VDC organization network is grayed out & rents.

Trying to create a Organization in vCloud 5.5 VDC network applicance. But creating the network organization vDC is grayed out. I can only create a network of vApp.

No idea why I can't create a magnificent vDC organization network network?

&

If I want to create a paralytic with unlimited rental period. Where can I do this, if possible. :-)

Org vDC networks are a component of the VCC Org, who is only seen in the Administration > Org vDC > double-click the org vdc > Org vDC networks

You can create them under "My Cloud" when you provision a paralytic.  When you provision a paralytic, you can link the new TIME to an organization existing vDC network.

Seems that you have not any management VMkernel port or they may have been removed. You may need to check the same.

Run esxcli list of network ip interface to check if there is no VMKernels.

It does not generate re no output if NO vmkernel port is available.

If no. VMkernel ports then follow the below to re-create the management VMkernel port group.

esxcli network ip interface add-i = vmk0 Pei = "network management - M = 'MAC address' ' to create a VMKernel for management." Make sure the right to MAC address of the uplink is mentioned.

And make sure that it is a unique vmk, does not correspond to a vmk existing (vmk0, vmk1, vmk2).

Once the Port is created, you should be able to configure networking on the DCUI

  • Options grayed out after that migration vSwitch0 vmk0 to distributed network switch

I have a bunch of ESXi 6 guests, where I would like the default vSwitch0 to a vDS management interface. However, it seems that the management network gets screwed more or less of this operation

First I tried to simply migrate the physical interface and vmkernel to vds = no chance (resets the form configuration time to hosts)

Then I tried to connect a NIC seconday to the same switch, adding as a management console interface, make two interfaces marked as management interfaces. The uplink of vSwitch0 is replaced by the new interface and the vds is mapped to the original management interface. From this point, I can migrate vmk0 to the distributed switch and remove the extra card. All good, at least at first glance. The army continues to communicate with vCenter and so on. However, return to the console options to "Network adapters" and "VLANS (optional)" are grayed out. The only way I managed to get back them is again a reset to the default settings of the management network.

After som test front and rear, it seems that these options disappear as soon as vm0 leaves vSwitch0?

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

The army continues to communicate with vCenter and so on. However, back to the console options for "Network adapters" and "VLANS (optional)" are grayed out. The only way I managed to get back them is again a reset to the default settings of the management network.

I guess that's the expected behavior, because once your vmk0 has been migrated to vDS, now the vDS control plan which is with vCenter server will allow you to change these settings as network card and VLAN ID etc.

  • < Display Caller ID > disabled and grayed out.

The title says more or less. I found yesterday from my wife that when I call him my number comes as "unknown". I know where the preference "Show Caller ID" is, but it is grayed out as non-functional. It is set to 'stop' and will not be can depend on.

The phone is updated with iOS 9.3.2 and the update has been applied to several weeks (4-8) before this problem arose. I don't know things that occur out of no where, but that's how it seems. I restarted the phone and also reset network settings, but none has made a difference.

Just days before that, I discovered late one day that all my calls for the day have been "missed". I knew that something was wrong here. Started with AT & T and it turns out that I threw a good sting. AT & T had recently made an update to the system and it had somehow me switched to a phone restricted, could make calls but not receive calls. A few minutes later everything was fine - thought. Today, they assure me that the problem today is not theirs and I should call Apple. Long call with Apple broke and I had to get a call, it never came.

Don't know what else to say here. Any ideas/help appreciated.

IMO no matter what AT & T told you, it seems that the fault is theirs. You can just try it with a different sim card and you will have the answer. Also, try to connect your phone to iTunes and "check for updates". This function also checks the parameters of your career, so if there is an update, you will get it.

  • Airport Extreme connected to TIVO: why I can not change Type firewall for IPv4.  Field displays IPv6 and is grayed out so I can't change.

TIVO requires certain ports to be unblocked.  So I try to add the ports requiring TIVO.  But when you try to add the default Type of firewall IPv6 Port Mapping ports and I can't change the value of the IPv4 Port Mapping because the input field is grayed out and no is not accessible.  With Port IPv6 mapping I enter values in all areas except for the IPv6 address because I do not know what value to enter.  I think the button 'save' ' is not available to hit because the IPv6 address field is empty or not valid.  Note: my router Mode is ' Off (Bridge Mode).  Same questions if my router DHCP Mode.

