Vector images

Hi, I use windows vista, and I recently downloaded vector images purchased. They were saved as an eps file. How can I open them on my computer without going through adobe illustator. Whenever I try to open it, it just says that it is not a supported program.
Thank you!

Download and install GhostScript (required for IrfanView open the EPS files)- http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1897&package_id=108733

Download and install IrfanView - http://www.irfanview.com/

This should solve your problem.

  • Photoshop - artifacts on Vector Image smart object

    Hi people,

This is my first post. There may be a response to this somewhere on the forum already, but I can not just understand the search terms to use because the question is so specific.

I have an image that has been live traced in Illustrator, then placed in a Photoshop document. The photo was traced to the highest possible fidelity in order to maintain the good detail. It was traced from an image of 72 DPI in order to raise the quality of a print run of 300 ppi. The problem I have is with the anti-aliasing in the dough or the place function (it happens to be) in Photoshop. I copied the part of the vector image and moved the opposite side of the object, as it was necessary for the design and then grouped it upward with the main object. In the image below, I circled the part copied in red:

    RGPUe49.jpg

All sounds good in Illustrator, but when I paste or place it in Photoshop with active anti-aliasing, then a plethora of imperfections arise as wavy lines grey in passing a copy of the vector image, which I hope you will see below:

    YO8isvP.jpg

If it is difficult to distinguish, simply compare the flowers duplicated on top left of the image of the original on the right of the image.

If I turn off anti-aliasing at the image collage/placement, then these grey imperfections disappear, but the mix of colors and the edges of the leaves and flowers become jagged black background. To this end, I need to have the anti-aliasing feature enabled at the time of the image in Photoshop to maintain high image quality I'm after. The final image below shows what happens to the color of fusion when I do not use anti-aliasing:

    xv0DXfw.jpg

I hope someone can tell me what I'm missing here. The problem affects only the part a copy of the vector image. I guess this is where lies the answer, and so must be something that I have to change/do with the original in Illustrator vector so that it copies all information correctly; I don't know what it is that I need to change.

    Thanks in advance, people.

    Ben

Update: I managed to find a solution, even if I can't always work on what caused the problem in the first place.

The solution was to duplicate the vector smart object containing the flowers (circled in red in the first frame in OP) I duplicated originally from extended trace. I suspect it's just a quirk with anti-aliasing when you work with vectors in Photoshop. I can't be certain if.

  • Search for vector images

I have connected today and saw the new site of stock look and was horrified to see that I can specify is no longer I want to search for vector images.

Has anyone found how do it now?

If not it's horrible, I have to sift through the results more as much as I should to find what I want and be checking on the details page file formats to make sure it is the vector.

OK I found it. You must click on the bit next to the search field settings icon and then there's a section called ' subcategory and under that, there is a button for the vectors. " Not particularly intuitive and certainly not as easy it was on the first page.

    Please correct Adobe.

    See you soon

  • Trace vector & image - where's the color?

    Hello there!

I decided to take up adobe Illustrator and now I practice guiding logos. I have one that I'm testing my knowledge:

I learned beautiful ability to trace things vector image for me, but it ignores the trees and turn it into black and white spots.

I've done a bit of research, but maybe I'm just not not using the right keywords or not looking in the right places. Thanks for reading!

Look up in the control bar, with your selected item. Choose the name of the preset (I chose low fidelity), or click on the Preferences button to show all settings.

  • Can someone help me resize a vector image with pointer?

All of a sudden, I have problems with the vector image resizing. It will not let me click on a corner of the image, hold down the SHIFT key and drag to a size more grand/more small. Now I have to go to object > transform > scale, which becomes a game of riddles of %s. I worked in Illustrator for the ages and all of a sudden...?

    AJS,

What about view > see the bounding box (Ctrl / Cmd + Shift + B)?

Yes, 'Images' means pictures, Illustrations or vectors. Each image can only be one type of people. You do not get the same image in three formats.

  • Cut a piece of a vector image

    Hai!

I have a problem with a vector art that I downloaded on the internet. I need to cut out these droplets around the projection and multiply in free space. But when I try to do so, as in any other vector image that I worked on, all this falls apart. What I am doing wrong?

    Help, please!

    Link to the image: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102781723/Farba.ai

It is a very complex Assembly of thousands of frames to nested masks.

I guess this was not created in Illustrator and you can not take place without causing damage. You can try to flatten transparency.

  • Cannot resize no vector image well

Hey, I'm trying to resize flash no vector image and any time I believe I can't really bad resizing (hard edges).

Is there a way to resize normally Flash regular image? or do I have to edit the image in photoshop every time?

Right-click on it in your library, and make sure that [x] smoothing is checked to enable anti-aliasing while you resize.

    > Some time opened in Adobe Illustrator
    > Copy to clip board vector Art illustrator

    > Switch to Photoshop and paste the vector into a new or existing photoshop document

    > Your vector map of Europe in a photoshop layer must be a dynamic and saved as a PSD
    > Then place in MUSE resize and GO!
    > you will then be able to change at will
    > Republish and or change the vector so

    Time for dinner

I am a user of PS (CS6) for a long time and come to THE (CC). I placed a vector image purchased from Amnesty International and the need to get rid of the white background... make transparent but have no idea how to do that.  I tried to do in PS and then save and carry firearms but cannot save to the PS as a vector file (or AI) and the quality is greatly reduced.  How can I do this in artificial intelligence?

Are you sure that it is a vector file?

If Yes: embed him then comes white and select Remove.

If not: Photoshop lets you remove white.

  • Earser on vectorized image

    Hello

I got a trial of Illustrator to see how it works for the inking of the scanned drawings. I watched some lessons online and ever come across a problem that I can't solve, so any help would be appreciated.

I use a version-English so I hope that my translations of the shares will not be confusing.

I imported the image into illustrator, then objects used-> plotter of the image and converted to a vector image with filling of the area and no respect. So far so good.

I want to erase little mistakes in the drawing, that look like this

    1.PNG

If I use the eraser, what happens:

    2.PNG

If the path is oddly bend around the race of the gum, which is obviously not what I wanted to achieve. All the videos I watched on the gum, there functioned and if I just create a space with the form of the task and erase some of that, that works fine as well. What is different with the vectorized image?

    Thanks in advance

You should have traced ignore checked white. It seems that if you have duplicate paths.

Or else trace so that the result is a battery. This makes for easier editing.

  • Vector images of poor quality in InDesign

I am just placing a vector image in InDesign I made in Illustrator (saved as .png), however, when I place it, it ends up being shoddy and staircase.  Dsiplay performance is set to quality and image quality changes when I change the size, which obviously should not happen.  Any ideas as to what is happening here and how to fix it?

I'll be too busy for awhile to get there, but I will annotate the original a little file to show you what to look for when tracing and dynamic painting are used.

You can set high quality in preferences (if I remember correctly) for all new documents.

    Take care, Mike

  • How to convert a simple bitmap into a vector image?

I need to convert a vector of this shopping cart bitmap image: http://ImageShack.us/a/img94/7391/Cartt.PNG

It's a very simple picture, but when I try to use the tracking of Image tool in CS6 it fails miserably.

Is there a simple way to convert this to a vector image in Illustrator?

    Thank you!

    A little icon there, Noob.

Big enough to see the details and draw with the pen tool. Or, perhaps a Google search free shopping cart vector icons would be sufficient.
