIZATIONAL unit called "GroupA".

  All members of the GroupA can access the resources of the GroupA

  GroupA has a shared folder hosted on Win7 Pro PC.  On all the following folders are defined:

  MemberA, MemberB, MemberC and member access R/W access

  Member and MemberF can visit r

  MemberD is a user on the host computer.  MemberD has all rights of access as MemberA and MemberB MemberC

  MemberD can open and edit the files in the folder; However, when MemberD makes a change to a file, it will NOT refresh in the folder.  MemberD added a file in the folder, but no one can see it.  MemberD can only see it.

  MemberD can access a database in the shared folder and a record.  Nobody can see that added record.

  One thing I noticed on the shared folder is a check mark on the top left of the folder icon.  That this has something to do with the question?  (Not sure if she did or not)  All rights and permissions are the same as other users.

  Any ideas or suggestions?  Management of versions or libraries have something to do with its ability to change?

  To summarize, here are the steps to set up a custom domain.

  STEP 1

  Point your URL on your portfolio. To do this, you must change the DNS of your domain settings. Filling it is a bit different for each service, but it will probably consist of:

  Change the default a record for your hostname (yoururl.com)

  Change the a record for your subdomain "www" (www.yoururl.com)

  The variable $alarmsSRC contains a collection of hash tables. You can use the GetEnumerator method to enumerate the entries in a hash table. The following PowerCLI script shows you how to do this in your case. I like an exercise lets you modify the script to create the alarms.

• ASD pre-run vRA properties in vRO

  I'm working on the construction of Veeam as a Service. One thing we want to do is to display a list of vCenter VMs and records, the Group of businesses creating backups can select to add a backup job when its initially created. My thought was to use the type of object VC:VirtualMachine in a tree and set a data binding for vCenter folder that corresponds to the value of a custom of their Business Group property. The problem that I am running is that I do not believe that I get no information from vRA in vRO on the pre-run user so I can't do a filtering in data binding. I would use something like __asd_subtenantRef to get the ID of group Buisiness then retrieve a custom property that I can search for vCenter to view the folder that corresponds to the value of the property and the virtual machines within the container. Did someone come up with something clever to get around this?

  I got around that by creating a resource in the vRA for an object. Perhaps I should repeat a provision of a folder object vCenter or something that they can act on...

  There are some things that you can get by vRO actions using external property of a form of ASD field.  You need an action that takes a type entry (for example, a string) and a return on the field type (for example, string) to be able to look at things, you can take.

  Here is an area that calls an action called returnAString.  It takes a string as input and returns a string.  (this field can be hidden, if you were just for sending the data collection).

  This particular service model is for a market and therefore a part of the information is available on the company group itself.