I changed my router Mode DHCP and NAT, then on the Type of firewall on the default page add ports, IPv4 Port Mapping and I could add ports but with this setting, I couldn't connect to internet in my Airport Extreme: my status remains orange light flashing.

I use Comcast and my Airport Extreme is connected to my Comcast router using ethernet.

I use my Airport Extreme as a router (wired and WIRELESS) and as a backup device.

My TIVO is connected to my Airport Extreme using ethernet.

How can I add the Ports requiring TIVO.

Golden in the networking rule. ....... Never try to configure port mapping when you have two devices on the same network the two acting as a router.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what you're trying to do.

    You have three options:

    (1) run the Comcast router "as what" and configure the port on the device of Comcast mapping... .the airPort Extreme must be configured in Bridge Mode when you do this.

    (2) lance to the AirPort Extreme router Mode of DHCP and NAT and configure the ports on the airport map... the peripheral Comcast must be configured to operate as a simple modem in Bridge Mode when you do this.

    (3) lance to the AirPort Extreme router Mode of DHCP and NAT and configure the ports on the airport map... swap Comcast modem/router you have now for a simple modem (it will have only a single Ethernet port).

In other words, either the Comcast is defined as the router and AirPort Extreme is in Bridge Mode... or... the AiPort Extreme is configured as a router and Comcast must be configured in Bridge Mode.

If you choose Option 1, then we can not help you on a matter of Comcast router. In bridged Mode, the AirPort Extreme requires no configuration.

If you choose Option 2 or Option 3, then we the following port values that the Tivo device needs:

    Public or UDP ports

    Public TCP

    UDP private

    Private TCP

In addition, you need to find the MAC address for the TIVO.  It is a long code that looks something like this, for example:

    A1: B2: C3: D4: E5: F6

A link to the Tivo instructions for port mapping would also be very useful.  I have done this with a TIVO in the past, but is for some years.

If all goes well, an expert of TIVO will post to lend a hand.

  • El Capitan system preferences grayed out

Hi, I had a MacBook Air (11 inch, early 2014) Version OS X El Capitan 10.11.2. About a month or two before, my friend run pranked me and put a profile on my computer (the profiles that are in system preferences) and it grayed out some of my preference (Extensions, network, share, and profiles). I tried to remove him, but he repeated to me that he does not know how. I tried to do the thing when you hit NSPrefPaneGroups.xml, but because I'm under El Capitan, I am not able to delete this file because it's a file system or something else. Is there a way to solve this? Help, please!

Because the computer has been manipulated by a person with unknown intentions, the only course of action is to delete the internal drive, reinstall OS X and only restore your documents from a backup. You then need to install any other software support original or fresh downloads. That's what I recommend.

If you just want to remove the malicious profile and take your chances that nothing else has been done, see below.

Back up all data before proceeding.

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Please triple - click anywhere in the line below on this page to select:

    sudo profile -d

Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Paste in the Terminal window by pressing the command-V key combination. I tested these instructions only with the Safari browser. If you use another browser, you may need to press the return key after pasting.

You will be asked for your login password. Nothing displayed when you type. Type carefully, and then press return. If you do not have a password, you will need to configure one before you can run the command. You can get a warning to be careful. Confirm. You don't need to display the warning.

If you see a message that your user name "is not in the sudoers file", then you have not logged as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.

Wait for a new line ending with a dollar sign ($) below what you entered. You can then quit Terminal. Test.

A simple answer: you cannot use the Bluetooth because the Bluetooth device is not available on the Satellite A100-163.

  • Volume icon disappeared from my system tray, and the option is grayed out (don't let me check it out) in the taskbar and start menu properties screen /Notification

I don't know how to recover my volume icon - can anyone help?  Thank you!

    Hello

If one of the system icons is out, you can reactivate the as follows:

Right-click on the taskbar and select Properties. This will bring up the tab "properties of menu taskbar and start. It's where you mentioned, it is gray. It is very well...  From there, you can click on Customize button in the icon section. Look for the icon that you are missing, and check the status. The type of report should read "Hide icon and notifications", change that to "Show icon and notifications".

If this does not resolve the issue most likely you have a problem with group policy on your machine. This can be corrected by following the instructions on the following link:
