VCS and integration of Office 365 Lync?

We have recently moved to Office 365 and include features of Lync for Office Office videophone (as well as IM) but we do not have a Lync server on site to do all the required configurations. Anyone out there experience with the integration of these two products?

My hypothesis is that it is still possible to somehow, but we will not be able to configure any end point of VCS to vocation user Lync. Is it possible to still have Lync users to call to an endpoint of VCS (which is what I really want to do anyway)?

My first tests have developed negative did the best that I can with the deployment guide, but I also think I might need to change my domain name to my settings of VCS for a subdomain (as @vcs.mydomain.com), now they are both using the same top level domain name, and I fear that the two systems are not 'find' the other because their research are limited to their respective systems.

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

You cannot configure Lync to federate to an environment of VCS in the same way that you can federate to other domains running Lync, this isn't how the integration works.

The role of the VCS in integration with OCS/Lync is to translate between Microsoft SIP and based on the SIP standard, which is the reason why a or several control devices VCS need to communicate directly with a Director or a Front End Processor. You cannot communicate directly with a low of VCS an OCS/Lync Edge server.

I'm not familiar with Office 365 and which control this service gives you on your server (if any) infrastructure, but if you look at the deployment of OCS/Lync and setup guide, you must perform the VCS on the OCS/Lync server to trust them and possibly to set up static routes I do not think that you will be able to perform these steps by using Office 365 (please, correct me if I'm wrong).

    We are currently investigating the possibilities to achieve interoperability between Lync 2013, VCS and video devices on the side of the VCS standards-based, it is a work in progress and at this stage, it is to early to provide any factual information on when interop will be available.

    In contrast to Lync 2010, Lync 2013 does not support H.263 for video and it so that will remove the OCS/Lync integration. I do however think that you should be able to make a two-way video between Lync 2013 and VCS-joined endpoints if you use an AMGW tried that yet?

    How to change a word or document excel on my ipad?  We use office 365.

    I have Word and Excel apps loaded.

    I can't understand where to save and how to save the file to my desktop, so I can then access on the ipad.

    If you have Office 365, the simplest method is through OneDrive and your Office 365 subscription includes the free storage for OneDrive (currently from 1 TB to a personal account).

    On your desktop, save the file on OneDrive (exactly how you do it depends on if you use Mac or Windows and what version of Word/Excel). If you use Microsoft Office for Mac I can give you instructions step by step.

    On the iPad, tap Open (in the box on the left) and then press OneDrive and navigate to the file.

  • 10.5 connect integration with Office 365 unit in support of voicemail to email

    Using the document attached, I try to integrate the connection of the unit with Office 365 and have managed to query domain names and its fine to resolve, however, I get the error below the my user account on the server of connection of the unit, which seem to be linked to "Appropriate permissions not granted to the service account or to the mailbox Exchange uninitialized" see screenshot below.


    My Questions are

    (1) in Office 365 under Exchange settings / users in my phone and unified messaging features voice account is currently disabled, this feature is active for the UM with the connection of the unit to operate? See screenshot below.

    (2) also when I discovered active users / user account / product licenses my plan online Exchange is off, what I have to buy this feature for Unified Messaging work? See screenshot below

    3)the big question is do I need to either or both of these features in a permitted in support of unified unity connection messaging? Or is their anyway, I can assure this works without having to purchase the license? IE demo/trial licenses etc.

    Of the test failed, it captures screen appears that you have may not properly set the permissions of the account. I read it again and make sure that the password is not set for the required change, etc.

  • 8.1 Windows title bar flashing (and all other Office 365 home flashes when I stall Net Netgear software engineering)

    I have a problem with WIndows 8.1 THE flashing bar title, and all the other programs that I use as Office 365 programs they are all flashing and disturbing all the data, I'm typing.     I understand that you are facing problems with Windows 8.1 after installing Netgear software engineering on the computer.

    This problem could occur if the software is not compatible with Windows 8.1, that the problem only occurs after you install the software, that's why I suggest you remove the software and install it in compatibility mode and see if it helps.

  • Microsoft Office 365 does not work after update of El Capitan 10.11.4 March 27

    I've upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.4 March 27 and my Microsoft Office 365, specifically the word & excel stopped working properly. Files can be opened, but when you save the new content, and then close the document, it does not record properly (and no backup or temporary file cannot be found). Once opened again, they eventually return to the saved before the update version. Thus losing the latest added to the document after the update.

    If anyone has experienced this or can help, I'd appreciate it. This is my first mac and I thought it would be much easier to use than a PC, but I'm not sure I can take this abuse much more time

  • Microsoft Office 30 personal days of trial against Microsoft Office 365

    I recently bought a Dell XPS 8900 with 10 Windows installed. The package I purchased includes a 30 day trial of Microsoft Office. At the same time, I bought a copy of Microsoft Office 365 Personal (annual subscription).

