  I would like to know how VMWare to approve my request for review with control of the pre - requisites.i past VCP510-VTC, will I get the certificate if I completed the required course [VMware vSphere: what's new [V5.x] training (two days, version with instructor)] or I have to retry the exam after completion of the training. I asked for a permission that has been validated.   You are very well - the web page is usually updated to show the latest version of the class.

  You can take exams VCP510 or VCP550 - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, while VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5 - submitting a review you will win the same certification VCP5-VTC.

• Permission to review VCP5-VTC without CIM class

  Can I try VCP5-VTC review first and then participate in ICM training... I ask this because, according to a blog now we should participate class ICM first to register for the VCP test.

  Today I just tried to register for the test VCP5 and obtained authorized in the next 15 minutes and there is no such thing as this review to schedule on-site PearsonVUE. The strange thing is I have not attended class ICM still (planning to attend it in January) so why this review is permitted as soon as I'm supposed to first attend the CIM class. Could someone please clearify?

  I think that is not wrong in saying that there is no 'upgrade' path as there is none which is new class to see (as it is for vSphere and certification of VTC)

  I have my VCP5-VTC review on 9.12.2013. I was wondering if the version under review covers what's new in vSphere 5.5? What about configuration maximus - what is should I be familiar with?

  I asked my instructor for VMware, new courses and he said that VMware will ask the common thing between different versions (5, 5.1, 5.5). Is this true?

  Well, it's not reassuring. In my opinion, should be a clear statement from VMware that they understand the new version in review. This is especially important about maximus configuration.

  I just checked plan review and him I see not everything related to 5.5

• Renew expired certification

  So now that may 08 has passed and I'm guessing a lot of holders of VCP have expired certifications, what is the way to renew these?

  Looking at the certification VCP5-VTC page, is unclear:

  Track 1: It all started with Data Center Technologies

  Nope, already had a VCP4/5.

  Track 2: If you have a valid secure Channel certification.

  No, it has expired, so not valid (I guess?). This seems more destined to the update of VCP4 anyway.

  Track 3: you have completed a 5 day course that qualifies for the VCP4-VTC Certification, but has failed to meet the DCV VCP4 exam.

  Yet once more to hold VCP4, but again not relevant to someone who had a VCP valid

  Track 4: If you are a current VTC VCP5 who took the exams VCP510 and must now obtain a new certification.

  I guess that's the closest, so until September 30, we can make the delta review to validate our current expired certificates?

  Without doubt, if we wanted to get VCP6 then we would either need make what's new course, or have a valid VCP5 and review of VCP6 (currently in beta, but I guess there will be overlap normal ~ 6 months without requirement of course)

  Expiration of your certification, you must meet the requirements of training and pass a test.  Training requirements for the VCP550 include vSphere 4 CIM + what's new 5.5.

  I am preparing to secure Channel (VCP5-VTC) review and wanted to ask if there are restrictions to take the authorized class after the test is successful. With the rumor update for version 5.5, I wanted to make sure that I don't have to re - take the exam when the 5.5 classes and exams will be available. I'm planning to take the exam this month and attending the class some time in 2014.

  You can go ahead and follow the course of 5.1 and certification. That review is has not been updated but AFAIK.

• How to install VMWARE tools in ESXi VirtualHost?

  New in the vmware community... Just-VCP5-VTC review first attempt scored 184 little weak feeling... is in any case I have server with 16 GB of memory and processors R710 Dual Core Quad and 4 TB of storage with raid 0 which gives me two 2 TB built in Lun with raid 5 OS mirrored disks. Have installed ESXi server and created 4 VMS 1 VC, 1 ms and 2 linux machine I will use as ESXi servers for clustering; HA; DRS etc.

  I am struggling to install the vmware tools on virtual hosts esxi; can't seem to get the media using the mount command? I installed vmware tools on other virtual machines to linux without problem...

  VMware Tools are not available or supported on ESXi virtual hosts.

  BTW. I'm a bit confused about the "... and have 4 TB of storage with raid 0 which gives me two 2 TB built in Lun with raid 5 OS mirrored disks...» ». Assuming that you have 4 disks, not do you have configured them in 3 RAID5 disks with a backup?

  How to book review VCP5-VTC?  I'm on the train, and I think it means that I have a way to be able to do the review.  I was told that I can't do the review, unless I follow training.  What is the cost of the review too?

  I guess you're new to VMware/certification exams. You have a choice of 2 exams which you can take - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, and VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5.

  Yes. Currently, there is no requirement for the VCP5-DT class. However, it is probably a good idea to download the action plan for the review (found here http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=28343&ui=www_cert ) and make sure you know everything that is there.

  A simple question, but still not clear:

  I took the exam on Monday, barely missed VCP5 (don't get started me on some of the questions) - I can it resume Monday NEXT or I have to wait until Tuesday NEXT?

  7 days of tracking... How?

  There is a period of minimum 7 days waiting, so you would be able to regain power on a week day, IE if you have taken the examination Tuesday you would be allowed to review the site Tuesday of the following week.  It is physical days not working days.