    As part of the installation process, I downloaded and installed Microsoft Office 365 Personal, which includes access 2016 2016 Excel, OneNote 2016, 2016 Outlook, PowerPoint 2016, 2016 Publisher and Word 2016.

    Silly me, I planned that install an official, paid for the version of Office would be to uninstall everything that came with the 30 days trial version, but there are pieces left over, and I'm not sure what I can do with them safely (safe as in, it won't mess up the installation of Office products that I bought) :

    There is a 'Get Office' icon in the start menu and a 'Get Office' entry in the Apps section & functionality of the system control panel.

    Is it safe to just uninstall it?

    There seems to be two copies of installed OneNote. The first, named OneNote 2016, seems to be the one I bought. Its icon in the start menu has a light blue background, like all the other "official" Office components The icon in the start menu for the other copy is named simply OneNote and has a purple background. There is also an icon with the same purple background in the Notification bar. When I fly over this icon, it says "new quick note. This second copy of OneNote, the one with the purple background, is listed in the list of Apps & features, but not in Control Panel programs & features.

    Is it safe to uninstall the second instance of OneNote (the one with the purple background icon)? If so, how to manage it? When I click on the entry for OneNote in section Apps & features (which indicates a size 272 KB, which does not resemble any kind of real app), the uninstall option is grayed out. And there is no entry for OneNote in Control Panel programs & features (admission-only on the desktop in this list is "Microsoft Office 365 - en - us").

    To summarize my questions:

    1. can I uninstall the app 'Get Office' Apps & features?

    2. can I uninstall this second copy of OneNote, and if so, how?

    As usual, Microsoft has managed to confuse me and cluttering up my desktop. Any help would be appreciated.

    Click with the right button on get office and select uninstall, click with the right button on get Skype and select uninstall.

    OneNote, Mail, and Sway are part of Windows 10. Microsoft cannot uninstall OneNote (Windows 10) or by mail (Windows 10) by simple right click and selecting Uninstall.

    Currently have a 9900 and am evaluating whether to upgrade to a Q10.

    Carrier through TMobile, with BBCS in Office 365 e-mail accounts and one account Office 365 by TMobiles BIS.

    What I give myself to understand, Q10 works with EAS, how it works with multiple accounts Office365?

    Also understand that there are problems with synch EAS causing Exchange to enter the locking of the device for 10 minutes. This problem has been fixed.

    How the Q10 will work with a shared calendar Office 365? Eternal problem for mobile devices, are there special apps developed for the Q10 allow access? We do not run Sharepoint.

    Well it does not really a default value in the hub, you will have all your accounts, when you dial, you can bring the account to send from or if you only see one account he chooses the one to send.

    Calendar is separated by colors, and when you make a new appointment you just choose which calendar it is posted to.

    Even with contacts, even if I found it annoying that when I add or change a contact on the Q10, it removes the category in Outlook and changes my sort of first/last to the last/first.

    Battery life is ok, I disable the LTE radio as I did not have that kind of speed to watch just the emails and contacts and allows the battery life much.

    I currently use Windows XP [licensed Version] with Office 2003 and joined Microsoft. Due to the news coming from Microsoft, now I intend to buy the 8.1 of Windows and Office 365.  How can I identify the version gave me is the real 8.1 Windows instead of Windows 8.  What is the capacity of the equipment required for the loading of the above mentioned software?  My current computer is purchased in 2006, which is the brand.     If your computer came with Windows XP, you may not have the drivers from the manufacturer in support of Windows 8.  But it is worth the visit.

    I understand that you are looking for information about changing your language in French and the activation of the subscription of one year in Office 365.

    To change your Windows language:

    1. go into the Control Panel

    (2) If you are in category view , select clock, language and region , and then select language.

    (b) If you are using the icon , select language.

    3. click on Add a language.

    4. scroll the page up to F and then double-click French.

    5 choose Canada.

    6. click French (Canada) and select move up until it is at the top of the list.

    7. click on the Options to the right of the French (Canada)

    8. click on download and install the language pack.

    9. once the download is done, it will be installed automatically. This may take a few minutes.

    10. now, you should be able to make the French language active. It will prompt you to sign out and then sign back in to apply the changes.

  • BlackBerry BB Z10 Z10 - stopped contacts synchronization with Office 365 - calendar and emails are always fine synchronization

    I got my Z10 BB for over a month and email, calendar, and contacts were great my Office 365 account synchronization. E-mail and calendar always sync but I lost all connectivity to the contacts. Nothing appears from Office 365 (my other contacts appear ok to LinkedIn, etc.).

    Help because it is a critical feature on my phone. I can't call or email someone if I don't have their contact information.

    Contact synchronization problem has been solved by installing 10.1 from scratch. Now the timings of phone contacts Office 365 and vice versa. Still a mystery as to how he stopped working for a while.
